::Hm, yeah, I think I can see how that would work.  The shaking hand would have to be the right hand for that to work, so it only makes sense of Sweden is looking away fom the "camera" and you're seeing the underside of the left hand.  You can kind of tell that's what hey're trying to do, as the right hand of the Strongbadia flag come from behind it, while the right hand of Sweeden comes from in front.  Opposite for the left hands.  Maybe screwy perspective, but yeah.. I could see that it might not quite qualify as a goof. It just looks a bit off at first glance.  [[User:HeWhoYerfs|HeWhoYerfs]] 12:58, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

It's not necessary to include speculation, but I'd strongly suggest changing "not a common" to "not an actual". A quick search in the [http://www.birthday.se/sok/?f=Viklas census], [http://personer.eniro.se/query?what=wp&lang=&ax=&search_word=Viklas&geo_area= phone book] or [http://www.scb.se/Pages/NameSearch.aspx?id=259432 official government statistics] prove beyond doubt that there's not a single person in Sweden bearing the name, the closest being a guy with "Wichlas" as his surname. [edit] Closed STUFF

These were on the STUFF page and declined. If you wish to contest these, leave a note here, but don't allow it to be confused with any of the original votes.

[edit] Monty Python and the Holy Subtitles (Declined)

The pseudo-Swedish subtitles are very (too?) similar to the opening credits of Monty Python's Holy Grail.

  • Decline There is a very key difference between them. In Monty Python, the subtitles are meant to look like they're in a foreign language when they're not. In little questions, they are meant to look English, translating pseudo-English being spoken to a Swede. That's not close enough for me. --Jay 05:17, 14 Mar 2005 (MST)

  • Decline. Entirely different subtitle gags - they just happen to share a common language. Also, the Holy Grail subtitles are not accompanied by the original audio that the subtitles are translating (I *know* there isn't an original audio track - I'm making a point here). And one more thing, the subtitles in 'little questions' are in English, not even QUASI-psuedo-Swedish. --TheEggman 23:03, 14 Mar 2005 (MST)

[edit] Who's checkin' that E-Mail?

It sounds to me like in his little pre-email (prE-Mail?) song that he's saying "All the ladies want to know, a-who's checkin' that E-mail (beat) with Strong Bad?" I'm kinda deaf, so I may be wrong on this. Can someone else see if they hear the same thing?

I don't, but I'll remember to say "prE-Mail" again. I like that. —BazookaJoe 04:11, 1 January 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Sweden

And is it just me, or does the Flag of Sweden appear to have two right hands? HeWhoYerfs 06:19, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

The left hands of both flags are identical (but mirrored). Strong Badia's hand looks good, but the mirrored version on the flag of Sweden looks out of place. This is probably because the outside of Strong Badia's left hand makes for a bad inside of Sweden's left hand. So yeah, the perspective is wrong, but I don't know if that's enough for a goof. Loafing 11:06, 11 September 2006 (UTC)
Hm, yeah, I think I can see how that would work. HeWhoYerfs 12:58, 11 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Essay?

"Essay" can't be the best word to describe Viklas's paper. I know, I should probably have a suggestion for a way to improve it, but nothing jumps to mind. But it ain't an essay. OptimisticFool 08:34, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Viklas's name

"Viklas is not an actual Swedish name. The author of the email probably just misspelled Niklas (the Swedish form of Nicholas)."

This seems too presumptuous, an uncommon name doesn't mean it's not a name, and the author may or may not be Swedish.

Maybe remove/edit comment?

Hmm, I agree that the comment seems presumptuous. And for all we know, Viklas is some Swedish guy's nickname, not his actual name. I'd agree with removing it. Also, it might be good beforehand to look in the page history to see how long ago it was added... Trey56 23:22, 18 April 2008 (UTC)
I tried to tweak it, but it may still be too presumptuous. I wouldn't oppose outright removal. -DAGRON 23:32, 18 April 2008 (UTC)

It's not necessary to include speculation, but I'd strongly suggest changing "not a common" to "not an actual". A quick search in the census, phone book or official government statistics prove beyond doubt that there's not a single person in Sweden bearing the name, the closest being a guy with "Wichlas" as his surname. 81.170.129.172 02:46, 24 January 2010 (UTC)

[edit] a fomula

strong bad says "width times height" with height being the same a length it would be width time length or the fomula to find area. I would put that in the real world references or another part of the trivia.

[edit] I think I has the new article!

I think it may be time that we give "I think I has the solution" its own page. It's appeared on the site like 3 or 4 times. According to the rules of making an inside joke article "it must appear on the site at least 3 times". Thoughts?--Geonightman 17:06, 18 December 2010 (UTC)
