Chinese Translation

I think that "我不喜欢饭了!" means "I did not like the food!" Am I right? - Saddy Dumpington 19:44, 24 October 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, I guess since I archived my talk, there's no way for you too see that it's already been answered by Dot com. My bad. Anyway, it actually means "I don't like food anymore!" Heimstern Läufer 01:31, 25 October 2007 (UTC)

GERM. FUN!!(note:germ. is short for german)

  • rot=red,
  • orange=orange,
  • rosa=pink,
  • braun=brown,
  • gelb=yellow,
  • grun=green,
  • blau=blue
  • lila=purple
  • purpur=magenta
  • weib=white
  • grau=gray
  • schwartz=black

That's all german I know.Rinop 21:11, 29 October 2007 (UTC)

Mostly good. Only changes: "weib" should be "weiß" (or "weiss"), and "schwartz" should be "schwarz". Heimstern Läufer 20:20, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
And "grun" should be "grün". And make sure you wash your hands after having fun with germs. Be safe, Loafing 20:26, 31 October 2007 (UTC)
Ah yes, forgot that one. Heimstern Läufer 20:31, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Well, that's because, well fine, redo:

  • rot=red
  • orange=orange
  • rosa=pink
  • braun=brown
  • gelb=yellow
  • grün=green
  • blau=blue
  • lila=purple
  • purpur=magenta
  • weiss=white
  • grau=gray
  • schwarz=black

And, the germ in germ fun was actually a abb. I made up for German.Rinop

I can count to one billion in German =D... Will I? no...

Das würde zu lange dauern! :-) Heimstern Läufer 23:33, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

"You can't destroy me!" from candy product. --DorianGray 19:30, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Correct as usual! Heimstern Läufer 20:18, 31 October 2007 (UTC)

Nov 6 2007 Opera Quote

Re this: The opera is Carmen, and I'm not sure if this is what you're looking for, but the name "Carmen" can be found at the ends of Homestarloween Party and The House that Gave Sucky Treats when Strong Bad's costumes are revealed. Trey56 02:32, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

'Zactly. I would have accepted either of those as correct answers; you were good enough to give both. Heimstern Läufer 03:56, 6 November 2007 (UTC)

Block Notices

Hey Heimstern Läufer. Is it okay if I tell people that they have been blocked for x days and come back and make good edits. Is it? User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 22:54, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

I don't think you should. Better to leave that to the sysop making the block. Also, it needs to be better worded than this. "Come back and make good edits" could be read as sarcastic (you probably didn't mean it that way, but it can be seen that way). Heimstern Läufer 23:00, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
Also, sam, if you're going to ask if it's okay to do something, better to ask BEFORE doing it... — Defender1031*Talk 23:01, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
Okay. Just askin. And as the conclusion ends, it is established that Homestar breaks in to way to many houses. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 23:06, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
In case you are wondering, the reason I took so long is that I'm always very hesitant to block users who may be acting in good faith, even if misguidedly. In this case, I blocked only when it was clear that nothing else was going to stop the disruption. Heimstern Läufer 23:35, 7 November 2007 (UTC)
I think the guy you blocked will get back at Bubs and Coach Z's Relationship tomorrow. Either that, or create the page again. Or even vandalize your page. What should we do? User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 00:23, 8 November 2007 (UTC)
Nothing. We don't block users for stuff they didn't do yet. If he comes back, and let's don't get over our heads here in who this guy is, he will be dealt with. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 08:20, 8 November 2007 (UTC)

Testing, exam time message

hey Heimstern Läufer, how are you? listen, I'll be having my year 10 exams in the coming weeks, so I'll off Homestar runner wiki for a while, can you tell me what that message is called, and where it it?

much appreciate, Nikolce Kocovski 04:41, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

We don't have a specific template for that purpose, but you can always just add a note to your userpage saying you'll be away. Heimstern Läufer 08:08, 19 November 2007 (UTC)

Invitation to register

I've been meaning to say thanks for your kind words, even back before I'd registered. You definitely made me feel more welcome.  :) DAGRON 18:51, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

My pleasure. Keep up the work you do around the wiki. Heimstern Läufer 20:00, 29 November 2007 (UTC)

Marshie

isn't he saying "you can't destroy me?"
AwkwardFire 06:37, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

Correct, but DorianGray has already answered it correctly (see above on my talk page). Good work, anyway. Heimstern Läufer 06:38, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

I guess i can't have my cupcake or eat it, either...
AwkwardFire 06:45, 10 December 2007 (UTC)

sorry

sorry 'bout that Heimstern, I was forced by theyellowdart to do that Snickjames55 04:29, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

You were forced to do this? How? Heimstern Läufer 04:41, 22 December 2007 (UTC)

Re:

Hi, Emroski! Welcome to HRWiki! I saw that you've begun making Turkish subtitles; are you a native speaker of Turkish? Anyway, I'm glad to see you've started to edit here, and I hope you'll have a great time at this wiki! If you have any questions, you can feel free to ask on my talk page. Talk atcha later! Heimstern Läufer 06:24, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Re: Hi, German buddy, I'm not a new user. I registered Homes Turk at first, that is reserved username (for school). My actual name is Homes Turk, man. With crackles, Emroski 06:29, 27 December 2007 (UTC)

Hmm, OK. I don't quite follow why you need two accounts, though, since users are usually only allowed to have one. Heimstern Läufer 06:40, 27 December 2007 (UTC)
It might be a good idea, since public computers sometimes have viruses or something... The Goblin!! 20:32, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
And how would that matter? Virus can't travel via same user account. — Defender1031*Talk 20:40, 29 December 2007 (UTC)
The Goblin: It's true that some users at Wikipedia follow this practice (myself included). But as far as I know, our policy does not allow for that at this time. Heimstern Läufer 20:43, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Question (H*R Wiki banner)

Hey Heimstern Laufer, you told me on my talk page that I could ask you a question, so I'll ask you one (this will be the only time, I promise). I'm going to make a H*R Wiki banner because I'm bored, is there a certain place I should put it? Image:Kurosaki_signature_image_flower.png Kurosaki · talk 20:20, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

What kind of banner do you mean, and how would it be used? For example, if it would go on your user page, then it would be a personal image. If you're interested in making a lot of banners, then the fanstuff wiki probably has a place for that. (Also, feel free to ask more than just that one question. :) ) — It's dot com 21:07, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
I also feel I should point we already have a couple of our own official banners, but we haven't had any new ones in a long, long time. --DorianGray 21:11, 2 January 2008 (UTC)
It's dot com — I was talking about banners advertising the site, like on the article DorianGray linked to. I do think I will be making a lot of these. Here is a banner I made. Image:Kurosaki_signature_image_flower.png Kurosaki · talk 23:49, 2 January 2008 (UTC)

My bad

I thought he was removeing someone comment from the talk page. Must be my Dyslexia. Ya sorry about that. The-homsarrunner 6:13 Jan,13,2008

OK. Heimstern Läufer 18:16, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Lost in Translation

Hey Heimstern. For your translation of "The King of Town" (Der König der Stadt), literally, that means "The King the town". Wouldn't it be better to say something like "Der Stadtkönig" or "Der König von Stadt"? I'm only in German I, so obviously my translation wouldn't compare to yours. But nonetheless, could you provide feedback?

--Zerlock1124 23:28, 14 January 2008 (UTC)

Good question, Zerlock. Here's my answer: although "von" is sometimes used to translate the English "of", it's also very common to simply change the noun into the genitive case. In this case, the noun is "die Stadt". Changing it to the genitive makes it "der Stadt". So "Der König der Stadt" is actually "The King of (the) Town" because "Stadt" is in the genitive. Heimstern Läufer 23:32, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
Ah, Danke. -Zerlock1124 04:18, 20 January 2008 (UTC)

Dissenting Party?

I am NOT throwing a dissenting party. For one thing, my apartment isn't big enough, for another, I can't afford the alcohol. Plan your own parties rather than claiming that other people are throwing one! — Defender1031*Talk 04:10, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

You are absolutely no fun. Hmmpf. Heimstern Läufer 04:11, 27 January 2008 (UTC)

Troll attack

Well, look like Dr.who is back (with more sock puppets) we better keep are eyes open. Good job at reverting is vandalism. I was in the middle of greeting him. Well good job The-homsarrunner

answer to the german translation

"Du kannst mich nicht zerstören!" translates to "Capital M and then arshie!" That's my guess. --The 386 My talk 02:31, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

Already been solved, and it's "You can't destroy me!" Heimstern Läufer 02:44, 7 February 2008 (UTC)

hey

anyways i read what u gave me and am now trying to get to be a sysop.

Also..

You might want User:Heimstern Laufer. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 00:17, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Actually, that's a vandal username. And I'm no vandal! But in all seriousness, when we've discussed userpage redirects in the past, we've usually talked about each person only being allowed one redirect, so I won't make that redirect unless the community clearly favours it. Heimstern Läufer 00:21, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
I favor it... screw the vandal, he's not coming back, he doesn't need that page. — Defender1031*Talk 00:28, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
The vandal issue is not the main one. It's whether or not the community is OK with me having more than one. And yes, I register that you are cool with it. Heimstern Läufer 00:31, 19 February 2008 (UTC)
If you want it, I be cool with it Heimstern. :) --Stux 02:42, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
Me too. And if I got one redirect, I'd pick User:Homestar winner. Homestar-Winner (talk) 02:44, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
