hey man

It's nice to see you around the wiki. From the looks of things, you've made more edits in your first day than I have in my entire wiki career. Did you notice the lack of your email getting answered yesterday? That's called reality. Also notice the lack of a Monday update. I was two for two. Well, at least we got one this week. —Zelinda 19:58, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

It's so nice to have someone welcoming me here! Thanks a lot! You rock! Hopefully I'll make some good edits err... contributions. Contributions sounds so much better eh? And yes, your right, no email answered for me. But I'm going to Keep Try!--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 09:53, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Signature

I noticed you're signing as Omega_Man, rather than Bleed0range... One of the policies about signatures is that they match (or at least, resemble) your username. Please, either change your sig to something like Bleed0range, or you can request that your username be changed to Omega_Man. --phlip TC 14:13, 26 July 2006 (UTC)

Yeah, sorry. Wasn't aware of that rule. I just put it in my "nickname" category because I figured the nickname could be whatever I wanted it to be. I changed it.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 09:52, 27 July 2006 (UTC)

Nothing goes with that color (except national championship trophies)

Robert, when I first saw your username, I just knew you were a UT student and/or fan. Welcome to the wiki! Glad to see you're no longer the lurker. Well, talk atcha later. In closing, go Tech! Beat the Longhorns! — It's dot com 02:11, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Bah! Your right, I am indeed a Longhorn fan! lol. Me and my brother are big fans but neither of us attend UT. I go to Lamar University, nearer to home. Although I've been thinking of transferring myself over there. Thanks for the warm welcome, you and everybody else. It's been a real treat how nice everyone's been so far. A lot of people don't catch on to the meaning of Bleeding Orange. Some people think I'm talking about the fruit. Those crazys.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 04:05, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Although there is a fruit called the blood orange... --DorianGray

Reach Out

Hey man. At the bottom of your page, where it says "Reach Out and Touch Me" a reference to a song with a similar title? Because there's a song with a similar title. SaltyTalk! 04:44, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Nah. I was just referencing the common term to "Reach Out and Touch Someone," you know... like making a telephone call? It's the link to my How to Contact me section. I know the song your talking about, but I wasn't specifically referencing it.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 05:08, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Oh. I thought you woulda been, cuz like, everything you wrote about yourself on your page is pretty much me. (Lives in TX, UT Fan, Brown hair/eyes, 5'9", 5470 Johnson St....) Wait, which song? I wanna make sure we're talking about the same song. SaltyTalk! 05:13, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
I thought you were talking about some 80's song. I don't remember who did it. But I remember there being a line in it about Reaching Out and Touching... something like that. Is that what you were talking about?--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 05:24, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Reach Out and Touch Faith by Depeche Mode. SaltyTalk! 05:29, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
That's it. I was thinking of Depeche Mode. Weird.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 05:30, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Let's not forget Diana Ross's big hit "Reach Out And Touch Somebody's Hand" either. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 06:14, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Release Dates

Hey man, how do you know all those release dates? Are you a Time Lord? ;-)  Loafing 21:15, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

I'm searching the HRWIKI update on when the site was updated by going to the year of the updates and searching for a keyword with the Find feature thing in FireFox. Ya know, CTRL+F--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 21:22, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Aaaah, I get it. Nice :-)  Loafing 22:03, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

The DVD Easter Eggs

Hey guys, can someone tell me HOW you access them? I have never figured out how to do anything other than find the audio commentary. Which is easy, you just switch to audio 2 or whatever. HOWEVER. Stuff like the LIVE Sbemails and the How we did it thing for the Peasant's Quest Movie Trailer... I never figured those things out! I play the DVDS on my PS2, is that the problem? Can somebody please tell me. And how come I can't find it on the Wiki? I thought somewhere on here it would explain how but I haven't found it yet.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 23:06, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

You haven't been on AIM in forever (a full two days!), so I'll tell you here. Press right until you see Strong Bad's head (on the Strong Bad Email DVDs) or stars (Everything Else) and then press enter. When I first got my DVDs, it took me awhile to figure it out and I had the same problem trying to find it on the wiki. Someone should make that clearer... someone who's not me. By the way, your sig is looking prooty awesome. —Zelinda 03:35, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
Ha, thanks a lot, I really appreciate it. I have been on AIM actually, just hidden. I usually keep myself invisible. lol. You should just try messaging me sometime. (Although I'm not ALWAYS invisible, just most of the time). Oh, and thanks a lot for the compliment on the sig. I tried to make it cool. I was impressed with the fact that I figured out how to do it without having to read about it in help or something like that.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 05:11, 2 August 2006 (UTC)

Featured articles

Hey, Bleedorange, I really appreciate your eagerness to help out with featured articles. But I need to ask you not to make them so far in advance. The reason is that the decision of what articles to feature is based on community consensus, and therefore we need to wait and give various members of the community time to weigh in. Thanks so much for your understanding. Heimstern Läufer 21:54, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Well I asked Joey Day on AIM if three people would be enough and if it was okay to make them that far in advance and he said to go for it.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 22:01, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
Hmm, that's interesting. I know that those of us who are regularly active in choosing FAs would really prefer not to have them made that far ahead, especially in the absence of an overwhelming consensus (with a few exceptions, such as for the featuring of a main character every month, which is pretty standard for this year). I think Joey would understand this (and I'd be glad to discuss this with him in any case). Heimstern Läufer 22:20, 18 October 2006 (UTC)

Moving pages

So you know for next time, the preferred way to move pages is with the "move" tab at the top of the page. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 05:40, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Sorry 'bout that. I was talking to him on AIM on how to create a User Page, but he put it under the wrong name. I really hadn't noticed the "move" tab until you pointed it out.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 06:06, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Userpage Style

Hey — I like the changes you made to your user page, especially the addition of Image:Hrboblink.gif. Looks great! Trey56 06:00, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

Thanks a ton! I really appreciate it! I didn't start out to make a big change to the page (been lazy lately) but once I have an idea I wind up taking an hour or so to make it how I want. lol. There's a link to a song I wrote on my page. I'm pretty proud of it (tho I am not the best singer). You should give it a listen. --Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 06:07, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
No problem. Hey, just so you know, when you click on the link to listen to the song, you get a message from Angelfire saying:
Angelfire does not allow direct linking from offsite, non-Angelfire pages, to files hosted on Angelfire. This practice of 'remote linking' reduces our ability to serve out the homepages of our members quickly and efficiently.
Of course, one can circumvent this by typing the URL into the address bar (maybe there's another way too). Also, one more thing. When you have an external link, you only need one set of square brackets: [http://www.url.com displayed text].
Oh yeah, I listened to the song — pretty good! How long have you been playing guitar? Trey56 06:18, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
It might surprise you to know, I've only played Guitar for about a year seriously, though I've "kind of" known how to play for three. I've played piano for ten years though, most of my songs I've written are on Piano. I don't know why, but offsite links to Angelfire work on my computer AND my friend's. I guess because quicktime plays that file for me and him and it just goes to the player. *shrug* I'll reupload it somewhere else later and add another song for you guys to hear! --Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 06:21, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
It may work for you if it is cached. It did not work for me, and it "should" not work at all UNLESS the file is already cached in the browser. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 06:59, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
Hmm, well... If I clear my cache and visit the page it shouldn't work right? It still works. Unless I am not understanding the concept of cache. I know on my OLD computer, when I tried linking to stuff on Angelfire, it wouldn't work.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 07:01, 21 October 2006 (UTC)

This new Talk Page is Slightly Different but Completely AWESOME!!

So. I thought things would be easier if I put the TOC on here. I changed the look a little too. Tell me what you think. OH. And now there's no reason for there not to be tons and tons and tons of conversation and comments to be taking place here all the times! So uh, get to it. The conversating and uhh... the times.... yeah.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 01:12, 23 October 2006 (UTC)

Subtitles

Hey Bleed0range, I've been meaning to say this for a while now: Good jorb with the subtitles :-) Loafing 10:36, 26 October 2006 (UTC)

Hey, thanks a lot! I try... I try... --Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 00:03, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Edit Summary

Hi, man. Very nice contribs you got there. You're not new, so I'm not going to use a template for you, but here's a little tip: Use the edit summary. Just to throw it some numbers - From the about 200 edits you did this month, only about 50 had a summary. If you want, you can check a box in the preference that won't let you save a page without it. Edit summaries are important for the detection of bad edits, and easier patrolling (A thing I know that you do by that toon you made. Very funny ^^). Elcool (talk)(contribs) 10:07, 27 October 2006 (UTC)

Bad edits? But... *looks around* ... I don't make those. haha. Sure, sorry about that. I uh, guess I didn't notice.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 18:31, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
My bad. Forgot an edit summary on that last one. haha.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 18:33, 27 October 2006 (UTC)
Hi, no probalo. That's one of those little things that help to make a good user, to a great user. Keep on tranglin'! Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:26, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
That's weird. The last edit I made, I forgot to put a summary in and it didn't prompt me to do it. So I checked preferences to make sure that "prompt me" box was still checked and it is. Hmmmmmm...--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 17:31, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
The "force edit summary" thing doesn't happen when you're editing your own user or talk page. --phlip TC 17:40, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Ohhhh. Ok. Gotcha. Now I'm all informed.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 17:41, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Flash

Great Flash, bud. Simultaneously uproriously funny and depressingly accurate. Plus, I'm immortalized! I have to revert you somewhere now, so you can say "ker-maak... ker-mik... ker-mahk...". Must wiki more! Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 06:05, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Haha. Glad you liked it! Just don't revert my last one. That was a good one. ;) And it's brand new so if you reverted it, you'd just be reverting it back to nothing. And that's not productive at all!--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 06:08, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Just wondering, is that "To move pages you use the move button" a real thing you wrote? And did Qermaq ever reverted you like that, or you just choose his name in random? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:24, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Oh :P Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:48, 28 October 2006 (UTC)
Well, obviously, the Moving Pages was a stab at myself (..."idiot") lol. Qermaq, as far as I know, never reverted anything... I just chose his name at random.--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 17:28, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

BTW - your .swf links don't work, due to your host (Angelfire - bleah). If you frame them in an HTML page, then link to that, they'll work. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 21:38, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Grrr. I really hate Angelfire. They didn't used to do that. I've had that angelfire account since 2000 though, so I kind of just keep using it. The links actually will work for me, for whatever reason. It appears that they only don't work for SOME people and do work for others. I'll put them in an HTML file later. Thanks for letting me know. If I ever start up a real website (which I've thought about doing multiple times), I'll get a good host instead of these freebies. But note my clever usage of <noembed><xmp></noembed></xmp>. :)--Image:Stinkwing.gif »Bleed0range« 22:27, 28 October 2006 (UTC)

Decemberween logo

I'm not sure if you're around, but if you get this, I have a question for you. After talking with a few people, it sounds like there's interest in using a version of the Decemberween logo you proposed for a few days around the 25th. If you have time, do you feel like doing a tweaked version with an open-mouthed Homestar to match the new regular logo? (perhaps a static version as well as an animated version) If you don't have time, that's cool though. Trey56 02:33, 21 December 2006 (UTC)
