What Is Valor?

Why was my fun-fact about the valor deleted? The CGNU song "asks" 'What is valor?'. I didn't know that either so I looked in Wikipedia. This is a true fun-fact! E.L. Cool 14:03, 9 May 2005 (UTC)

Baba O'Riley

Probably not appropriate for the article, but it is cool: At the end of the email, if you scrub your mouse over the first four notes for a while, and then the second four notes for a while, it kind of sounds like the intro to "Baba O'Riley" by the Who.--70.106.199.215 01:38, 8 Sep 2005 (UTC)

The Chort

There is a remark that states: "This is the first time Coach Z says The Cheat instead of The Chort." While true, I beleive this statement is not entirely accurate of what he is saying. The actual quote from the transcript reads: "Get yer head in the game, The Chort! The Cheat is wide open!"

I beleive it's safe to assume that Coach Z is still calling The Cheat "The Chort", but does indeed say "The Cheat" correctly. I beleive he may either be referring to a "team member" of the opposing team or, (very unlikely) the Cheat himself as a member of his own team (and thus pronouncing his name right). I think the remark should read: "This is the first time we hear Coach Z say The Cheat correctly. However, he is likely not referring to The Cheat himself."

Mario

The tab key can be used to play a truncated version of the Super Mario Brothers theme. It requries a sense of timeing but the theme is farily reecognizeble. Can anybody reproduce this, I'm not very musical but have heard the Mario theme endlessly.

The tab order in Flash is automatically generated – if the tab order does something funny it's not TBC's doing. I can't reproduce it here, but it could be that my version of Flash gives the notes a different tab order than yours does... or maybe I'm not getting the timing right or something... Aight, I dont know anything about programing flash and I did notice that those note combos appear in many tunes. It Just seems too perfect though, well I guess I'll just enjoy it then.

Homestar's knees tech

Could Homestar's Knees Tech be reffering to Tis True, Pom Pom, Tis True, when The Cheat hit Homestar on the knees with a baseball bat in order to help Strong Bad win a race? Andrew911 18:57, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

While I think that is possible, I think it's more probable that it is just a general reference to injuring Homestar.

Wasn't Homestar hit in the head in Tis True, Pom Pom, Tis True? (I don't have it in front of me now, though, so I don't know, but that'd make more sense...) --Jay (Talk) 21:46, 13 October 2006 (UTC)

Not sure, I don't have it, but my friend does, so I haven't seen it in a while, but according to the Tis True, Pom Pom, Tis True page he slides head first into the tree, so I'm not sure if getting hit in the head or flying headfirst into the tree caused his injury. However I think it would be easier for him to fly through the air if he was getting hit on the knees then on the head. Andrew911 01:35, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

IIRC (been a while since I saw the toon and I don't have it with me atm), The Cheat smacks him in the face with the bat, he goes flying backwards, hits the ground, skids a few yards, then slams into a tree. No knees involved. :) - Saturn 01:51, 14 October 2006 (UTC)

a little email never hurt nobody

is there a page already of those harmed in the making of strong mad emails? cause sb says that a little email never hurt nobody, except maybe the Cheat, while there have actually been many many injuries and several deaths during emails. so that should be in a fun fact. csours 05:28, 3 January 2007 (UTC)

Trogdor song

I removed this fact because it wasn't directly relevant to the article, but I thought it was a cool tidbit, so here it is:

The notes in the Fight Song can be played in a slightly different order, to play the Main Melody for Trogdor. The notes are D D A# D D G D D A# D G D F G

Dance

Homestar's Dumple dance appears to be the same as that broken gif, and the cheatza party thing

Notes/Key remark

"Proper musical notation practice would dictate, however, that "A#" (A-sharp) be written as "Bb" (B-flat), since the song is in the key of F Major, which has one flat and no sharps."

Except that Strong Bad has written this in what sounds like BASIC, so the appropriate notation would be B-. Older versions of BASIC, if my memory serves me well, didn't have flats (since A# == B- as far as the computer is concerned). --StarLion 18:56, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Except that Strong Bad didn't write it in anything, and I doubt TBC wrote it in BASIC. Regardless, they have complete control over how it appears on the Compy's screen, and should have made it read "Bb". — It's dot com 17:26, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Sharps and flats

So, if the A# rather than Bb is actual speculation, why would guys who are so obviously musically intelligent use A# here? It has to be a reference to many notation programs which, by my personal experience, simply called every black key a sharp. The presence of A# here is indeed notable, but the question apparently now is why. Is it a goof? Is it a reference? Let's share some knowledge here. - Qermaq - (^T/C)  05:39, 9 March 2008 (UTC)

Real Fruit Smoothies

I was watching a whole bunch of emails today and noticed that there are multiple references to "Real Fruit Smooties" (once in this email and another in Alternate Universe to name two) Just a thought but I think it's noteworthy. User:Didymuswillow

A quick search of the wiki shows that those are really the only two references to Real Fruit Smoothies, if there were more I might suggest a page devoted to them, but probably not at this point
