Userbox

Umm, don't you want that here instead? — Defender1031*Talk 17:12, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Userbox moved to User Page. Thanx Ert plus 17:23, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
This is how responses work, also please sign with four tildas (~~~~) and it automatically puts a sig for you, and also please use show preview when you're doing a lot of editing to the same page. — Defender1031*Talk 17:21, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
There ya go! good jorb, can't wait to see you start editing! — Defender1031*Talk 17:25, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Recent Changes Patrol

I noticed that you put up the userbox saying that you patrol recent changes. If you do, why not you join the Recent Changes Patrol? Homestar-Winner (talk) 17:36, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Using Show Preview

Hello Ert plus, I see that you have made several consecutive edits to the same page. I want to point out the Show Preview button. It's right next to the Save Page button when you edit. You should use it whenever you are making a lot of experimental edits, for example when you are trying to get formatting right. Using the Show Preview button is quicker and easier than saving and clicking "edit" again, and will keep recent changes and page histories from being flooded. Thanks, — Defender1031*Talk 18:17, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

I forgot a few times, but 'll remember to use it every time– Ert+ 18:20, 17 August 2007 (UTC)
That's okay. Not a biggie. — Defender1031*Talk 18:22, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Signature size

Hello, Mr. plus. I like the way your sig looks, but I'm afraid it's a bit too big. According to HRWiki:Signature, your sig has to be able to fit in this box:

{{{{{1}}}}}

and your sig is a couple pixels too tall.

--Ert+ (talk · edits)

See? So, if you could just make it a couple pixels smaller, everyone will be happy. See you 'round, Homestar-Winner (talk) 19:27, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Also background colors in signatures are frowned upon. — Defender1031*Talk 19:32, 17 August 2007 (UTC)

Signature size

The signature fits into the box perfectly, now, after SIG-nificant changes (I think it looks really HOT!!!. After a few hours, I was able to finally fit it exactly to my specifications, and make it exactly the way I want it. — Defender1031*Talk motivated this idea, and I figure I could use some more helpful ideas from him. Thoughts? --Ert+ (talk · edits) 05:17, 18 August 2007 (UTC)

Lookin' good, Ert plus ;) Homestar-Winner (talk) 12:17, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
Actually, on my browser (Firefox), the parentheses are still a tiny bit outside the box. I'm not especially bothered by it, but others might be. One or two more slight adjustments should do it. Has Matt? (talk) 14:50, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
I use Firefox too, but I don't see any parentheses thinking outside the box. DEI DAT VMdatvm center\super contra 14:56, 18 August 2007 (UTC)
After taking a closer look at the signature, the bottom of the parenthesis actually just barely touches the bottom of the box. I zoomed in 1000% to take a closer look using Internet Explorer 7, and the parentesis merely adjoin, not overlap, the bottom of the box. --Ert+ (talk · edits) 04:20, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Hey erty, it's the side not the bottom, and i think your sig should be smaller anyway. keeping it at normal size and still doing the gradient would be awesome. — Defender1031*Talk 04:25, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
I reduced the sig to normal size. By the way, do fonts on the wiki have 1/2 sizes as well? (e.g. font-size=12.5) Also, the sig will always touch the side if italicized, maybe I should put a space before it? --Ert+ (talk · edits) 05:27, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Nah, it still fits the box. — Defender1031*Talk 05:28, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Ok, cool. Is the regular font 10pt? I thought about upgrading to 12pt, but i don't know if i should --Ert+ (talk · edits) 05:34, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
Nah, looks great the way it is. — Defender1031*Talk 05:48, 19 August 2007 (UTC)
sig change: complete! --Ert+ (talk · edits) 05:53, 19 August 2007 (UTC)

Watchlist: Help!

I created a watchlist, and did notice that a ! appears whenever a page on the list has been edited. However, after looking at the changes, the ! didn't go away. What can I do to remove it after the page has been reviewed? --Ert+ (talk · edits) 04:10, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

Those things have nothing to do with the watchlists, that shows all of the non patrolled edits. I think it's the same for all of us. If you want to stop it, mark all edits that are not vandalism or doesn't need to be rv as patrolled. --Kanjiro talk 04:20, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
OK, in that case, the ! doesn't bother me so much. Thanx. --Ert+ (talk · edits) 04:37, 20 August 2007 (UTC)
