Remember When?

Can anyone remember when this toon was put up? I think it deserves to be listed in the "Not Quite Strong Bad Emails" section of the Strong Bad Emails page, but I want to make sure it's put in the proper chronological order. --TheNintenGenius 13:13, 15 Jan 2005 (MST)

Possible goof...but probabaly not

was strong bad's eyes being half shut on purpose...or was this a mistake. the only reason i can see them doing this was to show that it was late at night (as the superbowl is)...which is probably the reason.

Very, very, very likely on purpose. I think he was squinting in mild exasperation at Strong Mad. --BazookaJoe 21:11, 9 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Different title?

Is it just me, or did the title of this used to be "Football makes a good excuse" when it was new? As in, "Football makes a good excuse for why the Strong Bad E-mail was late for this week?" I'm SURE that this phrase was on the web site somewhere, I just can't remember where. Am I thinking of another cartoon? Was that the phrase in the green "what's new" bubble the week this came out? Someone with a good memory help me out here. --TobyTheRobot

Check out the description on this page. You are right. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 05:45, 8 December 2005 (UTC)

strong mad goof?

Has anyone else noticed that sometimes at the beginning of the toon, Strong Mad is missing his legs and arms for about half a second? That freakin marshmallow 06:30, 21 January 2007 (UTC)that_freakin_marshmallow

I haven't seen this. Smells like "Flash artifact" to me. From the loading-ness. --DorianGray

Yeah, yeah, for me, the first time I ever watched it, it was like, Strong Mad, in a red room, with no couch or TV, and no face or left arm, then the sofa appeared and the tv and couch appeared at the same time. It's one of those "first time" things, because the second time I watched it, It loaded perfectly with no glitches (although it has no loading screen...for some reason...) -- Bubz 22:37, 26 July 2009 (UTC)

The only one?

The article said:

This is the only toon on the site that does not have a loading screen.

I'm pretty sure some Tandy 400-era Strong Bad Emails lack a loading screen, but are these 'toons? I'm guessing they are, so I'll be italic. Er, I mean, be bold. DEI DAT VMdatvm center\super contra 14:47, 22 July 2007 (UTC)

which the crap email is delayed?

I notice, on this page, an extreme lack of me knowing which email was delayed, save looking for which email had a date directly after this. I'll find and attempt to put it on there, but if somebody can fix this before me, great! Sompm 02:53, 31 December 2009 (UTC)

okay, the date of this is 1/29/03, and the nearest email, Huttah!, is dated 1/28/03. explanation pershap? was this a week in advance, or an explanation of a previous lateness? OR, heaven forbid, WE SCREWED UP! gasp! halp? Sompm 03:05, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
So huttah! was released on January 28, Superbowl Dealie was added January 29, and monster truck was released the next Monday. To sum it up, there was no delay. That'sBupkis! 03:26, 31 December 2009 (UTC)
Apparently the person who added it said January 29, then January 26, then six days later moved it back to January 29, and it's gone unchallenged for seven years. However, I think the 26th is far more likely, considering that's when the Super Bowl in question happened. Actually it would be the 27th in EST, b/c what probably happened is that they released the toon when the game had been over for about six hours. The Knights Who Say Ni 05:28, 30 January 2012 (UTC)
