Use?

While I know Homestrong probably put a lot of effort into this page, I don't see the use of it. All of the information can be found in the transcript of modeling. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 20:48, 16 June 2006 (UTC)

I agree. Any useful information is elsewhere. This is a throwaway gag, seen for a fleeting moment, never to appear again. small_logo.pngUsername-talk 20:54, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Don't worry, I never take offense at stuff like this. I would reccomend, of course, keeping the article (I think that every "throwaway gag" such as this that ever happened on the site that has sufficient information should have its own article), but failing that, we could merge this article, Homely Boy Brand Huge Tube Socks, and Doctor Stankfoot's Watery Athlete's Foot Cream (all pages I've made) into one article about things Strong Bad imagines during modeling, though I'm not sure how one would title that page. --The_homestrongzipansadcheatsmith2.PNG Tlk/Cnt 21:55, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Well, at least it provided the diverting spectacle of the HRWiki's Longest Article Title Ever! But yeah, HSZSCS2, there are two schools of thought on own-page or not-own-page; not too long ago they erupted in a brief but lively skirmish. I wound up being vocally in the "Hey now! Just because an article's short doesn't necessarily mean it doesn't have a reason to exist!" camp—but—in this case I really don't think it needs an article. (It feels weird, like it's trying to say more than there is to say, you know? Like when you're trying to convince somebody to go out with a really boring person: "Uh, she's got—she likes... movies... I guess... She's got that, um... kinda brownish hair...") —AbdiViklas 00:27, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
I thought every throwaway gag got its own page. — User:ACupOfCoffee@ 01:07, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
We're a wiki devoted to H*R and H*R alone, so we have to (well, should) include everything H*R related. An article is an article, no matter how small. --The_homestrongzipansadcheatsmith2.PNG Tlk/Cnt 04:25, 17 June 2006 (UTC)
I'd like to add (to this three-day-old conversation): Strong Bad is obviously not describing the book in question. After all, the ad for shoes that he describes never comes up; nor does the "colongac" ad come up when he describes it (though we do get one in an Easter egg). Thus, the stuff about Parson Whoever and Chezmerelda really doesn't belong. --Jay (Talk) 00:07, 21 June 2006 (UTC)
I refer you all (mostly ACupOfCoffee) to this. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 03:59, 21 June 2006 (UTC)

...And the final verdict is? --The_homestrongzipansadcheatsmith2.PNG Tlk/Cnt 03:40, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

Well, this is different, as it really belongs on Authorless Books with the rest of its kind. Non of those books get their own pages. SaltyTalk! 03:55, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
I agree. It is either there or on a new page for all the products from modeling (Similar to the page from Made-Up Strong Bad Animals). Elcool (talk)(contribs) 06:49, 27 June 2006 (UTC)
I agree with ACupOfCoffee on this one. Not only does every little tiny page deserve a spot, but Homestrong really put a lot of effort into this one. I say Keep. · · T2|Things 16:31, 16 July 2006 (UTC)
Keep.--H*Bad 08:29, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

It has been joint-proposed that the title of this article be renamed to Unattractive Detective Stories!!. I am in favor of this title. — Lapper (talk) 08:41, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

(As I said in IRC) I think the title is fine as it is, but I wouldn't argue against it being moved to Unattractive Detective Stories, with or without the exclamation marks. --phlip TC 08:45, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Idea

The products listed in modeling are of a different breed than most nameless books and such, these are products Strong Bad ENDORSES...Wouldn't it be easiest to create a page about the products he has envisioned with himself as the salesman? Heck, we can throw SBLOUNSKCHED! in there too as a short description without deleting the original SBLOUNSKCHED page...I like all the hard work put into that page...especially the screenshots of each step.

I like this idea. We could put all the crap from licensed on there, too. Dr. Clash 22:13, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
