I started watching Homestar Runner in 2004, when my sister showed me Teen Girl Squad issues 1-5. The first toon I watched to focus on major Homestar characters was Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon. Not counting Teen Girl Squad issue 1 or Sick Day, the first Strong Bad Email I watched in its entirety was theme park, and that was in mid-2006. My favorite toons include Bug in Mouth Disease, Strongest Man in the World, and Experimental Film. I currently rank the Homestar characters, from best to worst, in a way similar to this:

  • Bubs — He's done too many hilarious things for me to name, so for now I'll just mention "Come back, chocolates! I didn't mean what I said!," "Coach Z, you jerk!," and Don't eat my chicken wings!
  • Homestar Runner — I love how clueless he can be.
  • [[Strong Bad} — I see how he got to host the fan mail show, but I think sometimes he feels too normal for a cartoon like this.
  • The Cheat — Can be both scheming and adorable.
  • Strong Sad — He didn't reach this high until I watched Experimental Film.
  • Pom Pom — Fell one short of the top 5 because he doesn't get enough appearances.
  • Coach Z — He used to be my least favorite because it felt like all his gags revolved around his accent, but his other gags are pretty cute.
  • Homsar — I like him for a crazy clone.
  • Marzipan — I especially like her when she acts crazy and/or tough.
  • Strong Mad — He's pretty hilarious a few times, and they got me to pity him in that one scene from Where's the Cheat?, but it feels like all his gags involve screaming; and this cartoon already had a dumb jock.
  • The King of Town — The only times I truly liked him were when he wallowed in self-pity like when he tried to check his e-mail.
  • The Poopsmith — I can't think of anything interesting he's done. At all. The closest thing I can think of was when he poked The Paper with his shovel, but I don't think that should count 'cause they already shattered the fourth wall out of existence. I feel his mere prescence dumbs down the humor.
