At the beginning of the article, it says that Strong Bad and Homestar say they hate The Stick for "Uknown reasons", but it's obviously because he's dressed up as The Lowly Worm. This is even mentioned under Fun Facts, so what gives? --TheMac04 9:38, 11 September 2009 (UTC)

Revision as of 02:21, 19 December 2012

Ding! The Stick is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

'K, I thought the "Big 'ol Tree" version was better. --acekirby13 20:44, 6 May 2005 (UTC)

I have to say somewhere... In my opinion, something as stupid as putting a stick in the ground could have been done by Strong Mad. Maybe Homestar. Or Lil Strong Bad. Maybe Marzipan planted to grow into a big ol' tree on arbor day. - Shortcircuit

Why would this be considered an inside joke?! --Martin925 04:33, 21 Aug 2005 (UTC)

You people got a pretty got picture of the stick as a big ol' tree!

Fun Facts

I'm thinking we could move most of the fun facts to the header as the history of The Stick. --Dacheatbot · Communicate 00:44, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

I see what you're saying. Move those fun facts to near the top of the article (below the first paragraph) as prose. I'm a bit reluctant, though. It would be really staggered. Perhaps a bulleted list would be better after all. —BazookaJoe 00:53, 19 January 2007 (UTC)
Is that a yes or a no? --Dacheatbot · Communicate 00:56, 19 January 2007 (UTC)

Make is thick

Like proposed above, we should move the fun facts to the body of the article. Only toons should have fun facts. This is one of the main places on the whole body of work and there's hardly anything about it. what about all the info from origins? I can see a Featured Article being made from this. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 09:12, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

I totally agree ('cept for that bit about "only toons should have fun facts", but that's not the issue here). Where IS all the info on the page? --DorianGray 09:14, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

Minions

I just changed "minions" to brothers, because this is more accurate and only the brothers strong call it the stick.--Slipstream 08:53, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

I changed it back, because it's more of a meeting place for Strong Bad, Strong Mad, and The Cheat. Not Strong Sad so much. --DorianGray 08:57, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Also, Homestar referred to it as The Stick in army. Shwoo 09:02, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
... where Strong Sad fought for the opposition. Isn't that interesting? Do we have a documented citation of Strong Sad calling it "The Stick"? Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 09:30, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
I just did a search, and the only characters to refer to it as The Stick are Strong Bad and Homestar. Strong Sad doesn't mention it in his blog, either. Shwoo 09:49, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
Shwoo, you are the shet. Nice detective work. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 09:51, 12 May 2007 (UTC)

Captitalization

In the premierpremiere episode, the subject of this article is called "the stick", not "The Stick". Since I can find no policy on (pseudo)character names, I'd suggest use the capitalization used in the actual sbemail. Trlkly 16:05, 21 August 2008 (UTC)

I'm not sure what you mean by the premier episode. Could you please clarify? Heimstern Läufer 16:50, 21 August 2008 (UTC)
I misspoke. It isn't really the premiere. Anyways, since then, I've went through all the toons in which the stick appears, and, when it is typed out, it is always "the stick", not "The Stick."
