[edit] Needed

Is this page really needed? All it lists is Homestar sings the theme song to Neverending Story. This information could easily be catalogued on the Real World References, so I do not see the value of this page. I say, Delete. Sbmaniac 18:54, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

Unless we can somehow expand this article, it should be deleted. – The Chort 16:41, 10 May 2009 (UTC)
If you can find an example of him humming, put that on the toons page under the Real world references as the theme song for neverending story. Other wise, this is not a article worth the time. Mainly, because it s like, one sentence.--Smartkidhen 19:21, 14 May 2009 (UTC)smartkidhen
Agree with everyone else. Use Real-World References and delort this. Strongkinghomsarsmith 16:32, 15 July 2009 (UTC)
Isn't needed, should be deleted. free 18:43, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
Uh, what are you talking about, Emily? Homestar sings the theme to The NeverEnding Story, the second and third times for no real reason. That makes it a running gag per our inclusion guidelines. Maybe it needs to be fleshed out a little, or maybe it's just a short article. There's nothing inherently wrong with that. Regardless, keep it. — It's dot com 21:20, 7 September 2009 (UTC)
I think it should be pointed out that since the second and third time he sings are direct references to the first time, this is a case of a running gag in its most traditional sense. -128.103.10.119 23:45, 7 September 2009 (UTC)

This tottaly isn't needed! I'm with all the other people who think this should just be put under "Real-world Refrences" on the toons that they are in. Delete! cash money tc 15:48, 14 September 2009 (UTC)
I agree with Triple M, it should be deleted and real-world reffed in that order. — Stavey the Stupid Hippie 22:42, 7 December 2009 (UTC)
Let's see... Yep, a DELETED. --209.148.176.136 11:50, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Keep. This entirely fits our guidelines. A reminder to all that "I don't like it" is not a valid reason for deletion; very few here are actually making any arguments for deletion. Nor is "it's too short" a reason that's in any way reflective of our guidelines. Heimstern Läufer 12:03, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
Keep this article. And I also agree with Heimstern - This could be a good case explaining the difference between a vote and a consensus. This is a clear-cut running gag per our Inclusion Guidelines. Also, a link to this article could be easily put in the Inside References of an article, as it would be in the Real-World References. So the argument leading the deletion votes is not so strong. This article has all the merit it needs to stay: we have 3 appearances of a very specific topic that establish a pattern and it's very relevant to the Homestar Runner world. What part of that doesn't make it clear that this topic merits an article, even if it's a very short one (something that this wiki is not a stranger to)? --Stux 14:39, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Short article =/= bad article. Though short, there is nothing wrong with this. While I can't see how we can expand it, this fits criteria for a gag, and maybe it doesn't need to be expanded. As stated above, it is very precise and the appearances are hard to disagree with. And each time it is Homestar singing. Rather than yelling old Strong Bad catchphrases, take a step back and think. One joke mentions an older joke, which is the whole point of running gags. Keep.--Jellote wuz here 18:04, 8 May 2010 (UTC)
Hi, I'm J. Random Internetschmuck and I found this article (and the hrwiki) specifically because I was trying to find the Neverending story song references in SBEs. I realize it's kind of pointless, and the purist Wikipedia guys hate articles of this caliber, but I think it's a very useful page that can't really be achieved through other methods. 21:48, 28 June 2011 (UTC)
Keep, for all of the reasons given above. RickTommy (edits) 04:26, 24 June 2012 (UTC)
