Wherfore art thou Cory?

Oughtn't Cory to be a Running Gag? A cursory search turns up:

Main Page 22: An Inside References to That A ghost. Not legit.

Diapers

I think diapers should be a running gag or an Inside Reference. A search shows that diapers (especially diaper school) is on H*R eight times. Salty^Talk! 03:34, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

I hate to make this an issue, Bubsty, but this is a good example of the problem with replying to discussions that have passed their expiration date. You thought you were pointing out that this discussion was way after-the-fact, thinking the page had been around for several months before the discussion. In fact, it was the other way 'round; the page was created after the discussion—as a result of it—and the only thing on this page that postdated the creation of Diapers was your edit. So rather than pointing out the untimeliness of others' discussion, you in fact created it. —AbdiViklas 04:50, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

Style

I find it hard to believe that there's no mention that the word "style" is often used. I know there's more, but a quick few instances I can think of off the top of my head are Price Style, Sample of Style, Styles upon Styles, "Strong Bad gots the Style", "stylish jig", "you can't handle my style, no you can't handle my style", "Get out of here, Nebulon! No one likes your style", Uncle Strong Bad's Flavor Taste Style Chewing Powders, "The Cheat that it's the latest style!", Strong Bad's Buffalo Style Ranch, Hairstyle Runner... Crush on Marzipan?

My friend thinks that The Cheat has a crush on Marzipan and that that should be a running gag. Do you think that that is true? One example of this is in do over easter egg and there are many others throughout the strong bad emails.Sbdisciples 21:34, 7 April 2006 (UTC)

In do over we get to see The Cheat totally smothered in kisses. Either Marzipan is so stupid to think he was Homestar, or she's into a more open relationship that our family-friendly format would allow us to describe. Strong Bad's hair

In gimmicks, Strong Bad combs back what looks like hair coming out of a burnt hole in his mask. In marzipan Strong Bad quickly combs the top of his wrestling mask with a small pink comb. Perhaps A lesser gimmick currently of Homestarrunner is the fact that Strong Bad actually has hair beneath his mask. Should there be a page for this? Sbdisciples 04:57, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

Not really, since Strong Bad actually isn't wearing a mask. That's his head. --DorianGray

I beg to differ Dorian. Strong bad does not say that his mask is his head. Instead he asks Abdi Larue if he takes off his head. If strong bad's head is his mask and is gloves are his hands, how come in "In Search of the Yello Dello" he wears oven mitts. Do you have a spare pair of hands, I thought not. In the commentary for In Search of the Yello Dello Strong Bad says that the gloves were digitally added. If this is so, and Strong Bad isn't just being defensive, does Strong Bad take battle axe lessons and not where the shown thong on a stick. You tell me... Sbdisciples 13:21, 8 April 2006 (UTC)

In Search of the Yello Dello was a really long time ago, and not done in the standard style, either. Also, in disconnected, you can see the bottom of Strong Bad's head when he's rolling along--not well, but enough to see it's solid. I'm pretty convinced his mask is his head. Following that, the Brother Chaps have also said one of the emails they will never answer is "what do you look like without your mask on?", which, although arguable, is proof in my book. To round it out, he's also grown a very fine moustache, which'd be pretty hard to do through a mask. Finally, Strong Bad himself has stated that he has no hair. --DorianGray

Homestarrunner sings

What is with Homestarrunner and singing. It seems like every time he hears a song he sings it and he also likes to sing about bread. What do you think. These sightings contain: origins when he has his bread sing alongs, monument in the easter egg where he sings the thnikkaman song, bottom ten with the buttdance song,and The House That Gave Sucky Treats. Long legs

It is a running gag that in almost every Powered by The Cheat toon Strong Bad's leg gets long and kicks Homestar.

Coppin' a feel?

Is it possible that someone "a-Grabbin' mah butt" as homestar aptly put it, or "David Coppafeel"...ing... as marzipan put it a recurring joke of some kind? They both happened after the lights go out in an unexplicable manner, and, to my knowledge, these are the only two instances of blackouts Throughout the site. Anyone else think this? I'm Confused...

I think the question is, "why is the image on this page Homestar Running, when that isn't a running gag?" In short, there were too many edit wars about which image should be used, and so the generic Homestar Running image was used. Maybe some sort of MediaWiki extension (like HomsarQuotes) could be written to display a random running gag image, thus solving everybody's problems with the image. --ENUSY 22:55, 7 May 2006 (UTC)

Butt?

I think that the word "butt" appears a whole lot o' times on the site. Drummer19

Freaking and Sucks?

Are the words freaking and sucks running gags, seeing that they're used nearly as much as crap? --Sam Goldfish 14:52, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Crap is a running gag becuase it was so overused of a while on the site, that it's almost un heard off now. Can you provide similar info for those two words, and besides a long list of appearences have something to write about them? — Elcool ^(talk)_(contribs) 15:00, 8 July 2006 (UTC)

Unnecessary S's

It seems to like the unnecessary adding of an "S" to a word is a huge running gag on the site. I think it needs a page.

Some examples of Unnecessary S's:

• Be's
• kid's book: "Some people wears glasses. Beth looks like a dude."
• Senorial Day: "Hey there, every peoples!"
• for kids, The KOT's Good Gravy Easter egg: "I don't lets the Poopsmith near it!"

Those are the three I can think of off the top of my head. Put some more examples here if any of you guys think of any.
