The poster from gimmicks		Strong Sad's Lament

There used to be a fun fact that read: "The poster on the wall in Strong Sad's Room is a picture of Morpheus from Neil Gaiman's 'Sandman' series." This description is virtually identical to the one next to the avatar in Strong Sad's Lament, but obviously the images themselves are not identical. What we need is someone to provide a link from somewhere online to the image of the poster (on the left). Once someone comes up with appropriate evidence (either that it's Morpheus or something else entirely), the fact will be reinstated (possibly after having been rewritten, depending on what evidence is found). — It's dot com

Well, as a Sandman (and a Neil Gaiman) fan, I can see the resemblance to Morpheus. But I've never seen that exact incarnation of him before. Gaiman did use many different artists throughout Sandman's run, though, so it could be something I've never seen. Also, I don't remember Morpheus ever wearing a crescent-moon before, but that could just be artist interpretation. I don't know how conclusive this is, but I found several fan sites containing the image on the right: [1], [2], [3], and [4]. (Of course, I realized after finding these that we are really looking for the image on the left.) So then for over an hour I looked through covers of Gaiman's books and comics, and I didn't find anything that points to Strong Sad's poster being related at all to our buddy Morpheus. The guy on the left looks like a pirate to me. Arrrgh mateys! (We might want to post something on the forum, it usually has a nice broad audience where people who might have seen our swashbuckler might be able to tell where he's from.) -- Tom 04:55, 29 Sep 2005 (UTC)

This is a link to the page that contains that image. It's definitely the same as Strong Sad's poster (and the quality is even a little better). I can't find any more information on it, though. What larger work is it from? And why doesn't it show up online under the name "Sandman" except for that one page? — It's dot com 04:16, 10 December 2005 (UTC)

Now, seven years later, you can drag an image into a Google Image search box and it finds identical images. Conclusion: It's definitely Dream AKA Morpheus. It was done by somebody named [| George Pratt] (See the leftmost picture on the bottom-most full row). Stev0 04:42, 5 November 2012 (UTC)

Oh, come on, man. You don't see any point of irony in this thing? I mean, the guy misses the days when Strong Bad would just boringaly answer his emails without anything happening, and then the computer explodes. How much more gimmicky-y can you get, man? I don't know.

That happened to my little TV once, only it didn't explode.... The screen just warped and it shut off, only the power light was still on, and there was a barely discernible squeal with a burning electronic smell in the air.....--Everybody!

Idon't think the song is super freak either. It doesn't sound enough like it to make me believe

I just removed it from the page, thinking it had been recently added. I now see that it had been on the page for a while, so I'm mentioning it here in case it should be discussed further. "This, obviously, is the beginning of the end of the Tandy 400" was removed from the fun facts and STUFF'd, and with good reason: if it's so obvious, then why does it need to be a remark? Is it me, or when you press the left contrast does it resemble those FBI memory flasher devices. Where like, you press the button and it flashes and after it's done flashing your memory would be gone. Could that be a reference? C-Son-L Sweaters 01:37, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
