At the irc channel page, it says if you don't have an irc client or you are not sure, just go to a link. can somebody put that here? i would love to play triviatime, but i don't know how because when i click on the other links, they won't work. {{User: Seriously/sig}} 20:47, 5 February 2006 (UTC)

Capitalization

Will capitalization matter when giving the answers? - Joshua 00:38, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

I don't think so. But I always put them all lowercase, for sake of uniformity. I'm quite sure that Capitalization doesn't matter one bit in either the question or the answer, though. Thunderbird 01:21, 30 November 2005 (UTC)
Good, because if it did, we'd have a problem. - Joshua 01:41, 30 November 2005 (UTC)

2 things

I think there should be a section on the page where people can request new in-game messages (such as "Is _ related to Einstein?" and stuff). I also think the topic in the channel #hrwiki-trivia should have a link to this page, since it seems like most people don't even know about it. EdSmilde 00:42, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

Halloween Costumes

I think a clever section would be to ask who each character dressed as in each Halloween toon. That'd give you, like, 50 new questions right there. I just thought I'd ask first, so you wouldn't have to revert a lot of stuff. --DorianGray

50's a big number for a single running gag, even if it is a large running gag. Personally, I think i'd be a good idea, except without covering everybody so there's only 10 or so questions. - Joshua 20:55, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
At least one for each character, then, perhaps? I'm just thinking that, if the goal is to get upwards of 2000 questions, we need all we can get, right? You are right about it being a lot for one single idea, though. --DorianGray
Well, fifty halloween costume questions will be fine when there are, like 2000 questions total. But right now there aren't nearly that many, and we don't want to lopside TriviaTime. - Joshua 21:13, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
Righto. I'll leave it be for now. Just putting the idea out there. --DorianGray
Uh, TriviaTime's already pretty lopsided toward sbemails, isn't he? When you're writing questions I say go for broke. — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 21:48, 5 December 2005 (UTC)
There you go, then. All the Halloween costumes (including the Goblin, the Knight, and the Hornblower). The Cheat's first costume is included in the Homestar Quiz section. I wrote 'em exactly as they were listed on the costumes pages, by the way. Hope that can tilt the balance from the emails, and add a bit more of trivia for ya. --DorianGray

Scoring Suggestion

Hey, for scoring, why don't you have two scoreboards? One for the big picture, and then one for the individual round. That way users can challenge others with stuff like "Whoever has the most points in 50 questions wins." - Joshua 23:58, 5 December 2005 (UTC)

That all depends on if it's possible on the program bot JoeyDay uses. Maybe it is...EdSmilde
Yeah, and it's not possible as far as I can tell. Whenever I switch TriviaTime to a more permanent PC I may try installing Linux and experimenting with some different trivia bot programs. Right now I'm running him in Windows and there just aren't that many reliable trivia bots that run on Windows, believe it or not. The one I'm using now is pretty reliable but also somewhat featureless. — wikisig.gif Joey (talk·edits) 23:41, 7 December 2005 (UTC)

Longest page

Not only has Joey created the wiki's thousandth page, but he as also created the longest, coming in at over seventy-one thousand bytes. Congratulations. — Lapper (talk) 22:30, 25 December 2005 (UTC)

It might need to be split up into seperate pages...
Don't think it can do that, due to its nature (although I know less than nothing about bots and programming). If it works the way I think (and it probably doesn't), splitting wouldn't work. Assuredly, if Joey wants to split it up, he will. --DorianGray
