Birds / Images

Hey, nice work on collecting the info on the other birds in Teen Girl Squad. Your page looked quite good for a first revision, and if some of that information weren't already incorporated on other pages, the page you made would've looked great the way you organized it. Hope you don't mind that it went through some evolution, but I think that Birds (Teen Girl Squad) is greatly improved by adding the other birds you collected data on.

Just a quick note on images — when you take screenshots of Homestar Runner toons, PNG format is the standard way to go — there's some loss of data with JPGs. No big deal, just thought it's save you some trouble in the future.

Anyways, thanks for the contributions — it's helpful to have people around who know how to format nice-looking tables like you did :) Laters, Trey56 03:08, 14 September 2007 (UTC)

Welcoming

Hi Foop. I'm glad you are enthusiastic about welcoming people, but let me give you a few pointers.

• User talk:That'sBupkis. I'm not sure if you knew this, but you welcomed him twice. Make sure you check the page's history to see if you have already welcomed someone. Some people like to read a message and then delete it, so it's something to be aware of.

• User talk:Jay/Half the chance. This is not actually a user talk page. It's a user talk subpage belonging to User:Jay. But he's been here longer than I have, so I'm sure he knows his way around the place. :)

• When using your template to welcome people, try to put "subst:" into the template, like this: {{subst:User:Foop/welcome}}. There are a couple reasons for this. It reduces the strain on the server, for one, and it also makes it so that the section's [edit] button doesn't go to your template page.

Hope this helps. Please be aware that it's not necessary to welcome everybody, especially those who have never made an edit. It's best to be as personal as possible.
