Shouldn't we add the transcript of the interview?Like the questions and awnsers and stuff

someone is probably working on it SamuelGuy10 21:14, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
I'd do the transcript if my HRWiki account gets processed :\
1. Transcripts tend to be copyright violations unless permission is sought from the interviewer first. 2. You can still edit as an anonny (even to do major edits). In this case though, please mind what I said about copyright. — Defender1031*Talk 21:31, 12 July 2014 (UTC)
Well, I've actually started writing the transcript (offline), and I'm about 19 minutes into it (This is taking so much longer than I expected!). I won't put it up here unless we are actually clear to post it. Still, maybe it's just me, but it seems like this interview is pretty important as far as the H*R universe goes. I think we should probably try to seek permission from Jeff Rubin. -- ■■   PURPLE  WRENCH   ■■ 01:18, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
I already have the first 27 minutes transcribed so I'll post it real quick so we don't all do a lot of double work. Also just emailed Jeff Rubin asking for permission so I'll let you know if he replies. - Joshua 13:48, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
My version is in the history now, I think having it up before he gets a chance to reply probably isn't the classiest decision. - Joshua 14:04, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
Wow, it looks great so far! Just a couple of suggestions in case we do actually put this up:
  • Those action figures are apparently spelled M.U.S.C.L.E.
  • Matt inconsistently refers to modems as "28.8" (twenty-eight-eight) and "56k" (fifty-six-k).
  • When he talks like Strong Bad, you might want to actually put the person speaking as Strong Bad.
  • Jeff Rubin says "democraticizes" (as in democracy), not "demographizes" (as in demographics), although neither is actually a word.
  • You might want to put HTML comments that tell people not to alter the grammar because it's taken verbatim from an interview. The Wiki has had similar problems with, for instance, Soap Box Doiby.
But overall, no problems -- and it actually reads better than mine, because I was trying to include every "uh" and "like" while still retaining proper grammar, which is basically impossible. Good luck in contacting Jeff Rubin! -- ■■   PURPLE  WRENCH   ■■ 14:52, 13 July 2014 (UTC)
Hey Jeff Rubin

Several Homestar Runner fans and I would like to know if it would be okay for us to transcribe your July 4, 2014 interview with Matt Chapman and put it on the Homestar Runner Wiki. Please let us know if this would be all right with you.

Sincerely,
Joshua Button

Jeff Rubin sent the following reply. Looks like everything is cool. I knew there were some pop culture spellings I hadn't had the time to look into (since writing it takes so much time haha). I won't have time to continue working on it until Tuesday at the earliest so anyone else who wants to take over feel free. I occassionally omitted the inconsequential "um", "like" and "you know" phrases since the appear so often. - Joshua 19:22, 13 July 2014 (UTC)

Jeff Rubin <jeffrubinjeffrubinshow@gmail.com>:

Cool by me, I'm impressed you asked for permission. Can you just mention to the show up top and include a link? Thanks!
