Talk:Stinkoman 20X6 Playable Characters

From Homestar Runner Wiki

Jump to: navigation, search

There's only two real playable characters in Stinkoman 20x6, this page is worthless. See:

  • Stinkoman: Playable character.
  • Stinkoman with fist: Um... it's Stinkoman. With a bigger fist. We didn't create a page about Bucket-Hand, did we? Actually, wait, we did, but it was deleted.
  • Stinkoman on Ice: See above.
  • 1-Up: Again, a playable character.
  • Stinkowing: You're controlling Stinkoman, who's driving the Stinkowing. It doesn't have a mind of its own. —Gafaddict Image:Gafaddict sigpic.gif (Talk | Contribs.) 17:31, 7 Sep 2005 (UTC)
This page isn't worthless, but a good place to explain the controls and actions of Stinkoman 20X6. And to answer your "Buckhand" comment, we aren't creating a page just for Big-fisted Stinkoman. - Joshua
This page isn't worthless at all. For one thing, I think it's a good idea to have those sprites on the wiki in case someone wants to see them, and this page is the best place. As Joshua pointed out, it explains the controls of Stinkoman 20X6. The addition of the different "game over" messages is a cute touch. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 18:26, 7 Sep 2005 (UTC)
I agree that this might be a good page to have, but it really needs a different name. It isn't a list of playable characters, but just the different images of only two playable characters.--.Johnny Jupiter! talk cont 18:58, 16 February 2008 (UTC)
I disagree. I think this name is appropriate. Although there are only two characters, this page shows their playability and the playability of their variations. I can't think of any more appropriate article names, but if you can think of any, feel free to make suggestions. --Stux 23:27, 16 February 2008 (UTC)

Running Speed

After looking at a couple of levels, I think Stinkoman and 1-Up run at exactly the same speed (level 4 excepted, of course), though I'm not exactly sure how to test this. Thoughts? --Jay (Talk) 19:02, 7 Sep 2005 (UTC)

You could try using a certain piece of Fanstuff, and having 1-Up and Stinkoman run across the exact same piece of ground and timing it/counting the beats of the music. --videlectrix.pngENUSY discussionitem_icon.gif user.gifmail_icon.gif, 20:10, 7 September 2005 (BST)
Eh, okay. Stinkoman DOES run ever-so-slightly faster than 1-Up then. --Jay (Talk) 19:22, 7 Sep 2005 (UTC)

1-Up runs 16% slower than Stinkoman, jumps with a 20% faster take-off speed (which I think means he jumps 44% higher) and climbs 27% slower. Go Flash Decompiler. --phlip TC 04:48, 8 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Strange how 1UP, being the 20X6 counterpart of Homestar Runner, would be slower than Stinkoman, the 20X6 counterpart of Strong Bad. Homestar is a lot faster than Strong Bad, and 1Up is built for running.

Stinkowing

Should we create a main article on the Stinkowing? It has made two appearances. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 00:22, 16 Sep 2005 (UTC)

Oh, come on! If anything, it could be an inside joke, but it's not even very funny! Oh, well, since I've got nothing to do with my life, I may as well go see if the laser sprites are any different or not on the games menu. -FaceCrap

Ignoring the above, I think we should definitely make a page for it if we see it a third time. It could go either way right now. --Jay (Talk) 15:14, 17 Sep 2005 (UTC)
It's an Inside Reference on Stinkoman 20X6 and also an Inside Reference (though I'm about to move it to a Fast Forward) on Scrolling Shooter Games Menu. This is enough for this ship I think, though it probably wouldn't be a bad thing to hang a link to Scrolling Shooter Games Menu on this page too. I agree, if it appears a third time give it a page, until then this is enough. --phlip TC 15:29, 17 Sep 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, I agree with Jay. -FaceCrap

Stinkowing Laser Status: Same lasers as game menu. Go figure. -FaceCrap 14:55, 28 December 2005 (UTC)

I also agree with Jay. Just to note it, the Stinkowing is just the black part of Strong Bad's mask. Cool, huh? LePorello / T / C 12:58, 24 February 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, though it is pretty obvious. -FaceCrap 14:35, 25 March 2006 (UTC)

Trophy?

Um, does "1-up trophy" mean he tunes to solid gold? 'Cause that's what happened to me when I beat level 5.1 Nihaho13 19:18, 1 July 2010 (UTC)
