Difference

And how exactly is this different from any other impersonation? RickTommy (edits) 22:05, 25 March 2016 (UTC)

This happens more often than other characters, so it deserves its own page, I think. FLCTNUy.png g1f4dgysegaxrgszgodfrc 02:16, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
What distinguishes it from regular impersonations that it doesn't deserve its own subsection on the page? - Catjaz63 03:09, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
I'm not convinced that it happens more often, but I AM convinced that it doesn't deserve its own page, nor even a subsection on that other page. They fit nicely into the list as it exists, there's no reason to separate them out. Delete. — Defender1031*Talk 18:52, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
We have a seperate page for Strong Sad's Severed Head, even though it could simply be put into a subsection on Severed Body Parts. Also, this is notable, because some of Homsar's most famous quotes, like "I was raised by a cup of coffee" or "I'm a song from the sixties", were originally said by Strong Bad. And this has 13 different quotes, which is more than any other character impersonation, I think. FLCTNUy.png g1f4dgysegaxrgszgodfrc 22:22, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
Well for Strong Sad's severed head, there are multiple occasions where it happens; 10 to be exact. But on this page, only two are really unique to Strong Bad and Homsar's relationship. In the other three examples, they're Strong Bad imitating the character that the person is dressed as for the costume. The thing about these three examples are that he does this for pretty much every character that people dress up as, so it's not mutually exclusive to Homsar. Therefore, I think this page has no real significant value and does not hold enough weight as its own page, or as DeFender says, nor even a subsection. Delete. - Catjaz63 23:22, 22 June 2016 (UTC)
Here's the thing: I personally don't consider Impersonations of Other Characters a running gag. There are characters, they're bound to imitate each other, it happens. That page isn't documenting the progression of a running gag, it's just a helpful list of times characters have imitated each other. This, however, I see as its own running gag, separate from other imitations. (Strong Bad even comments on this running gag in the new Fan Costumes, and even parodies it.) And as a running gag, I think it deserves its own page. Including it amongst other impersonations wouldn't do this running gag justice on this terrifyingly exhaustive wiki.
On a mildly similar note, would Strong Bad's Homsar Quotes be a better name for this page? It seems to be more about the quotes themselves (as even Strong Bad refers to them) rather than the act of imitation. FLCTNUy.png g1f4dgysegaxrgszgodfrc 21:47, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
I like it. Or further, Strong Bad’s Made-Up Homsar Quotes. And I agree, even if it wasn’t notable before (I think it was), Strong Bad’s explicit reference to the gag in recent FanStumes pushes it cleanly into notability. -50.234.189.37 23:15, 24 November 2019 (UTC)
I agree that Strong Bad imitating Homsar is a running gag in its own right. I'm fine with the title the way it is (though if it is renamed, I don't see the point of adding "made-up"; that's implied). Lira (talk) 20:02, 25 November 2019 (UTC)
After the last fan costumes where Strong Bad specifically acknowledges the joke as a running gag, this changes everything. I vote Keep. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 07:36, 24 November 2020 (UTC)
