Should it be pointed out that Blackhead-Flaced Janice is a joke on the misspelling of Pilmple-faced Bill? Is it possible to over-"over-analyze"?

Homestar's Song

although it's similar, the song homestar's singing isn't the one from anything and the paper. that one comes from "never-ending story", but this one is different. i don't know where it's from, but i'm still deleting that inside reference. --Zatchman 07:03, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

"Human noses?"

Does Strong Bad imply that he is not human? Has this ever happened before?

I was wondering about that myself. I know it was in a quick joke, and may not hold a lot of weight, but I think something like whether or not you're human isn't something that you casually contradict in a joke with out paying attention. You wouldn't say "It looks just like me except with a human nose" even as a joke, unless it was already given that you weren't human, or at least weren't considered human.--.

well, no matter how you look at it, he doesn't have a human nose, just like how homestar and the like don't have arms or pants, and those are mentioned all the time, too. i don't think it has much bearing on what anybody is. --Zatchman 08:54, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Except he said "human nose". It would have been just like Homestar's arms if he just said "nose". The humor in that, just like the humor in fingers is adding something to him that he should have but obviously doesn't. It's the same way with the word human. The humor in adding a human nose to him is that he has no nose and he's not human.--.

A mousy description? / Coach Z can't talk.

First, I'm not sure about that description of the Cheat's mural picture. His pudginess and distinctive, if unlabelled, jar of Hunny seem to suggest Winnie the Pooh to me. (The antennae, obviously, are out of place.)

Second, does Coach Z say "You're toys" or "You're twice"? I definitely heard the latter, which I can imagine him saying because he's weird, but the former makes sense too. Any thoughts? -- Onamuji 12:54, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

The "Jungle Animals in Non-Jungle Situations" thing reminds me heavily of the Cartoon Network show "My Gym Partner is a Monkey." Anyone else?

I think "Shut up, Lady" should be considered a running gag. Three instances have warranted others to be added if my memory serves my correctly. Gunkistan?

Why got the Facts about Gunkistan being a portmanteau and a inside reference to Gunk Iller deleted?

It may be because they're wrong...The portmanteau is less obviously incorrect, but technically -stan and is a suffix, a word in some language (Arabic) meaning "land," which is why it's used at the end of so many countries (Afghanistan = Land of the Afghanis, Kazakhstan = Land of the Kazakhs, etc.). This would make it not a portmanteau. As for the other one, being a reference to the Gunk Iller, I see no reason why this was up there in the first place. Gunk is a very common term for any gross, ambiguous substance.

I disagree with you on the portmanteau subject. if you look at the Portmanteaus page you'll notice "Millionzoic", "Tenthennial" and "Geographist", all words with a general suffix. Gunkistan should be there too. Maybe I was a little off by saying that it's in particular park Pakistan, but that's the only country that have the letter K to form -kistan (Gun-Kistan). Two things

1.) Are we sure Homestar is singing "broken glass?" because I heard "working class". 2.) Will the shady daycare be haunting anybody else's nightmares or just mine?

"Working Class" makes no sense. The pinatas were filled with broken glass as evidenced by the multiple lacerations and shards on Homestar's face. Since Strong Bad asked Homestar to reveal what was contained there-in. In true Homestar way he sung it. Stribbs 17:37, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Toucan Sam, Zazu, and Cinderella

The cover of "Jungle Animals in Decidedly Non-Jungle Situations" has a variation of The Cheat similar to The Lion King (The Cheat resembles Zazu) and Toucan Sam, mascot of Froot Loops. The other is Cinderella.

This is in desperate need of rewording, but first we need to decide what we're doing with it. It can't be Zazu and Toucan Sam. Isn't that TTATOT? I don't really think it's either. It's just a toucan. A random jungle animal. Also, are we sure the other DVD is a play on Cinderella? It seems likely, but not certain. But if so, it needs to be worded better.--.

I think the refernce to Zazu can go, but Toucan Sam should stay. The Cheat looks nothing like Zazu, beyond the blue color and big beak, nor does he look much like a real toucan, but the striped beak gives him a strinking resemlance to Toucan Sam. Bioshock Reference?

Does the singing child at the daycare remind anyone else of the 2nd little sister sighting in Bioshock? The little sister is heard singing a song to the same tune, in a very creepy way. The fact that they're both singing the same tune, both children and the fact that it is very creepy in both cases suggests a reference, no?

Ugly Bird

Anyone else think that Homestar calling the swollen, floating The Cheat an "Ugly Bird" is a reference to... um... the one other email (I forget which one) where Homestar called a swollen, floating The Cheat an "Ugly Bird?"

Someone else sure does, thats why they mentioned it in the article: The Easter egg where Homestar sees The Cheat float by and thinks he's an ugly bird is a reference to helium. -JamesDean

That's what I was thinking too. It's a lollipop, not a toothbrush. Evidence: electric toothbrushes don't spin like that, there is no evidence of bristles of any kind, it's extremely lollipop-shaped, and the usage of words like "rot the teeth out of" and "sugar". Also, given the other unlicensed merch (and unlicensed merch in general), a spinning lollipop fits much better than a toothbrush. As such, the explanation about novelty toothbrushes should either be reworded or outright destroyed. --DorianGray 04:52, 20 February 2008 (UTC)
