The New Girl in Town

Who voices Crack Stuntman's girlfriend and the new evil girl? BBG 14:08, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

It's not Missy. It might be Karen Wagner. wbwolf (t | ed) 14:17, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Now that I think about it, it's more likely to be Jackie Chapman. wbwolf (t | ed) 15:47, 28 July 2008 (UTC)
Sounds most like Jackie. Compare to "We'll be right back with more Strong Bad Emails" from theme song. OptimisticFool 17:12, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Trying to avoid transcript conflicts in the future

I accidentally created this article with the wrong name (The S in Snow was lowercase), and a few minutes later an IP created the article with correct name. I merged the histories and moved the wrong one to the right place. Now, Mithent added the transcript in progress template [1] before Strong Luffy did [2]. I suggest merging their efforts, or for one of them to stop transcribing. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 14:23, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Cold cuts easter egg

Blue lazer tells the minion to add cold cuts to the list, but when he turns they are already there. Just odd is all. Wecannotbesaved 16:26, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

The minion can write extremely fast behind his back.--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 23:12, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Story/storey

Regarding Jay's comment in the history, both "story" and "storey" are valid spellings; the Wikipedia page is at Wikipedia:storey. It seems that "storey" is more commonly used in the UK though (where I live). Usually I use US spellings on the wiki (such as "novelization" in this transcript, versus the "novelisation" I'd usually use) but didn't realise this one was different. -- Mithent 17:12, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Girlfriend

Can you see the girlfriends full face and body when using a flash decompiler? TheThin 19:53, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

No, I tried, it stops right after the black border.-ThePizz 20:20, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Dr. Dre??

I really don't think the title of the toon is a reference to a Dr Dre song, I think it's just a play on the phrase 'the next episode'. There's no real reason why it would be a direct reference at all.

Agreed. Danny Lilithborne 00:44, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
What song? — Defender1031*Talk 00:45, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
I would strongly disagree. The way the title is written out, with the ellipse between Chill and Til, is exactly the way Snoop Dog raps it in the song "Nuttin' but a 'G' Thang". wbwolf (t | ed) 00:52, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
Or it could be, you know, a reference to the pun of "snow" vs. "sode". You can't seriously believe that Dr. Dre invented the phrase "the next episode". Danny Lilithborne 01:13, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
You're missing the point. It's not simply the use of the phrase "the next episode"; it's the entirety of the title that is a reference. wbwolf (t | ed) 02:05, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
*blinks* Now I feel dumb - I thought the title was just called "The Next Epi-Snowed", but the title card does indeed say "Just chill..." which makes it, well, unmistakable. *facefaults* Danny Lilithborne 02:31, 29 July 2008 (UTC)
It's an odd phrase to use, I don't think it was a coincidence. They are just too similar sounding. Wecannotbesaved 11:32, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

New Bad Guy Girl Character

Think she deserves an article, even if it's just a small stub? Every other iteration of Cheat Commandos characters has an article. 76.242.52.163 22:11, 28 July 2008 (UTC)

Chimendez's Voice

I don't think Matt does it. I know he a pretty wide variety of voices, but this one doesn't sound like it can be made by Matt's throat. It actually sounds Venezuelan. TheTeach!

It didn't sound like Matt's to me either, but then again it did sound as if it were quite fake. Wecannotbesaved 11:34, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

It sounds a lot like Dan Cubus. -Anonymous, 7/29/08, 11:33.

    • Sounds more like Señor, but with a deeper voice. -69.219.100.209 (Everybody!, but is not logged on again)
You have to think, that Matt's normal voice doesn't really sound like any of the characters he voices. This would probably be one of the easier voices to do for him. DevonM(talk·cont-ribs) 19:14, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

Dubious Real-World References

I just looked over the page linked to in the article, and I can't see any resemblance of the New Bad Guy Girl Character to The Baroness from GI Joe, aside from the fact that they're both female villains. They don't even look anything alike. Is there anything more to connect the two than this? --Lukeonia1 07:35, 29 July 2008 (UTC)

I don't see the connection to the Baroness either.  Green Helmet 17:38, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

Also, what evidence is there that the title of the toon is a reference to that particular song? I think the page title is more likely an inside reference to Shopping for Danger, at the end of which Gunhaver shouts into the air, "Next episode, Blue Laser! Next episooooode!!" Not counting Commandos in the Classroom, the Thanksgiving holiday special, and the Important Rap Song PSA, this IS the "next episode", coincidentally taking place in the "snow".

Is anyone else reading this? --Lukeonia1 07:12, 10 August 2008 (UTC)

See this section for why it is specifically to that song. --DorianGray 07:15, 10 August 2008 (UTC)
Okay, that being the case, I think the Reference needs to be reworded to refer to the title card, and not the title of the 'toon. I had missed that on the title card, and I probably wouldn't have picked up on the reference without either watching the toon over again, or having it pointed out to me. Is there a better way to write this reference, so we have a better idea of what it's talking about? --Lukeonia1 06:10, 11 August 2008 (UTC)

Snow

I think the snow base, happens to be a reference to how many action figures have artic bases to. (Especially Action Man) SI.com!

Rando goof

I don't know where this info belongs, but i clicked "rando" and it took me to HR:ccd06.html rather than HR:ccdo6.html. — Defender1031*Talk 03:54, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

I say we note it as a goof on this article and the Random Toon article. Homestar-Winner (talk) 04:13, 30 July 2008 (UTC)
Noted. If it doesn't need to be both places... well then I'm sure someone will remove it from here ;)  Green Helmet 12:00, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Chimendez Prime?

Just kind of a silly theory here... I'm by no means a Transformers fan, but the whole "Jump in this box" thing somehow reminded me of something I read somewhere about how Hot Rod became Rodimus Prime in Transformers, taking the lead of the unit, then Prime eventually came back. Ya think it's at all worth mentioning, or are the similarities just a bit too farfetched to be worth mentioning? XD Like I said, I ain't no Transformers fan so I dunno what the conditions were for Hot Rod and stuff. X3 It's me!(Jessica U. Ingmann)It's Strong Sad! <3 07:40, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Um...yeah, it's much more than just "a bit too farfetched". – The Chort 15:44, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Guy who does the bad guy's voice

I think it should be mentioned that he does Blue Laser Commander's voice, not the minion voice (which was the first thing that came to my mind). 91.4.62.6 15:41, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

To quote the first sentence of Guy Who Does The Bad Guy's Voice: "This character has no official name. "Guy Who Does The Bad Guy's Voice" is Crack Stuntman's description of him." Rather like The Little Chef Guy, you see. – The Chort 15:43, 30 July 2008 (UTC)

Underwater Fireplace

So I just had to google the phrase "underwater fireplace." Turns out it really exists. Probably shouldn't go in "real world references," since they probably weren't actually referencing it (i.e. they thought they were making it up), but I personally think it's worth mentioning somewhere. Here's the url: http://home.pacbell.net/ilucas/2808work/underwaterfire/index.html

I don't know. It's a bit too much of a coincidence that the underwater fireplaces are specifically marketed for use in hot tubs, which is what Gunhaver's is in. Even if it is a coincidence, and TBC thought they were making it up, it's similar enough to mention in this article, I say.--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 23:28, 28 August 2008 (UTC)

Going Backwards

Maybe I'm mistaken, but in the opening credits it looks like the two Cheat Commandos (silhouette) are walking backwards.

  • Eh, it does kinda look tat way... I suppose it has something to do with the camera inching right that makes it LOOK like the're going backwards.

MichaelXX2 19:57, 6 September 2008 (UTC)

snowmobile gears?

i noticed gunhaver was humming his snowmobile noise as if it had gears... i dont know much about engines and stuff, but i know for a fact that the majority of snowmachines dont have gears. it might be intentional, but i thought it was worth mentioning.

Who's the second from the right cheat commando at the podium scene?

He has sun glasses, is dressed in a military outfit with three medals, and he also doesn't join in on the "rock, rock on!" with the others. Any ideas??

Flashfight  Green Helmet 02:58, 14 August 2008 (UTC)

Good bye and good night

Dose this mean Crakstuntman ends doing the voice for gunhaver?

It's implied in the toon, but we can't say for sure until either Crack or Gunhaver make another appearance. --DorianGray 02:43, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
