:::::::No, I think that the first statement seems about right. Maybe SS is the youngest (main) character (Appart from The Cheat, maybe), and so that's why SB talked to him? I reckon that with all this evidence, the age ranges may be true. Perhaps it could be written somewhere as "It is suggested that..."? You know, like the left-hand, right-hand, and ambidextrous info. :::::::Yeah, I agree that TBC chose Strong Sad because he is the only character where we know his relative age is young. From the original book and other times, Homestar (though childish) is the same age as SB, Strong Mad is older than Strong Bad, and Coach Z may or may not be older than other characters, as he "coaches" them sometimes. You can go on and on, but Strong Sad is the character that we know is younger than most of the others or all of the others. (The Cheat can't be used, because he's Strong Bad's "pet," and helped with the surgery, so is already there in the cartoon.)

Actually, Yoplait sells their Yoplait tubes, as well as Go-Gurt in the USA. There are also other companies that have yogurt tubes (I think dannon does).

::::::::Yes. This is just exaggerating on how old Strong Sad says his Great Grandma is. Abraham Lincoln is well known, and so is the Depression. They are each from a long time ago, so it is just making fun of old people's stories.

::::::::I've got my big old Webster's dictionary out, and one of the definitions of "get" is "to cause to come or go" or "to cause to be in a certain position or condition". So, with this definition, saying "the Depression got Abraham Lincoln naked" would grammatically be correct. I guess "fought" would be grammatically correct too, but to me, it doesn't make as much sense, as the Depression is not a millitary or some other type of force that usually fights. I still keep hearing fought, though. {{User:Has Matt?/sig}} 01:04, 29 January 2007 (UTC)

Just for your reference, (I don't know if this works on Mac. keyboards, but I know it is on Windows) if you press the "Print Screen" button (around the upper right of your keyboard usually), it takes a screen shot. Then, you can select paste on an image editor or anything really, and the image will be pasted, then you can edit it. Just so you know, if you have this stuff...

''Maniac Mansion'' is an awesome game, but the alarm from the NES version is very different. So, I've removed the fact:

-

*Strong Bad's "alarm" sound is an imitation of the alarm heard in the NES version of [[Wikipedia:Maniac Mansion|Maniac Mansion]] when you turn on the water valve.

Perhaps this is true for the PC version of the game, but I've never played that version. If somebody knows more about this, feel free to revise the fact and add it back into the article. {{User:Trey56/sig}} 22:59, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Do people outside of the US refer to them as "electrical outlets" or "electrical sockets" or something like that? That way we all know that it refers to the electrical term, and if it is used in other places, it'd be better.

== Talking Heads...? ==

I was wondering if Strong Bad's opening line was a reference to anything. It sounded familiar, and just now I remembered the rhythm from the Talking Heads song "Drugs" (from Fear Of Music). It's a little different, but the "Boom, tick. Tick-a-tick-a-tick" feel is still familiar.

-

-
Here's the Amazon sample for a comparison (you hear a bit of the rhythm I described):

-
[http://www.amazon.com/gp/music/wma-pop-up/B000002KNY001011/ref=mu_sam_wma_001_011/102-3004439-5965767]

-

-
What do you think? It struck me a little. I don't insist on it being a reference, but Talking Heads were around in the late 70's and the 80's, and TBC had Strong Sad dress as David Byrne before, so I wonder if they would pay homage?

Isn't Marzipan's idea a reference to Feng Shui, some sort of art/science that deals with placing stuff in such a way as to channel energy well? This is my presumption, but I'm too lazy to research it, so maybe someone else will. Cheers! [[User:Telamon|-Telamon]] 08:13, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

== Seizures ==

Wouldn't The Cheat's colorful and fast paced movie thing and Strong Bad's, "I don't know whether to throw up or have a seizure." line be a referance to the Japanese episode of Pokemon, which had colorful and fast moving scenes, that gave those kids seizures and threw up? == Crustily Guarded Monks. ==

-

-
When this email first came out, my immediate reaction to the "Crustily guarded bread" quip was an old show I used to watch on Public TV, featuring a monk who baked bread. At the time, I couldn't find any direct references to the show, but now know that he has written numerous books on baking and spirituality as well. His name is Father Dominic Garramome, and the name of the show was Breaking Bread with Father Dominic. Several of his books are listed on Amazon.com.

-

-
Anyway, I felt this possible reference had much more weight behind it than the reference to the Trappist monks of Genesee. However, both the Trappists and Father Dominic are known for their breads, and if it were up to me, both would be included at the very least as possible references.

-

-
So, what say you, Wiki community: should Father Dominic and/or the Trappists monks of Genesee be included as possible references?
