Idea

You know, you asked about ideas for your User page. I peeked at your contributions and saw that you've made less than 100 edits to the main articles (which is not a bad thing in any way) but you've made over 250 edits to your user page, sig and other stuff. My idea is to keep it simple and don't spend too much time on it, saving time for what we're really here for, which is documenting the H*R cartoons. No no no. My intention was never to shame you. Just pointing out that, while there are a lot of users who NEVER make main namespace edits, you're not one of those. Frankly, I think we need more users who can do good main namespace editing and (yep, I'll say it) less of the HRWiki-is-MySpace type users. I hear ya. Most of my edits lately have been reverts and helpful talk posts on article talks and occassional user talks. It's slow. Hopefully tomorrow there'll be a new email and there'll be plenty to do. When I was new here, I'd just watch Recent Changes when a new toon came out to see the variety of activities that took place as a result. You might peek at the contributions list of some users you respect and see what they've been up to lately. It might give you some ideas.

Oh, and I'd like to clarify something that my previous post doesn't say well enough. I don't think there's anything wrong with a cool-looking user page (look at mine, for example) and with a small amount of chatter on user talk pages. But it's when a user is doing nothing or little but that, that's when I question why that user is here. You, though, do a lot of main namespace editing and that's why I don't count you among those users.

So don't read what I wrote as "I dislike users with flashy user pages and who talk on user talks" - rather, I question the relevance to this wiki of the actions of users who do nothing but that. I think you know the type of user I'm describing. Well, any chance I get to suggest a user get into more main namespace editing (and "all opinions are welcome" was an open door!) I'm going to use it.
