[edit] Your User Page

Hey there, Antisexy. Some anonny created your user page. If that was you, please login and confirm this. Otherwise, a sysop will delete it. We have a strict policy that only you can edit your user page. This is to protect it from someone adding wrong info about yourself. Thanks, and keep on tranglin' Loafing 01:27, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

It was me. I thought I was logged in.--Antisexy 01:37, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] IP Contributions

Hi there, and welcome to the wiki! Actually, the talk page posts you made as an IP address should stay signed with that IP. The best way for you to attribute those posts to yourself is to link to Special:Contributions/72.161.170.161 on your user page (after logging in, of course). Thanks for understanding, and welcome to the wiki! Trey56 01:37, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Well, I already changed a few. (The more recent ones that I care about.) Does it really matter all that much? I mean essentially all I'm doing is proofreading my own posts.--Antisexy 01:40, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I suppose that makes sense — now that you've verified that this username belongs to that IP, feel free to change those sigs if you want. Laters, Trey56 01:42, 10 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Recent edits (don't worry, you're not in trouble!)

Hey there, Antisexy! Noticed you've been making some good edits lately. Just dropping by to kindly request that the good work you have been doing be kept up. Incidentally, you shouldn't expect a riot to start just because you made an edit that you thought was necessary, regardless of your past experiences with this wiki. I prefer to think of us as more civil than that. ;) Has Matt? (talk) 04:05, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Well, like I said on my user page, I hope to eventually be proven wrong.--Antisexy 04:07, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Touché. Has Matt? (talk) 04:13, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Well, here's an exercise - how many sysops wanted to merge and how many wanted to keep the article? I'll tell you, the sysops are as fais as can be, and I am sure you've seen the Wikipedia article, so I'll simply leave it to you to decide. [edit] JPG/PNG

Hey there, Antisexy. I see that one of your images (this one) has the extention of .jpg. Generally screenshots are supposed to end with .png As long as the Image is one of your personal images it doesn't really matter, but I can change the extention to .png if you'd like. See ya, Homestar-Winner (talk) 01:15, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

I can get it png'd, but just out of curiousity, why's it matter?--Antisexy 01:17, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
JPGs have all sorts of compression artifacts and look bad. That's why we don't use them for articles. But as far as personal images go, you can have anything you want. It's yours, after all. --DorianGray 01:18, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Alright. So now how do I delete the jpeg? Also, I uploaded the picture for my page, but I figured it couldn't hurt to put it on the page for the toon it's from, since we have it. Where would be a good place to put it? Next to the part about the Akira refrence?--Antisexy 01:27, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
oh... you beat me to the delete. Now how 'bout answerin' part 2?--Antisexy 01:28, 13 August 2007 (UTC)
Down in the Real-World References would be a good place. The image wouldn't even be personal, then. --DorianGray 01:30, 13 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] A friendly debate

My main problem with the way the admin clique runs the site is that sometimes they seem to forget that most people who come here are just average run-of-the-mill Homestar dorks, and not super mega uber nerds like themselves. They want to keep everything encyclopedic, neat and clean, based on proven facts, scientific, clear cut, humorless, and speculation-free.
(My Mouth Tastes Like... is) certainly not the worst waist [sic] of webspace on the site.

I've seen a few comments by you on how Don Knotts should not be a page, yet your stated philosophy is rather inclusive and, frankly, derisive of the "cabal" attitude (which I won't even get into!) that pages without specific attributes should not exist. I'm seeing that as a contradiction. If you were given free reign to design standards which makes some pages definitely useful, My Mouth Tastes Like... borderline as you described, and Don Knotts wasteful, what would they look like? Curious as to your response. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 09:17, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

Well, it just all just stems from too strong a focus on "strictly encyclopedic." Stuff that's interesting and funny but isn't grounded in facts gets rejected on the quickfast, but people encyclopedic-knowledge the crap out of completely irrelevant stuff that is grounded in facts. Real people like Mr. Knotts and Moses Malone already have their own page on Wikipedia, where stuff is supposed to get encyclopedic-knowledge'd the crap out of. A Real World Refrence entry and a link to the appropriate Wikipedia page is all that's needed. Having a separate page for stuff like that would be like having a separate page for the Bubb Rubb whistling guy. We should include everything we can, with a lot more emphasis on the fun and interesting instead of just the "facts" of a talking animal cartoon. But we don't need to make a seperate page for every single little thing.
Now on the other hand, over the past few weeks my opinion has started to change. I used to loathe pages that documented every single unrelated occurrence of irrelevant stuff that appears in different forms half a dozen times, like Eggs, Dan, Guns, Alcohol, and Strong Bad Wearing A Shirt. But now that I'm trying to take a more active role around here, I'm beginning to see the need to tie all those together, no matter how minor. This is why I'm not sure about My Mouth Tastes Like..., because two weeks I would have said get rid of it, but now I can kind of see the point in keeping it. And if Don Knotts ever shows up again, I'll be all for his page.--Antisexy 18:18, 21 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Name change

I've changed your name for you. Sorry for the delay; ordinarily it doesn't take that long, but your edit slipped by the radar. A tip: If an post you made has gone unnoticed, instead of commenting about it on a relatively unseen page (e.g. your user page or a random user's talk page), just post a friendly reminder on the page in question, which will bring the page back to the top of watchlists. Talk atcha later! — It's dot com 00:59, 24 August 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I would have done that in another week or so, but I wasn't in any really big hurry.--Johnny Jupiter 03:39, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
So, does this mean you are more sexy than before? (Not that I am taking a personal interest, mind you; just curious.) Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 10:50, 25 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit] familiar...

of any chance, are you antisexual? Slipknot6477 02:02, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

Um... Are you asking if I used to be User:Antisexy or if I prefer an Antisexual lifestyle?
The former: Yes.
The latter: Not really, but a complete answer would require several paragraphs of information not appropriate for this Wiki.--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 03:00, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Wow...

I totally agree with your admin-clique bashing... people are constantly asking help from sysops only and won't accept it from other experienced users who aren't... It drives me insane. — talk Bubsty edits 01:21, 19 September 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Delayed Award

You're clearly lying. No one on the interwebs has a girlfriend, that's why we come here... If we DID have girlfriends, we'd be out with them, not sitting in front of computers all day... :P In all seriousness, tell the girlfriend to keep up the good work... — Defender1031*Talk 05:55, 10 February 2008 (UTC)

Yeah, I know. This is my girlfriend.

And the truth comes out! I figured you had to be one of those weirdos who thinks a puppet or drawing is his girlfriend... — Defender1031*Talk 18:15, 10 February 2008 (UTC)
That is one UGLY girlfriend... umm.. you're the one in the red shoes, right? OptimisticFool 01:15, 6 March 2008 (UTC)
No, the one it the red shoes is my girlfriend. I'm not in the picture. That other thing is just her silly puppet that she's always playing with.--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 01:44, 6 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] What happened here? Some type of Pillows concert go off?

So, I noticed your mention of road-tripping down to Georgia, and subsequent mention of the Pillows, and I was wondering...hey, man. Are Pillows concerts real? I mean, I had thought of going to Georgia m'self, but, um...the Pillows kind of don't live on this continent, and TBC do, so the latter will be easier to see again in the future. Plus the whole I'm-18-but-not-21 thing.
Also, since I'm already here on your talk page--my curiosity's been killing me. Have you been to classes at STLCC in the past couple of years? I swear I've seen you on campus before. --Onamuji (b/w T. C.  ) 03:50, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

Check out their MySpace. They're currently on tour in the US. Not comming anywhere near Missouri though. The closest is Austin, Texas, and that was a few days ago. But this wasn't their first US tour, and I really hope it won't be their last. As for there being more Limozeen concerts, I'd be completely thrilled, but I personally think seeing The Pillows would be more likely. Since, unlike The Pillows, kick-a** rock shows aren't what TBC do for a living.
You must be thinking of someone else. I've been to SLCC a few times with my girlfriend, but only within the past few months. I've never attended classes there.--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 06:42, 20 March 2008 (UTC)

[edit] Signature test

[edit] HSR themed usernames

Occasionally I think of Homestar Runner phrases that would make good HRWiki user names. I figured this is a good place to mark them down as I think of them, just to share. I'm pretty satisfied with Johnny Jupiter, but it'd be totally cool if any new users want to use any of these ideas.--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 06:24, 11 January 2011 (UTC)

I like this list. Would any sysops care to decide if it would push HRW:US#What about user subpages? to have this moved to a user subpage? Soiled Bargains (talk|ctrb) 21:29, 11 January 2011 (UTC)
As this list fleshes out more, I think I like that. Maybe it could even be linked to from HRWiki:Introduction or something....--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 19:34, 14 January 2011 (UTC)
