The Big Lebowski is a 1998 comedy film written and directed by Joel and Ethan Coen starring Jeff Bridges and John Goodman. The movie has become a cult classic for its originality and direction, eccentric characters, and convoluted plot. The Brothers Chaps sometimes slip references to this movie in Homestar Runner cartoons.

- Fan Stuff — Two of the image captions mention "The Big Dabrowski".
- Main Page 4 — The 4-pointed stars on the back wall are similar to the stars seen in The Dude's bowling alley in The Big Lebowski.
- Halloween Fairstival (DVD commentary) — Trying to remember the name "Carl Spackler", Homestar's costume, Matt remarks "I want to keep saying Walter Sobchak, and that's not right at all."
- Halloween Potion-ma-jig — Pom Pom dresses up as Walter Sobchak. This toon also references other aspects of the movie, such as the severed toe, Sobchak's lines "You're entering a world of pain" and "DONNY, YOU'RE OUT OF YOUR ELEMENT!", and a moment where Walter inappropriately draws a gun.
- Marzipan's Answering Machine Version 13.2 — Strong Bad says "Am I wrong? Somebody, am I wrong?", which was a line said by Sobchak.
- Email cliffhangers — The bloody comma key on the ransom note that Strong Bad calls a "little toe" refers to the movie, when a ransom note appears for a kidnapped woman along with a severed little toe.
- Jibblies 2 — Strong Mad is looking into the "TIME Man Of The Year" mirror as seen in the movie when The Dude first meets Mr. Lebowski.
- Email pet show — The summary in New Stuff says that "The Cheat has freaking papers, Dude". Walter says the same thing (albeit, more explicitly) to The Dude when explaining why his ex-wife could not take her dog with her on vacation.
- Dangeresque 3: The Criminal Projective — Dangeresque says that the paintings in the Smoky Office "really tie the room together", a phrase The Dude uses to describe his beloved rug.
