::::::Regardless of whether the other instances were supposed to be magic tricks by the characters, they still are all instances of a character appearing twice in the same frame that cannot easily be explained.-- 22:54, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

The outtake ("And I'm like, 'You just jingled a bunch of jangle in my face and called it magic!'") could be a reference to the lyric "Can you hear the jingle jangle sound" from the song "Money By the Pound", which is from the Disney movie "Pete's Dragon". Though this might be a coincidence. --D-Boy Wheeler

:"Jingle jangle" is a pretty common onomatopoeia... 15:01, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

: It could just as easily be a reference to the Bee Gees' "Jingle Jangle," Hot Hot Heat's "Jingle Jangle," the Archies' "Jingle Jangle," Gene Autry's "Jingle Jangle Jingle," Bobby Darin's "Jingle Jangle Jungle," the phrase "jingle jangle morning" in Dylan's "Mr. Tambourine Man," the CNN.com article "The jingle-jangle daylight of the Byrds"...

Just a thought here, but could S.S.'s line about il-l-l-l-lusions be a reference to when Strong Bad says "La-la-la-la-la-la" several times in retirement? They sound very similar to me...

There is a goof in the article as "When Strong Bad is displaying the types of magic, what he describes about them is on the Lappy, however no typing noise is heard." Hasn't this happened in numerous SBEmails (video games is an example)? Why is it mentioned here and no where else? I think we're supposed to assume that he's typing all the things he narrates while in his imagination anyway. 14:23, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

Could DeFender come in here and comment on removing the David Blaine reference?  I can understand if "Vertigo" is too specific, but Blaine himself was up there before I edited it (and, let's face it, he's the patron saint of doing stupid stuff to oneself.) -- TJDevil02

:Sure. There are plenty of endurance artists other than blaine. I would be comfortable with a reword saying that it's a parody of endurace artists such as blaine. 20:22, 2 September 2008 (UTC)

I think Coach Z's like "Dark Fungus From Downungus" is a reference to Outback Steakhouse's famous dessert "Chocolate Thunder From Down Under" Pgj1997 00:52, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

-
:"Down Under" is a nickname for Australia and New Zealand.  I mention this only since TBC used a location-based joke for Coach Z's easter egg.  So no.  No Outback Steakhouse reference here since "X from Down Under" predates Outback Steakhouse.  — Ngamer01 16:53, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

::It's specifically a play on the phrase "Thunder from Down Under", which seems too ubiquitous to pin to one source. -132.183.4.6 23:15, 26 April 2011 (UTC)
