The "Photoshop Pen" you spoke of...

...is a Wacom tablet - either of the Intuos or Graphire line. I can't tell from the photo you posted in Heimstern's Talk Page. But I have a similar tablet, the Graphire 3. Is there a question I can answer for you on it? :) — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 04:58, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

Well..I blanked the

"System Report:
---
Everything is Fine. Nothing is ruined."

Part of this [[1]] image and thought we could put

"H*R Wiki:
---
The Wiki Online Homestar Runner Knowlage Database That Anyone Can Edit."

I thought we could use this as something on the site. Maybe a link on a website. The Whole Bottom part could be a link.
Or a Slightly different version of this. The Tablet (The Pen) Would make it look authentic. --Dacheatbot · Communicate 05:21, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

Uh... you've lost me. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 05:47, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Ah, gotcha - you just want to have someone handwrite the new message? I could try my hand at that... — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 05:49, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks A Great! --Dacheatbot · Communicate 05:52, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
How about this new hotness? — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 06:15, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

That's Great. I Really Apreesheate (I know that's the wrong spelling) You Doing this.
My pleasure! :) — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 06:24, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Where should we put it? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 06:27, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Well, I put it on my User Page. But as for it getting any sort of "official" use, I think that's up to the sysops. This image is probably bordering on Fanstuff, too. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 06:29, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

Belated welcome

Hey! You seem to be one of the Cool New Users who've popped up during my temporary time of reduced HRWikiage; if this were a few months ago, I would probably have noticed you within 12 hours of your joining, tops. Anyway, I just wanted to say that you do indeed rock, the more so for being 11, and you have awesome skills of coherent written self-expression (I deal on a daily basis with quite a few 11- and even 16- and 17-year-olds who aren't always so coherant in spoken communication!). —AbdiViklas 06:00, 10 March 2006

That means a lot coming from a new sysop! It is my honor to serve under to serve under a greaaat sysop --Dacheatbot · Communicate 06:05, 10 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks! Although, the way I read it, you're hardly serving under serving under anyone; sysops don't officially have any greater authority than other users; they just have additional tools. Not so much the strong arm of the law as the... handy bionic arm of SwissArmyMan? —AbdiViklas 06:18, 10 March 2006 (UTC)

Signature

Hey there Da Cheatbot, this is your friendly neighbourhood TBird. I like your new signature, it looks very spiffy and original. However, I have to inform you that your signature is also significantly larger than most, and is larger than our current standards. Hopefully you'll be able to find a way to trim it down a bit within a few days, either with different wording, perhaps <small> tags, or whatever else you come up with. Below is the current maximum for signature length, and your current signature to compare. I do hate to be the bearer of bad news, and I hope you won't hold this against me. ;) Thunderbird 02:16, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Yup, looks fine to me, thanks. Feel free to use that guide as you try different sigs. I personally find the green a bit hard to read, but it's up to you. Thanks again, Thunderbird 02:24, 15 March 2006 (UTC)

Nice welcome! It's really creative! The Cheat thingy was used on the Community Portal right? Also,

Absou-posi-loutly! Bluebry 22:55, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Oh yeah, and if "Welcome {{{1}}}" would basically say "Welcome Blueby!", you can replace {{{1}}} with {{PAGENAME}} so you don't have to type it in every time you welcome someone. See my welcome for reference. Bluebry 22:58, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Thanks! I think I might put in a image.... --Dacheatbot · Communicate 22:59, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
Wait...{{PAGENAME}} would say User talk:BlahBlah wouldn't it?
No, as I will now demonstrate. Dacheatbot. --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif 23:05, 19 March 2006 (UTC)

Welcome template fixes

Umm...why did you change my welcome? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 01:11, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Well, a few things needed to be fixed. First of all, whenever you welcome someone, it's important to use the "subst" command with the template. That way, you insert actual code instead of a link to your template. Also, your template had a {{{2}}} without a {{{1}}}. There are a couple of other tweaks you should probably make: You should change {{PAGENAME}} to {{{1}}} and change the {{{1}}} that I fixed back to {{{2}}}. Then, this is the code that you would use when you welcome someone: {{subst:User:Dacheatbot/welcome|{{subst:PAGENAME}}|~~~~~}}. — It's dot com 01:21, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Can we

Can you let us do the thing mentioned here for NAGLC? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 02:28, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Um, what exactly are you asking for? — It's dot com 02:54, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Look at The NAGLC wants you! --Dacheatbot · Communicate 02:56, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I can follow a link. So, assuming that I already did look at it, I'll say again: What exactly are you asking for? Be specific. — It's dot com 03:02, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
I believe Dacheatbot means the NAGLC fair thingy. Bluebry 03:02, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
"Fair thingy"? I'm sorry, but what is that supposed to mean? I can't give you a good answer if I'm not even sure what the question is. In fact, that whole section up there is confusing, so let's pretend it's not even there. Describe for me exactly what you are wanting to do and what actions, if any, you would need me or another admin to do. — It's dot com 03:14, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
[snippet of above conversation removed]

Thats the conversation were talking about. --Dacheatbot · Communicate 03:20, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

Dude, I have told you that I know which conversation you're talking about. There's a link to it at the top of this thread, and if that fails, I can just scroll up. I'm trying to tell you that reading the conversation doesn't give me the foggiest clue of what you want or need. Please try and put it in new, more different words here below. — It's dot com 03:26, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Okay, we (Me and Bluebry) are the Heads of National Assosiation of Geeks with Lab Coats. We were thinking of putting Trivia on the IRC at a certain time. We need your permission to do so. Whoever wins, gets the NAGLC Barnstar. GOT IT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! --Dacheatbot · Communicate 03:35, 20 March 2006 (UTC)
Might I suggest that yelling and asking permission don't really go hand in hand. I'm not trying to talk down to you or be difficult; I have read the above conversation and am genuinely unsure of what you're asking. If you're wanting to chat in the IRC channel, then go ahead, but we can't put up any notices here for anything unofficial, otherwise everyone would want us to put up notices for them. — It's dot com 04:12, 20 March 2006 (UTC)

What is a bot? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 00:54, 21 March 2006 (UTC)
A bot is sort of a computer program created for the purpose of doing repetitive and automated tasks at wikis. See GrapeNuts for an example of a bot. Has Matt? (talk) 01:01, 21 March 2006 (UTC)

Store clean-up

Hey, thanks for helping with the clean-up of Store. I just remembered that I had uploaded some images awhile ago and forgot about them. The images are of the same items that you just uploaded, just cropped a bit more. I hope you don't mind if I've replaced yours with mine. The only thing left in accesories to do is the messenger bags, which I haven't uploaded images for, and you are welcome to do. Thanks! —FireBird|Talk 17:48, 24 March 2006 (UTC)

Personal image problem

Hey, Dacheatbot. In accordance with HRWiki:Personal images, you are only allowed 2 large personal images to use on your userpage. Currently, you have uploaded 4. They are:

Thank you for your co-operation in this matter. – The Chort 15:02, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Images you are using for welcomes or awards count toward your total. If you want to keep those, you'll have to remove the clarinet and cutout from your user page.
I don't think that the note should count as a personal image. Me and KeiferSkunk made that image for HRwiki use. The NAGLC barnstar should count as mine as much as any member on NAGLC. --Dacheatbot · Communicate 16:43, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Sorry, but that's incorrect. KieferSkunk made you that fanstuff for your personal use, and custom barnstars count toward the image total of the person who uploaded it. — It's dot com 16:46, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Can you take down the Clarinet and Cut-out Dot com? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 16:51, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Wait no! --Dacheatbot · Communicate 16:55, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
No need to panic. I'm not going to be editing your user page. But you should. Once you do, all you need to do is change the "personal-image" template on each image page to "personal-image-abandoned". Then, if you want to reclaim the images in the future you can. The reason for our policy is that we really don't want too many personal images or custom barnstars, as they tend to detract from the true purpose of this project. Thanks for your understanding. — It's dot com 16:56, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Hey there Dacheatbot, I'd be happy to take one of these images as my own personal image but it still be yours. DBK! 16:57, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Can you take the Cut-out image? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 17:01, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
I recommend that the one he takes be the NAGLC image, since it's a more general-use image. — It's dot com 17:02, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
I'll take whatever one you want me to, but it still leaves one left over. DBK! 17:03, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Can I keep a Image on The Fanstuff Wiki and use it here? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 17:05, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
No, but you can keep it on your own server. Here's what I think you should do, though: Lose the whole clarinet userbox. It's interesting info (I myself play French horn and most brass instruments), but it really doesn't have anything to do with H*R. Then, turn the NAGLC image over to one of the other NAGLC members who will keep it safe for you, in this case DBK. That would bring you under the limit, and you'd be following the spirit of the rule, which is that any images that are on your user page and nowhere else should be attributed to you. — It's dot com 17:08, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Sorry for the threadjack, but just wanted to comment - wow, all the musicians here! Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 17:12, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
Why not use this image for NAGLC? DBK! 17:14, 25 March 2006 (UTC)
That would also be a workable solution for that image, but it doesn't address my post above concerning the fanstuff error message and the clarinet, namely that images that are only on your user page should be marked as yours and not someone else's. — It's dot com 17:17, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

NAGLC IRC

Hey, you have the NAGLC Trivia on IRC. May I host a "Things you didn't know about other users" thing on IRC for the NAGLC barnstar? You konw, like, we ask other users for a fact, and, they say one or don't participate, or, something like that. Also, the fact asking and answering must be aone by email, but we ask them "Would you like to give a fact for the IRC thing? If yes, give it by email. If no, say no here". Just an idea. Wait, lemme give an example.

:EXAMPLE: Would you like to give a fact for the "Things you didn't know about other users" on IRC? If yes, give the fact in an email. If no, say no here. And the person would be all like:
Yes, and I would also like to be your girlfriend based solely on your awesome boots. I have sent you the email. {{User's sig}} 03:47, 28 March 2006 (UTC)

Or, they'd be like:

::No. {{User's sig}} 03:47, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
I mean, that's an example. Bluebry 03:47, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Personaly I would like it if you did a different barnstar but I would like to be part of your thing. --Dacheatbot · Communicate 04:34, 28 March 2006 (UTC)
Okay. Maybe not a barnstar, though. Maybe like an, e-plaque. Bluebry 01:09, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Can I be your first person? I've got a great fact. Can I get your email? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 01:19, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Yep. Click here. Also, make sure it's a fact that you've never said on the wiki, 'cause that can be traced back. Thanks! Also, it will be held at a random time this weekend. Bluebry 01:23, 29 March 2006 (UTC)
Actually, I'm now doing it on my user page. Bluebry 02:24, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
Did you get my email? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 02:31, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
