I feel like I'm missing something.

There's no Arrow'd Guy in this ep. It's like a staple of the series has been neglected. So sad... —NFITC1talk 14:26, 17 July 2006 (UTC)

Now that I think about it, this is the first TGS not to include Tompkins since he was introduced as well. --Jay (Talk) 18:05, 17 July 2006 (UTC)
Maybe they are creating new inside jokes since it is the 11th issue. Maybe they will use a maniac in a speedo and the spaceman in later issues. - Jonka
According to the minor characters page, this episode introduced more new minor characters than any other one. I guess they just didn't have room/forgot/didn't care. - Joshua 03:04, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
It indicates the strength of the TGS series that they don't need to rely this much on recurring characters. After the "jumping the shark" hints in episode 10, I'm relieved that they've been able to move on.  Loafing 03:13, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Leet Speak

Does anyone else think Cheerleader's line "Your stepmom is teh fascist" counts as leet speak? I'm not sure if I should add it as a fact. --Bobmario2 03:59, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Nope, just counts as a misspelling of 'the'. —NFITC1talk
I disagree. I believe that "teh" is common internet slang/leet speek. Also, the use of such language is common in Teen Girl Squad past. — Lapper (talk) 06:37, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, I use "teh" all the time, as in "teh coolness", "gimme teh cookies", etc. While it isn't leet according to leet's definition (random numbers inserted, which would make teh t3h, which I also see a lot), it is internet slang. --אוקאלייליי (Ookelaylay)

So-and-so smokes?!?!

Like no one on the site smokes and actually mentions it!--ChrisF talk 12:19, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Have you read the article Smoking? Elcool (talk)(contribs) 12:47, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
Really though I doubt that she was smoking before she got into prison. She probably picked up the habit while she was doing hard time. B)

First Basing

Is it possible that the name of the camp could also be a referrence to all of the TGSers ultimate goal...getting to first base with a boy?

Could be. That would mirror the name of the boys' camp: tgs want to get to first base, the boys want cosplay. But what does the "wassa" stand for?  Loafing 22:49, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
There are two other baseball references in the toon. Maybe they're related. — It's dot com 22:51, 18 July 2006 (UTC)
Interesting. Maybe they are connected, or maybe it's just a coincidence.--Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 04:40, 20 July 2006 (UTC)
I thought it was a ref to "Wassamatta U". Danny Lilithborne 06:53, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
Sounds to me like a parody of stereotypical pseudo-Native American naming conventions for summer camps.— Bassbone (TALK Strong Mad Has a Posse CONT) 00:27, 5 August 2006 (UTC)
I've added this as an inside reference to Making Out.  Loafing 23:44, 18 July 2006 (UTC)

Page Title

Does anyone know what's with the page title of "Eleven Division Titles"? It just seems so random... --Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 04:37, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Yeah. It's in the Fun Facts section. —BazookaJoe 04:49, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Mary Kate picture...

How in the WORLD did anyone find this out? I'm stunned. Crystallina 14:33, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

See Olsen Twin'd!! on my talk page. Not to give anything away, but it might also be a good idea to click "edit" next to that section and look at the code. — It's dot com 14:52, 20 July 2006 (UTC)

Ringtones?

Do we really need that fun fact explaining what a ringtone is? I'd say stuff it.--Dwedit 01:49, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

I deleted it. Ringtones are common knowledge.  Loafing 01:59, 21 July 2006 (UTC)

Their throats gotta be hurtin' after that one...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but is this the highest note anyone's ever hit on the website? --Kiwi 12:56, 24 July 2006 (UTC)

Let's ask one of those music nuts we have around here sometimes. =) --DorianGray
That's a high F. And probably ya. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 04:09, 29 July 2006 (UTC)
More thoughts here. I just heard Kelly Clarkson's "Since U Been Gone" again, and her highest note is a G, one whole step above this one. Unless Matt used a pitch changer to hit the note (and I somehow doubt he would have) it's actually quite a feat. Considering the low C or so Strong Bad's sung I-forget-where, and this note, that's about a three-and-a-half octave range, which is nothing short of incredible. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 23:01, 30 July 2006 (UTC)
Are you talking about the Chumbly Wumbly Bear song? Cuz that's falsetto (as are TGS voices in general). However, my throat did hurt after attempting to sing along. Danny Lilithborne 04:52, 6 August 2006 (UTC)
Whether it's falsetto or not, it's amazing. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 04:58, 6 August 2006 (UTC)

Shortshorts

Has anyone else noticed that Camp Counselor Shortshorts really, REALLY looks like Richard Simmons? — Plaingoldrin (Talk | contribs) 01:34 July 28, 2006 (UTC) (left unsigned)

Now that you mention it, he does. SaltyTalk! 06:46, 28 July 2006 (UTC)
Someone had already put that in as a real-world reference at same stage. I reverted it because simply having curly hair and wearing short shorts does not make a Richard Simmons. It would have helped if he'd also wear the trademark sports shirt, but even then the counselor might still be a generic sports character.  Loafing 11:33, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

Canoe Error

In the canoe, Cheerleader and The Ugly one were facing each other. This is an error: in rowboats the two passengers face each other because the front person (facing the rear) has both oars, and pulls to move the boat forward; in canoes both passengers face front as both hold one paddle. --Saxonjf 00:57, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Nicely spotted. Next time dare and put it on the page itself, not the talk page :-D I've put it in as a remark for now, but maybe it really is a goof. Loafing 01:06, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Rubble D, where my smokes at?

No one will read this all down here and so long after the 'toon, but you think TBC naming whoever it is Rubble D has anything to do with the popular cartoon Ed, Edd and Eddy, in which a character is named Double D? Deserves a tiny reference.

It's possible, but to me anyway it's not really close enough for a main toon page mention. It is an interesting observation though, thanks for noting it here! Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 23:09, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

The diabetes "trivia" is wrong

I'm not sure if this is the place to discuss this, but the "trivia" about the racoon probably having diabetes is way off base. Diabetics *never* take 17 shots at a time, and a diabetic will go into a coma much sooner from too much insulin (ie 17 shots) than from not enough. It's much more likely a reference to either:

1. nothing at all other than a weird bunkmate

2. rabies shots - given that racoons often carry rabies and there is a long series of shots to attempt to treat a patient infected with rabies. Rabies is a neurological disease and could potentially produce a coma, among other things.

Anyone have any opposition to me changing this "trivia"?

Dr. T

It's possible this refers to rabies or any of a number of other problems. I'd support removing it on TTATOT grounds. And BTW, this is exactly the place to discuss this. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 17:14, 2 August 2006 (UTC)
It think it more likely to be a reference to, and, at the same time, lampooning diabetes, since racoon girl is also listless and weak. I realize that not all diabets are listless and weak, but it is a common view of them. I think it should be left in. Besides, rabies innoculations would be made by doctors, and rabies doesn't lead directly to a coma. --Saxonjf 02:16, 8 August 2006 (UTC)

Uggs vs. Ug

Anyone else out there catch that "Ug" was the nickname of the camp counselor the campers harassed in the Nickelodeon show Salute Your Shorts?

Out of line

The notebook paper in the frame of the toon and outside of the frame do not match up.

Not Quite The Right Voice

In the beginning, Cheerleader's voice is not even close to how it usually sounds. This could be due to how long it was since Issue 10 was made.

You my wingman

In this context, a wingman is a person who assists a friend in approaching a member of the opposite sex.

Braves Win! Braves Win!

The page title "11 Division Titles!" likely refers to the Atlanta Braves, who, at the time of the toon, had won 11 consecutive division titles.
