Someone removed the fact stating that the credits were clickable but activated no Easter Eggs, saying it's not true any more. They are still clickable and still don't produce any Easter Egg. Am I missing something? --Jay 18:56, 10 Feb 2005 (MST)

I just checked and it's not clickable. At least in the Jhonka-sized version. I'd suggest clearing your cache and trying again.

Last time I saw the Fun Fact, it made it pretty clear that only the 13.4 and Trogdor-sized files would click. Trogdor still clicks, so it shouldn't have been removed. I'mml go put it back up if it isn't already. --Shadow Hog 22:20, 10 Feb 2005 (MST)

Yeah, it was the Trogdor version I checked too (which I hadn't actually loaded EVER prior to checking out the removal of said Fact - I'd only seen mirrors, and the original). I noticed that the "Taken Directly From The Game" thing in fun facts has two problems. 1.) It is obvious to anyone who has played the game, and (most importantly) 2.) Some of the things on the list say (not actually in the game) or ", but that wasn't in the game." "The Jhonka is gray and grody. He's got a cromagnon forehead and jaw with a pair of wicked incisors. He sports an old loin-cheese cloth and carries either a big club or one of those roasted turkey legs you got at the Ren Fest."

[edit] My two cents on RWRs of maaaadness!

Okay, here go two RWRs which are...uh...yeah:

• Videlectrix Films seems to be a parallel to Square Pictures, a film studio created by Squaresoft (now Square-Enix) which only released one major movie, Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, based thematically on Square's long-running Final Fantasy series.
• Before the Videlectrix Films logo and near the ending of the film, there is a shot of a man fighting in silhouette against a blue sky with a sword in his hand and around the end, he is struggling with his sword. A similar scene is in Kill Bill Volume 1.

My thought on both of these is simply...."huh?" Firstly, I don't see any reason why Videl-etc. has to or even might refer to Square Pictures. Sure, they're similar, but Spirits Within, which I understand was the very definition of being in the uncanny valley, was entirely CGI. That was kind of the point. In order to be anything like Square Pictures, the Peasant's Quest film would necessarily have to be entirely pixel animation. As it is, it's a live-action movie based on a game. If anything, TBC were likely thinking of the SMB movie or perhaps some of the early 90's Street Fighter movies or something, but all of those were terrible. (Let it be noted here that I'm a Square dork and a Nintendork. I know game industry refs when I see 'em, and dis ain't one.)

Secondly, Kill Bill? Kill Bill?! Has whoever wrote that even seen Kill Bill?! The scene referred to is very distinct (and awesome), and consists of purely Kiddo and the Yakuza silhouetted against a one-color background. No scenery, no special effects. The scene in Peasant's Quest features Rather Dashing's sword making a lens flare, the moon, and a mountain. It is a takeoff of many, many, many silhouetted dramatic poses throughout cinematic history, and not any particular film.

Now, there's my rant. I'm not taking these RWRs out of the page personally without some concurrence, since it's a featured article, but Trogdor help me, I'm itchin' to. —Onamuji (b/w T. C.  ) 07:29, 6 July 2009 (UTC)
