The first cliffhanger is a parody of one of those Batman scenes where the villain (Coach Z) tries to unmask Batman (Thnikkaman), however he gets away. This should go in Real World References as well as the [[Batman]] page.

Is it possible that rather than the Atari game, the disk in the box is the old MIDI sequencing software "Cakewalk"?  That would seem more appropriate for a 486, and the Cheat and Strong Bad do, after all, dabble in music.  Generally it seems the precedent of the [[Floppy Disk Container]] is to be for games that were distributed for systems that actually used some kind of disk...

== A glitch? ==

Is it just me, or did the scene with Strong Sad and Homestar take forever? I mean, they just stood at the table staring at each other for about 20 seconds (then Strong Sad finally said something) and then afterwards the word "resolution" hangs on the screen for about another 30 seconds. :Must just be you.  The "Resolution" screen lasts all of about 2 seconds, and the two didn't stare at each other for long, either.  Are you on dial-up, by any chance?  Flash allows the video to start before it's fully loaded, and if you got to that point and the scene hadn't been completely loaded yet, then it's going to pause until it does.  They were still blinking because the blinking animation is a "tween"--sort of like a seperate animation "thread" that repeats over and over. ~ [[User:Bruce|Bruce]] 16:11, 19 September 2006 (UTC)
::Yeah, this is something that occasionally happens when you're on dial-up or any other laggy/slow connection; the toon will freeze for a few seconds while waiting for the rest of it to load.  Used to happen to me all the time, when I was still stuck on dial-up. I think I found a goof but I want to make sure everyone else is seeing it too before I add it...

During most of the spaceship scene, the green ground is slightly cut off on the left side of the screen, so that a strip of white is visible along the black edge of the frame.  Here's a picture in case I'm not making any sense (which... This gives us more insight into Coach Z's life.  He coaches because his "secrort" is that he has poor hand-eye coordination, limiting his actual playing abilities.  "Those who can't, teach," as the cruel saying goes.
But this is hrwiki where nearly every pixel is examined, so let's amp this up.  Why the comma?  Why the less-than sign?  What is the significance to this?  Why not the tilde button?  Much more a "little toe."
And any significance to the missing T in "Nex time?"

Apparently this was disputed for some reason, but I think it's pretty obvious that SB's line, "so you say you want a resolution, huh?" is a reference to a famous line from the song "Revolution" by the Beatles. I'd just like to add to the discussion that the song "Revolution" was used in a well known Nike TV commercial in 1987, and that ad prominently used the chorus.  It was also the subject of much controversy (about whether John Lennon would have wanted his song used to sell sneakers), at least partially due to the fact that it was one of the first times that an original recording of a pop song was used in such a way.  (This is discussed in [[Wikipedia:Revolution (song)|the wikipedia entry on the song]].) We have to decide which order tells the better story, and make an editorial decision. You guys are doing a fantastic job, and my voice added to the chorus won't accomplish much. I'm just a blushing fan, watching from afar. If this gets to be a habit, perhaps I should register, but this is the only time I've felt compelled to throw out an opinion, and I can't imagine many circumstances where I would be likely to do this again. I think that Homestar first is the stronger artistic choice, and I implore everyone here to consider it. Also, if they (TBC) felt that something absolutely HAD to be in a certain order, it either wouldn't be an easter egg (it would be part of the main e-mail content), or it would be one easter egg with one thing following the other, thus forcing the viewer to see it their preferred order. Therefore, we can safely assume that they are comfortable with these easter eggs being viewed in an arbitrary order. Either way works, or they wouldn't have allowed it to be either way. In light of this, I find Qermaq's argument very compelling. In this case, both the top/bottom and the more prominent clickpoint argument works in favor of the switch. I think it also happens to tell a better story, but I've already confessed that that is totally subjective. One last thought on this... everyone contributing to this process has been just great. I almost switched this before I saw the note that said bring it to talk page.  Now I see this hasn't been in question for almost 10 months now, which is ridiculous.  I've felt strongly about it being Homestar, then Coach Z ever since I first saw the toon.  In fact, idk why i left it for this long. Here are some reasons why:
*Everyone knows that mashing the tab key tells you where the clickable items are in the page.  And if you didn't, you do now.  Anyway, the exact order of tabbing is: the paper, the Homestar easter egg, the Coach Z easter egg, the go back link, with Homestar coming ''before'' Coach Z.
*i agree with whoever said that "sports team" is more likely to be a water cooler conversation subject to talk about.  it looks to me like homestar was attempting to start talking about a sports team, since he actually does say he's making water cooler conversation, trying to sound up with the times, whereas coach z gives no reason why he might have said "sports team".  I also agree with the fact that Coach Z is more likely to talk about a sports team, but there is a big difference between saying two words out of context and to start talking about what the two words are about.  Like, if I'm talking about you and you catch me on something and I just randomly say "ballet practice" in response, just to make a different example than "sports team", that never means i started talking about ballet practice.  <s>It looked to me like Coach Z saying it was a reference to Homestar saying it</s> I guess either one could be a reference to the other, actually.
*Also, it seems like Homestar's easter egg was like continuing the current story, which you're already up on your toes for, when Coach z's was going back a ways.  If Coach Z's comes first, then you would have to go back a ways twice instead of once.  If they show up at the same time, the easter eggs should be in order of how close they are to the subject of the easter egg.  As for order top to bottom, that's Homestar to coach z; and order left to right dne.

I'm thinking that Malmsteen's comet is not a reference to Frehley.  Just Malmsteen.  I mean, after all, nearly every well-known comet is named possessively, like Halley's.  Besides, isn't Ace like one of the least popular of the original K.I.S.S. members? (Sorry if I'm wrong on that.)  I suppose what I'm suggesting here is that maybe it just be changed to "''possibly'' a reference to Frehley's" etc. etc.  Opinions?
