Ding! The Goblin is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

Would the exact music played for The Goblin's intro be good to put on? I really want to know what it is.-LordQuackingstick 21:42, 17 January 2007 (UTC)

It wouldn't be agood thing for the actual page, but if anyone knows it, just put it on this talk page - Dr. Clash

[edit] Resemblance to HSR

The goblin oddly resembles HSR himself, with lack of arms, an underbite, and a similar body shape (although much shorter). Does anyone else think this is intentional? Jedibob5 21:58, 21 April 2008 (UTC)

I think it's because Homestar was the one who created him in the first place in Homestarloween Party. He just modeled The Goblin after himself. Severyourleg59 12:31, 14 July 2009

Also in Halloween Potion-ma-jig, Homestar can turn into The Goblin along with much more obvious Homestar Runner character variations like Tofu Homestar, which also suggests that The Goblin is a character variation. --JohnnyLurg 18:54, 4 January 2013 (UTC)

But the cast has interacted with The Goblin since then as the guy became his own character now. In Most in the Graveyard, Homestar wanted to have The Goblin turn the candy into lots of money and when The Goblin appeared and was asked about that, The Goblin shook his head no and brought his extended dance remix instead. Until a future toon clarifies the matter, I don't count The Goblin as a character variation.
Adding on, in Happy Hallow-day, Strong Bad had The Cheat summon The Goblin who appeared to be on vacation since Halloween night was missing. This is while Homestar and the others were still looking for Halloween night. — Ngamer01 21:39, 4 January 2013 (UTC)
I don't even know why this is being discussed. The claim that The Goblin might be a Homestar variation makes the idea of someone claiming that Homsar is a Homestar variation look reasonable by comparison, and would any of us think that Homsar is not a separate character from Homestar? No. Just no. — Defender1031*Talk 17:29, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

[edit] note about filmography

The goblin also apperently has been in every halloween episode EXCEPT [the doomy tales of the macabre] maybe he'll show up for thanksgiving or decemberween instead this year ~The Accountless Avenger

No. He wasn't in The House That Gave Sucky Treats, Halloween Fairstival, or Doomy Tales of the Macabre. StrongAwesome 21:04, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

He might appear for the Decemberween 'toon this year, if the Brothers Chaps from their break. we didn't have a Thanksgiving 'toon this year, because of the birth of the Chaps' new baby. let's hope they come back JUST in time for Decemberween! Jibblejibblejibble 21:26, 20 December 2009 (UTC)

Sadly, it's apparent that we do NOT have a Decemberween 'toon this year, according to the new baby. Jibblejibblejibble 01:22, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
