:Well, the article has listed "Sam and Max version of Hell" under "Places" since the very first revision. Also, while it's not explicit in the clip (bottom of the article), it's defintely plausible based on the skulls on the chair and what little of the background is visible that video. {{User:GreenHelmet/sig}} 13:25, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

::I made that edit, and they're definitely in Hell. Hell is a corporate office in Sam & Max. Also, alternate ending isn't really an accurate description for this short, because the event it's parodying happened halfway through the episode. {{User:Shwoo/sig}} 01:57, 10 September 2008 (UTC)

Revision as of 01:58, 10 September 2008

If we keep the article about this, we might have to transcribe every single toon and video that includes a Homestar character cameo. BBG 19:57, 24 July 2008 (UTC)

I agree. Despite the Telltale connection, a Sighting is a Sighting, and shouldn't go in the main namespace. --DorianGray 20:04, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
I don't think this is a good argument at all. Sightings consists almost entirely of non-canon appearances; i.e., references to Homestar Runner by others with no involvement from TBC. This, by contrast, seems to be legit TBC material. Heimstern Läufer 20:06, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
This is not just a fan-cartoon from someone trying to make a Homestar impression. This is Matt Chapman, in a game to be released from the same people that are making SBCG4AP (and it looks like an Easter egg in the game, but I'm not sure about that. This is not a good argument, but if we drom this, we should also drop Strong Bad Gameways. It's on the same level. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 20:11, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
I understand the notability now and am leaning towards keep. BBG 20:19, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
I think a better comparison would Where The Crap Are We?, which was an Easter egg for Macromedia. As long as it is confined to the Homestar cameo, I have no problem with keeping the article. wbwolf (t | ed) 20:34, 24 July 2008 (UTC)
Since there's no more opposition, and it's clearly canon, I removed the TBD templates. Elcool (talk)(contribs) 18:28, 25 July 2008 (UTC)

Just so you guys know, that was the full clip that IGN showed, not just a sample. The "Alternate Ending" was just a hidden easter egg on the disc, not a full short or anything. So, the note on the front page which says "The full version of this alternate ending will be included on the Sam & Max Season Two Collector's DVD," should probably say something else. To clarify -- the alternate ending transcribed here will definitely be on the Sam & Max DVD, but what appears on the disc is exactly what was shown by IGN in their article.

Hell?

I know nothing about this, so i can't check it. is this edit legit? — Defender1031*Talk 08:22, 22 August 2008 (UTC)

Well, the article has listed "Sam and Max version of Hell" under "Places" since the very first revision. Also, while it's not explicit in the clip (bottom of the article), it's defintely plausible based on the skulls on the chair and what little of the background is visible that video.  Green Helmet 13:25, 22 August 2008 (UTC)
I made that edit, and they're definitely in Hell. Hell is a corporate office in Sam & Max. Also, alternate ending isn't really an accurate description for this short, because the event it's parodying happened halfway through the episode. I realise it says "alternate ending" in the short.
