Taxes are commonly regarded as a tedious duty, and filing them can be a complicated task. Surprisingly, Strong Mad seems to be skilled at the preparation of tax forms.

- Email studying (Easter egg) — According to a review on Bookazon.com, one of the chapters of "This Book is Better Than 1st, 2nd, and Quite Possibly Even 3rd Base" by Lem Sportsinterviews is called "I had to pay taxes AGAIN this year!".
- A Decemberween Pageant — Archibald informs Dr. Christmas, the Angel, and the King of Town that a moon computer can help them, "the kind planets use to do their taxes".
- Arcade Game — When Homestar Runner walks in on them, Strong Bad, Strong Mad, and The Cheat tell him that they are definitely not playing the TROGDOR! game; they are doing The Cheat's taxes. Homestar says that's boring and leaves, only to return asking if the three will do his taxes next.
- Email bedtime story — Strong Bad's interpretation of the sender's town name is "Killer Taxes".
- Homestar Ruiner — The King of Town threatens to tax and levy tariffs on Strong Bad for tricking him into a hole.

- As foreshadowed in Homestar Ruiner, the plot is about Strong Bad gaining revenge on the Of Town for taxing his emails. The way to get the Of Town back into the castle, however, is to put another tax out, this one on Creamy Ding Snack Cakes.
- If Strong Bad inspects the papier-mâché skulls in Country, Strong Mad will reveal he has been helping Marzipan with her taxes.
- Baddest of the Bands — Strong Bad says he will have to tax the people of Strong Badia to pay off the damages to the fence. The Tire, as the only citizen, gets an immediate apology from Strong Bad.
- Fish Eye Lens — Strong Bad and Coach Z make tax papers look cool by filming them through a fisheye lens.
- Mario Paint Thursdays Compilation — Strong Bad says that one of the reasons he's so great is because he files his taxes jointly with The Cheat.
- SBCG4AP Playthrough — The excuse Strong Bad gives for not doing any Teen Girl Squad voices is because it would shred his throat like an illegal tax document.
