From what I gather from retro-gaming, Sinistar seems to be the best guess. However, I would like to turn your attention to [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battlezone Battlezone]. I remember playing this game ever so long ago and its graphics engine truly reminds me of StrongBadZone. Furthermore, when I was reading about it now, I discovered that the DOS port was named bzone.exe, which would be consistant with "sbzone".
