A seek bar is a useful piece of JavaScript designed to help you be able to control Flash in browsers. I think there's a link to some seek bars on the StrongBadZone page. The Mod

I am surprised nobody's done this yet, I am making a mod for the game. It is called "Stickly Man Adventures." The only thing is, I can't get it to work after I export it, even though I have the object library in the same file and all that. It'll continuously repeat the loading phrase. Any ideas on how to fix this? I can send the "fla" file if you email me your email address at or, I can't send you the swf decompiler, because it is too big to email.(Note you'll need flash mx 2004)-Quinn

Man, this is hard!

Holy Crap! This game is so hard (to me) it blows my mind! Tough jumps, no checkpoints, the works! I can't even beat level 1.2! Arrrrgh! ...Whew. Glad I got that outta my system. On a lighter note, this is a great game, if not a bit hard. -acekirby13

Dude, I can defeat Nebulon like cake, man. I wrote the walkthroughs for level 5 (except for the cutscenes, boss and part of level 5.2) I still can't get past anything on level 4 because if I press a button too long it gets stuck in running position. Amy Whifflepoof

Okay, I just want to start with, HELLO! This is a stinkon' easy game when you practice, by learning timing from experience or taking altrnative routes. (these will help on level 6. It took me a while until I beat the mouse.)-Amy Whifflepoof, not signed in. By the way acekirby(whoever you are). I can beat 5.2 easily. All you have to do is stand on the edge and make sure NOTHING is under one foot. Then, to avoid Downtant fire, simply jump. Actually, the truth is, I can beat it easily because my lappy is extremely slow and old. Maestro.

Yes, yes, I've gotten there. I haven't been on the Wiki in quite some time. Currently, I've beaten all the levels, with practice. The cloud level, I thought, was easier. I am still the Stinkomaster, but it took me several tries to beat Ekersby. I finally understood it after several tries and also I won on a library compy. (My compy skips, so I always run into Old Sages.) Amy Whifflepoof

Did anyone notice that you can download and edit the XML files to create new levels? This could be good for the Fanstuff Wiki, if anyone gets it working. --EDSMILDE

Well, I think you have to edit the flash file to get them to work offline first (which is not too hard). They are at:

Those are the ones I found in my temp folder (even though I didn't get to those levels). If you go to View -> Page Source in Firefox, you can kinda figure out how it works (maybe). --EDSMILDE Edit: Darn, the links don't work. They are in some other folder. Once I figure out the folder name, the game will work offline. And they don't show up on Google yet.

Ooh - found it - They're in another folder called "levelData." EDSMILDE

-As a note for other people wanting to edit, you need to get the 5 level files, the main swf, and the object library: [7]. (You can see some game graphics if you view that file)

Hey, if you decompile the flash file for the game you'll see there is already a level editor in there on the script for sprite 761. Unfortunately I don't know anything about flash, so I don't know what to do with that, or how to get to it, but someone must.

Stlunko, the world 3 boss, could very well be modeled after...

  • ...the final boss in the Donkey Kong game for Game Boy, in which you fight a giant version of Donkey Kong who uses two hands to smash you in a manner very similar to Stlunko.

Rose Blake

When SB says "rose face" in #125, it sounds slightly like "rose blake" in stinkoman game.

Black Spots

Stinkoman doesn't have any black spots on his cheeks for the ripped off sprites

it is a ripoff of Megaman sprites.

The name Tampo may be a reference to a Japanese kind of fried food (Tempura). Or even Tempo, the speed of music.

Stone Fist

When you beat the final boss, Stinkoman says he got a power-up and puts on the stone fist, showing an almost 100% chance for more levels!

Control Scheme

The poor control scheme (a to jump, s to fire) may be another Mega Man reference, this time to the Mega Man Anniversary Collection which included Mega Man 1-8. On the Gamecube version, the controls for fire and jump were also messed up. (a to fire, b to jump) This eventually ended up with many frusterated gamers who intented to jump over a bottomless pit, but instead fired their plasma buster instead.

  • Decline. This has got to be a joke. Poor control scheme? Tons of computer games use cursor keys as directions and a and s as action buttons. Also it is not uncommon to see the action buttons in the same order, with jump on the left and attack on the right. Additionally, many gamers choose a and s as their main buttons when setting up games and emulators and have no joypad. Planet K is in the Year 20X6, where gas stoves would have gone out of everyday life, yet some can be seen in stage 2.

I've always found the "x" to mean that it's a wildcard, meaning it could be 2006, 2016, 2026, etc. - as in time capsule, it's highly unlikely that a Number One Jam cassette or a gross old wig in a time capsule wouldn't have decomposed in 18,000 years. --TheEggman

        • A capital X signifies a Roman numeral 10. And variables are usually lowercase, but if you don't have a character set with upper- and lowercase letters (like most old video games), then you just have to make do with what you got. Different Colors

The fact that Gaspeau (red) and Frotzer (blue) are almost the same exact enemies may be a reference to the old Zelda games where an enemy could be red or blue and that the blue version of the enemy was always harder.

Tiny eye difference

The 1-Up sprites in Level 4 are slightly different to the ones in Level 5 — they were not reused, as the Stinkoman ones are.

Liekand's magic powers

Liekand is also reminiscent of the game Magic Pockets, in which the character's attack is a bouncing tornado that can spit out smaller tornadoes.

Weird glitch.

My brother's a big fan of this game. One day, long ago, we we're checking out the Continue Menu, and ALL THE LEVELS WERE THERE!!!! My brother noticed the strange thing that happened, and swore that he didn't make all this happen. He didn't have a clue of what was going on. Then I thought, This is obviously a rare glitch. I didn't do anything. So now when I see "stinkoman level <#>!" on the main page, I go the game and click "CONTINUE" and I check it out. Pretty cool, huh? I see. That's probably also why my grandmother's computer has it too. Oh welll. List of levels my brother hasn't beaten yet:


  • 5.2 (It's pretty hard, my brother can't get though the uptants in a row)
  • 7.2 (My brother has beaten this level at grandmother's, but when we came back it was gone.)
  • 8.1 (For some reason, it came out today. My brother can't play it because he's still asleep. That, and the computer can't access the game.)
  • 8.2 (Ditto.)


  • Tampo (Even if it's the first level boss. it was supposed to be easy.)
  • Nebulon (If you can't beat the .2 level, you can't see/beat the boss.)
  • The Liekand (He has seen it, though.)
  • An Ice Machine (Ditto with The Leikand.)
  • Unnamed Boss (For the reason he can't play Level 8.)

Object library

I don't believe that the PUSH stove has been used in level seven. I don't recall that snowflake either (or maybe I do, it might be something else that I'm thinking of). The purple arrow things are part of the Stinkoman level editor that TBC use, of which remnants remain in the stinkogame.swf on the site (but can't be accessed as vital parts seem to be missing). When the level editor is active, moving platforms and the like stay still and the arrows show where they will move to. --phlip TC 16:33, 4 Aug 2005 (UTC)

I'm playing a web version (from, and all that happens is that Stinkoman falls down the screen and dies, no ground, no bosses, WTF is going on?

Your best bet is to download phlip's Stinkoman 20X6 Cheat Program, then run nocheater.html. You can find it here. Look for Venusy's Complete list of files used to mod Stinkoman, then download all those files. And another thing; don't use WTF. Use WTC. It makes you sound more like a true Homestar Runner fan.

Strange Storyline

Another possible Negatory level reference?

I'm not adding this to the item page, but if someone can verify what I'm remembering and thinks it's useful, then add it to the "Real World References" for the Level -0 (Negatory) world. I seem to remember that in the original NES Metroid, with just an autofiring controller (ah, NES Advantage, we had good times, yes?), you could get wedged in a door, then collapse/expand rapidly and climb up through the wall. If you did this on one particular door, you would go up into a very strange and frankly hazardous area that was all messed up (sounding a lot like that lost Sonic level). It was easy to get stuck, and I don't think any of the doors worked properly. Anyone remember what I'm talking about? If so, it's perhaps another possible reference like that Sonic world, with the advantage that no Game Genie or anything was required to get to it. -- DLR, Aug 3 2005, 1:00pm

The reference to Hidden Palace is dubious at best. Hidden Palace is nothing like Negatory World. The Game Genie version is such that the entire thing looks like nothing but static (since the HPZ graphics were removed from the final cartridge) and the Sonic 2 Beta version is not glitched, just unfinished. I do think it may be a reference to Hidden Palace, because there are screenshots of it. They do look similar to -0. In both versions, the level is incomplete, but in the beta ROM which I have, the graphics are not messed and it is easier to play. I still like to think that Level -0 is a reference to the 'Glitch City' bug in Pokémon Red/Blue versions. The randomly generated graphics are similar, as is the ability to defy the game's physics (example: Stinkoman can stand on the air at the beginning of the lever, and you could Surf through solid objects in the Glitch City bug). Also, there are many points in Glitch City where your character could become trapped in a place that seems solid, just like the opening cut-scene where Stinkoman was stuck in the wall. TBC have made Pokémon references before (Cheatachu, anyone?), and the glitchy nature of the first Pokémon games are widely known. Now, I wouldn't go so far as to compare Ekersby with Missingno., but the parallels between Level -0 and Glitch City are very similar. But, with all that in mind, Super Mario Bros.'s Minus World was still the first thing to come to mind. Glitch City occurred to me just as soon as I started playing the level. --DorianGray

Ha! Good one! Anyway, COME is spelled C OME on that screen, not CO ME. And the music that usually plays on the normal, non-glitched version stutters frequently, or so it seems, because I seek-bar'd my way to that screen, and it stuttered like that. I don't really know, this is a real stretch. I remember when I was a kid I used to play this MS-DOS game callled: "Math Rescue". It was about numbers being stolen by these aleins called gruzzles, but you could take hits without dying if you had trash can lids, used as shields. Does that have relation to the Stinkomanuel? You have IE? Cuz then you have to add the Seek Bar for IE to your favorites. And you can't use it on the swf.

I have IE 5, Netscape 7, and Firefox 1.0.6 but on fire fox, I add it to my personal toolbar, and when I'm on the page, I click it, and it replies, once again, with "No scriptable flash on this page". I just moved the seek bar to the same position as the s in characters and all the music started playing, what looked like part of the object library was on the screen, and even part of the flash for ekersby sprites morphing.
