Email closing

Hey, has anyone noticed that a lot of times when someone signs their email like this:
James,
New York
or Kaitlin,
Massachussetts
(etc)
Strong Bad misinterprets their place as their name? And he must think that their name was the closing, you know like sincerely, or the dreaded crapfully yours. - Miss Free Country USA

I'd say it's just SB being himself and not giving the email writer verbal credit, or otherwise deliberately playing with the name as opposed to him accidentally misinterpreting something. For example, in Crazy Cartoon, he refuses to call the author "Monkeydude," changing it to "Josh" instead. --Southpaw018 20:50, 9 Nov 2004 (MST)

The fact that it's Boston might have something to do with it. It's like in The House that Gave Sucky Treats where Coach Z refers to somebody from Boston as "Boston."

That Game

Am I correct in thinking that there used to be a "reward" when you got 20 on Homestar's "Sid" game (which just took you back to the final section of the email)? --Upsilon

Struck

An unregistered user added <strike> tags around a sentence under the "DVD Version" header. I'm thinking it was either troll activity, in which case the tags should be removed, or the edit was legitimate and the user simply didn't understand that the sentence should be deleted, not struck. Can someone who owns the DVD verify this for me and/or make the appropriate edit? Thanks. JoeyDay (Talk) 12:08, 10 Dec 2004 (MST)

Closed STUFF

Ren & Stimpy XR

The logo for the Extra Real Dating Sim XR is based on the logo for the Nickelodeon cartoon "Ren & Stimpy".

  • Decline. Close, but no cigar. It doesn't even use the Ren & Stimpy font. --Trogga 17:24, 8 Apr 2005 (MDT)
  • Weak Second. Hmmm... but I don't really see how this would be a fun fact... the spludge 20:28, 8 Apr 2005 (CST)
  • decline.exe Seriously, if this was any more of a stretch, it could reach Mars. ... Yeah, that was bad. Rudeboy87 20:44, 8 Apr 2005 (MDT)
  • DOUBLE DECLINE!!! Along with "seconding" with the above, I was a die-hard Ren & Stimpy fan when they still showed it, and I don't remember anything vaguely remotely relating to the sim. Even if there was, it's more of a stretch than Silly Putty . Cheatachu72

Don't touch that transcript

Okay, I've done the DVD commentary transcript, but it's currently only on paper. I've got some work to do tonight, so I may not be able to put it on the comp tonight, but either way, don't start on it if you're thinking of doing such, as it's already done. Suicune64 23:46, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Tire

The Cheat touches the tire and gets a shock. However, the tire is made of rubber and rubber doesn't conduct electricity.

How do we know that the tire is made of rubber? ^_^ Gus 02:58, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

It may be covered with water. Bluebry 03:00, 9 March 2006 (UTC)
The point is, which bits are speculation and which are just rational logic and natural assumption. --DorianGray
It's a cartoon. Where's the wires to electrify the tire? It's all a bunch of comedy. Comments like this overthink IMO. In the joke, it does electrocute TC. That's all that needs to be said. How does his head explode when SM eats rocks and a can of soda? Same answer. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 05:46, 9 March 2006 (UTC)

Computers With Bits In Them

With regards to [these two]: Both the remark and the comment confuse things here. Fundamentally, there is a difference between the CPU architecture and the color depth, and both have features that are described in amount of bits. The Compy has a 386 processor, which has a 32 bit architecture. It was common for 386 machines to have SVGA graphics cards, that would display images in highcolor (16 bits). But even with an 8 bit paletted system, an SVGA card would have easily been able to display the graphics that Strong Bad conjured up on his screen. Modern computers have a colour depth of 24 bits and a 64 bit CPU architecture. "64-bit graphics" is not something that exists.
