SB-Homestar making up the lightning and thunder sounds is a reference to the
 [[Homestarloween_Party|first]] halloween cartoon where Homestar's speech was
 supported by real lightning. This could be seen as a first hint that this is in
 fact not the real Homestar Runner.

He picked the Cheat to help him.
He gave Strong Mad good points, even though it was total crap.
Several of the things that he said and did, like the way that he kept interupting the King, the way that he walked past the Poopsmith and several other things.

I feel like mentioning that I used to think it was more necessary to make this match Missing Lappy than vice verca, and the only reason I got so ticked when Missing Lappy was reverted was because they no longer matched.  I actually edited this twice before doing Lappy, though the first time was simply rearranging the Cast (order of appearance) section, which I'd like to know if anyone else minds if I change again, if I can't revise the whole thing. I really don't see how this is exactly the same as Missing Lappy. In Missing Lappy, Homestar doesn't even make it through one line before breaking the Marzipan voice, and he doesn't take on Marzipan's mannerisms either (i.e. I was wondering why Marzipan was acting like Homestar before the voice changed). In this toon, we have Strong Bad perfectly imitating Homestar for several minutes, including his mannerisms (i.e. the reference to Witches' Brew and the like). The true Strong Bad reveals himself as the ultimate winner of the contest. I think this would actually make sense that he would win, since he (though technically, it should be [[The Goblin]] dressed up as he), [[Strong Mad]] and [[Bubs]] are the only ones who did not get a bad prize (last, worst, etc.). I managed to carve that one year on a pumpkin. All you really need to do is leave a bit of pumpkin between the ankle of the bent leg and the straight leg. I secured it with pins so it wouldn't fall out, though.
