04:21, 6 Sep 2005 (UTC) Elcool (talk)(contribs) Thanks, man! I know I was going to do just users with those carzy sigs, But you and BazookaJoe are so awesome, you just had to be there.
04:25, 6 Sep 2005 (UTC) זה נקודה קום — I appreciate that. Thanks! I was pleasantly surprised to find my name in the list.

Image patrol

Hey Cool. Don't forget to mark as patrolled this flood of image captions you're doing. Maybe you could patrol Coder's and she could patrol yours. Just a thought. I'd help you, but I'm off to work. — זה נקודה קום

I'd like to do that, but does it realy metter? It would take me twice as much time to do so. I know it's a real flood of edits, but my goal is to clean up as much images as possible in as little time that I can. Petroling each and every one would take forever! In normal case, changes need to be patroled, but this is fast editing. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 16:59, 7 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Every change has to be patrolled. These especially should be patrolled, so that they can be hidden (thus revealing the regular edits). You could patrol them in chunks of 20 or so as you're going. If I have time later, I'll help you. — It's dot com 17:07, 7 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Sababa. Patrolled all edit on the main recent changes page. The rest, is up to G.. Someone else. every 20 edits, I'll patrol mine. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 17:25, 7 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I've been working on this off and on today. I got depressed when I counted and there were like 843 unpatrolled edits. *sigh* — It's dot com 05:33, 8 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I'll say, let bygones be bygones, and leave all of those past changes. From now on, I'll patrol my edit and the picture edits. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:10, 8 Sep 2005 (UTC)
There is exactly zero point to demanding that people patrol their own edits. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 07:20, 8 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Nobody is demanding anything, so you don't have to yell. Just a few days ago, however, we had it down to zero unpatrolled edits. Since you two are the ones who flooded the recent changes with all these image edits, I thought it only fair that you guys help patrol them. I myself offered to help, and probably patrolled close to a hundred before getting weary. This is a long project, but it needs doing and therefore will get done. By the way, I actually don't normally patrol my own edits unless they are very minor. I like to have someone checking to make sure I didn't mess up something accidentally. That's why I originally suggested you two check each other's edits. — It's dot com 07:32, 8 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Sorry, I didn't mean to yell, I meant emphasis *blush* OK then, I see what you were saying. *runs away* Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 15:31, 8 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Aw, don't run away, Amanda. Anydangways, I kinda got the bug last night, and I decided to see just how many edits I could patrol before I keeled over from sheer exhaustion. Of the 800 or so edits that were still outstanding when I started, I marked at least 625 of them as patrolled, including all of the aforementioned images up to that point. *passes out* — It's dot com 16:35, 8 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I didn't leave the discussion. Just have nothing to add to it. I was going to criticize the patrol system, but it would be to no use when you already explained it's importance above. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 16:47, 8 Sep 2005 (UTC)
The main problem with the patrol system is when there's a new page or a lot of minor edits. In each of these cases, it floods the recent changes. It would be nice if there was a way to "mass patrol" things like that, but at least I did figure out a method to rapidly do the ones I patrolled, so no worries. At any rate, you gotta do the best you can. (And work out twice a day. Don't ask me why I said it. Because I already forgot.) — It's dot com 16:57, 8 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Wow, don't kill yourself, man. I patrolled like 25 of those image edits before my eyes rang up "NO SALE." You should at least get a trophy full of Steak-Ums for that insane effort. THE SMOKING MONKEY 17:03, 8 Sep 2005 (UTC)

In progress

I think the wording could use a little tweaking. Look at the template now and tell me what you think. — It's dot com 19:30, 24 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Well, I just copied the code from part-time job (Look at the bottom). Everytime someone started the transcript on the DVD section, they used the full code for it, so I made a template! Elcool (talk)(contribs) 19:37, 24 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Okay, now I understand why you did what you did, but you didn't give your opinion on what I did. :) — It's dot com 19:46, 24 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Dude, do I really have to tell you? You already know that everything you do is great :) Elcool (talk)(contribs) 19:54, 24 Sep 2005 (UTC)
:) Thanks, my friend. — It's dot com
Still, the wiki belongs to everybody, and I of course value your input and feedback. I have another thought on this subject: I think the page should be moved to {{inprogress}}. What do you think? — It's dot com 20:20, 24 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Good idea! Now that the text is changed.. Elcool (talk)(contribs)

Congratulations

On your simple Google cross-referance Homestar Israel search result. I wish a simple Google Search would put my userpage on the top. Oh, and I capitalized your search. I hope you don't mind. The result remains the same, but Israel should be capitalized being the name of a place, and Homestar being the name of a character. Thunderbird 20:34, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Hi! What do you know? Google do like you. Search: Thunderbird Homestar, Thunderbird L17, l17 homestar... The fact is, if you post somwthing on the Internet, Google will fing it. You just need to search it. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 08:58, 3 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Well yea, but it's not like 'English Homestar' puts me at the top or anything... But thanks. That's still quite cool, thanks El Coolio (Probably how they might refer to you in Spanish). Thunderbird 17:53, 7 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Well, you can start learning some strange forgotten laguage and relate Homestar to it. Want to have the first Klingon Fan site? Or how about listing all Strong Bad Emails in Hieroglyphs? You could reach the top spot in no time! Elcool (talk)(contribs) 19:34, 7 Oct 2005 (UTC)
Oooooh! A Klingon fan site! Now there's an idea! We could also have one in Goa'uld or Ancient; The latter shouldn't be too hard, because it's a derivative of Latin. We could have a Latin site too! Much like the big wikipedia! Ah! the posibilities are endless!--Stux 16:52, 8 Oct 2005 (UTC)
o.O
I think I'll just stick with english. Funny though, how H*R jumps straight from English to Hebrew, of all languages. Do they even have it on the French or Spanish wikipedias? ציפורעם
You'd think it would be, but no. Only Hebrew. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:32, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

Templates

I just found your hidden ":" tempates page. Your userpage is just full of easter eggs! Anyways, thanks for that full handy list. How many of them did you make? (I know at least the sightings one isn't yours, I made that). Thunderbird 20:39, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Well I made the toons and shots ones, but I'm not sure about the others.--minibaseball.png Bkmlb(talk to me·stuff I did) 20:51, 2 Oct 2005 (UTC)

And I made The Cheat Commandos, Limozeen, Strong Bad Email Info and added alot to Teen Girl Squad. All the other were there when I found them. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:30, 3 Oct 2005 (UTC)

Other Costumes

Hey E.L. I was wondering if whether they shouldn't be "Other Costumes <character>" instead of "<character> Other Costumes". Switch over to IRC and let's talk about it. — It's dot com 19:10, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

Ok. I'm there Elcool (talk)(contribs) 19:11, 15 October 2005 (UTC)
For anyone who wants to know, we talked about it and decided to follow the pattern set by "<character> Evolution", which is the way E.L. was originally doing it. Carry on, carry on. — It's dot com 19:22, 15 October 2005 (UTC)

I made it! My first one!

This is from the .net IRC channle just now:

<Elcool> do you have a userpage?
<Gokoujin> ?
<Elcool> on the wiki
<Gokoujin> ...?
Gokoujin is confused. Alot.
<Elcool> you do know we have a wiki, right?
<Elcool> http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/Main_Page
<Gokoujin> Nope.
<Elcool> so.. how.. nevermind
<Gokoujin> HOLY CRAP
<Elcool> just.. go to the wiki. the best fan site ever
<Elcool> what?
<Gokoujin> it is
<Elcool> :)

Elcool (talk)(contribs) 09:51, 16 October 2005 (UTC)

Weird. How would somebody get on the IRC and not go through the Wiki first? --אוקאלייליי (Ookelaylay)
Beats me. it wat on the .net IRC. not the hrwiki one. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 22:11, 16 October 2005 (UTC)
Must've come through homestarrunner.net. It's got a link to the IRC channel on it. ציפורעם
Yeah. it was. By the way, if you want to write youre hebrew siggy easier, just do what Pertmywert did. make /siggy2 or /hebsiggy in your subpage and put the code in there. That way it won't mess up the time. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:41, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

Flash File

Lol, E.L. Cool. I saw that they were looking for the flash file for Strong Bad is a Bad Guy, and I searched for it for about two solid minutes. When I came back with the link, guess who had already found it? Nice speed. — Lapper (talk) 16:10, 17 October 2005 (UTC)

And I searched for it for two solid secondes! (Just typed badguy.swf ...) Elcool (talk)(contribs) 16:12, 17 October 2005 (UTC)
I tried things like /sbadguy and /strongbadguy. I guess I got the idea from A Jorb Well Done was /cantsayjob. — Lapper (talk) 16:14, 17 October 2005 (UTC)

Babel

Hey, E. L. Cool. Considering I speak such a minute level of Hebrew I think I need your help. I would like the text in my he-1 babel box to say This user is able to contribute with a beginning level of Hebrew. And I'm not sure that's what it really says. Can you help me with that? — Lapper (talk) 03:05, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

Yes. The box realy say that.
משתמש זה (This user; Mishtamesh ze)
מסוגל לתרום (is able to contribute; mesugal litrom)
ברמה בסיסית (with a beginning level; berama bsisit)
של עברית. (of Hebrew.; shel Ivrit.)
But בסיסית (Bsisit) is more like the "basic". If you want to use "beginning" I would recommend using the word מתחילה (Matkhila) insted. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 08:06, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
Okay, cool. Thank's anyway! — Lapper (talk) 11:25, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
no probalo, Ms. America! Elcool (talk)(contribs) 11:30, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

Hebrew sigs

Since you know my username in hebrew, wanna add it to your page? TotalSpaceshipGirl3

Why not? but don't expect me to translate the Asian characters.. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 23:28, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

Thanks, E.L.! I'll use this sig for a while. :P - איש אוגיות ק Image:kookysig.gif (שיחה) (דברים שעשיתי)

Ok. Knock yourself out. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 16:24, 23 October 2005 (UTC)

Webcomics

EL, you said on your user page that you read 23 different webcomics. What are some of them? --אוקאלייליי (Ookelaylay)
