::::::Don't worry, it's not annoying. Doesn't everyone love seeing the yellow new message box? anyway, to get an image off homestarrunner, go to the part that you want to screenshot in a toon. Then, hold shift (or the Fn button on certain laptops) and press the Print Screen (or Prnt Scrn) button that's in the row right next to the F12 button. Doing this screenshots your whole computer screen, including the toon. From there, just go to MS Paint, right click, and press paste, and the image of what was onscreen at the time will be pasted. FRom there, crop the image, save it, and upload it. {{User:Dr._Clash/sig}} 13:37, 10 April 2007 (UTC)

Your recent contributions

The coveted Iron cup
Pure Genius! Cold-hot-fresh!

Hey Dr. Clash, just wanted to say that I've noticed you make a lot of good contributions recently (examples: the work on moving Eh! Steve to Eh! Steve! along with its links, and archiving the Weekly Fanstuff and Sketchbook entries from 2006). As a result, I hereby award you The Iron cup of Brunswick stew. From HRWiki:Barnstars,

This award, the first on HRWiki, is given to recognize good contributions and to let people know that their hard work is seen and appreciated. It was given to The Cheat by Strong Bad for his good work on New Boots.

Thanks for your hard work! Trey56 04:56, 30 January 2007 (UTC)

I second this! You are off to a way better start than I did. Plus, I would like to comment that your image uploads for The Decemberween Tree and Strong Badathlon (contest) are top notch! Great ideas! (Did you know I started both of those articles, too?) So, keep up the great work, and here's a nice cold glass of Suudsu. --TheYellowDart(t/c) 03:54, 21 February 2007 (UTC)

Reverting

Hi, Dr. Clash. Good work around the wiki. One pointer: when reverting edits, please explain why you've reverted. In this case, for example, 0rion needs to know why you reverted his/her edit. Thanks. Heimstern Läufer 21:51, 5 February 2007 (UTC)

Edit Summary

Hi there, Doc. Great work on fixing all those toon names and all the redirects that fallow. You have a good eye for that think, I noticed. Another thing I noticed was that you not always use an edit summary. The summary is an important tool that help other RC patrolers know what you've done without actually clicking the diff. Edit summaries are especially important on mass-edits, like redirect removing. If you make a summary like "removing redirect", "no redirect" or "fix link" people who patrol almost automatically skip those pages with their eyes and see the other edits so they don't have to click each one. If you have a hard time remembering to add an edit summary, there's an option in your preferences, under Editing, called "Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary". You are a good contributor and I hope you'll continue to be. Have fun, Elcool (talk)(contribs) 10:05, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

I use that profile reminder myself, it is handy. By the way, edit summaries are also really useful when viewing the history of a page's edits. If I'm looking for when a particular change was made, for example, the edit summaries really help to narrow it down. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 16:56, 11 February 2007 (UTC)

Coffee

Hey Dr. Clash — nice work on Coffee! Trey56 02:08, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, it was kinda bothering me that there was no page about coffee, so I just made it.Took a while, too :P Dr. Clash 02:10, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Yup, that kind of research—looking up appearances and finding reference links—is time-consuming. Trey56 02:12, 12 February 2007 (UTC)
Ooh, and lots of redirects from misspellings! I could never remember just how many "f"'s and how many "e"'s it is, though my choice of username pretty taught it to me fairly quickly. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 03:46, 13 February 2007 (UTC)

Image Copyright Tags

Heylo, Dr. Clash. Please make sure that you tag images with the right copyright tag when you upload them. You can choose a copyright notice from the "licensing" drop-down list during the upload process. For homestarrunner.com screenshots, "web-screenshot" is the appropriate one. If you forgot to tag images while uploading them, you can do it afterwards by editing the description and adding the {{web-screenshot}} template. Keep on trangling! Loafing 23:02, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Yeah, I was thinking about that when I say DorianGray tagging all my images. Now, edit summaries and image tagging, that's 2 things I need to remember :P Dr. Clash 23:04, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Yes :-) Loafing 23:05, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Committees

I'm already in recent changes patrol, but I'll probably join the welcoming comittee eventually, once I dispel my laziness and make a welcoming template. Dr. Clash 23:27, 22 February 2007 (UTC)
Okay. Sorry for accidentally putting this on your page. *blushes*. Sorry. Keep up the excellent edits. I love the Nobot page. :-) --TheYellowDart(t/c) 23:41, 22 February 2007 (UTC)

Thanks

Oh, hey thanks for aggring with me. Maybe we should be friends some day. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man

I need a little help

Oh hello. I was wondering on a history of a page, how do you write a comment something? User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man

When you go to edit a page, see where it says: "Your changes will be visible immediately. If you would like to test or practice editing..." etc, under that it has a box that says "summary". There, just type what your edit's all about, then submit the edit. The comment'll then show up in Recent Changes and the history of the page. Keep up the good work, Sam. Dr. Clash 21:03, 24 March 2007 (UTC)
Also, I hate to annoy you, but how do you find a new image that's not on the site? User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man
Um, I'm not sure what you mean, but to find any image, you have to find a link to it on some page. Could you try to clarify your question? Dr. Clash 01:18, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Or you could use the search. Note the checkboxes at at the bottom: Make sure (Main) is unchecked and Image is checked. Loafing 12:09, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Thank You very much

Overall, thanks for the award. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man

Hey Mr. Doc

You don't mind that I created The Dancin' Homestar Runner Musical Nobot do you? User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man

Guitar hero thing

Oh, i thought that he was just playing it on the game, i didn't realize that it was actually a PART of the game as http://www.hrwiki.org/index.php/Image:TrogdorGH2.jpg proves. DeFender1031 02:03, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

It's all cool. Everyone's made mistakes :P - Dr. Clash 02:07, 8 April 2007 (UTC)

Hey Doc

How do you get the source filename when uploading an image? User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man

What you do is save an image to the computer. The, you press "Browse" next to the source filename and find where you saved the picture. Click on the picture, press OK, fill in the summary, and click upload. Dr. Clash 22:34, 8 April 2007 (UTC)
Thanks!!! User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man
Also I really hate to anoy you but can I say the source filename is a wikipedia page if I want a wikipedia image? Have a great day, User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man , 7:31 (East Cost time), April 9 2007 (UTC)
Unfortunately, to upload a wikipedia image, you have to right click on the image, save it, and then upload it. I don't think you can upload straight from a URL. Dr. Clash 13:48, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
