:No, since Guaraldi did work for more than just Peanuts. {{User:MichaelXX2/sig}} 11:37, 24 September 2012 (UTC)

Ding! Peanuts is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

I'd like to put the image of Charlie Brown and Linus leaning against the wall from A Charlie Brown Christmas on the page to show the comparison. I found the image here[1], but I know jack squat about copyright policy and image uploading. Could someone please help me out? 16BitJorge 22:36, 26 April 2007 (UTC)

Dear Homestar Wiki

How do we know that Peanuts is the only comic in the world TBC reference when characters write letters? (The only other comic I can think of that does that is Calvin and Hobbes, but Peanuts also influenced them) Bad Bad Guy 01:44, 3 October 2007 (UTC)

You're talking about Decemberween Short Shorts, right? That's listed as a reference in large part because it happens at The Brick Wall, a reference to Peanuts... Trey56 01:48, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
They also list Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon, which is just Strong Sad writing in his room. (although I believe it uses an even more common format because it's a giant sheet of paper on the top of the screen as opposed to floating words) Bad Bad Guy 01:50, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
I see. I guess I'm not familiar enough with the letter-writing device in Peanuts to know whether that one's a reference. Trey56 01:53, 3 October 2007 (UTC)
Yeah. I'm a down-to-earth Peanuts fan. I know a Peanuts thing when I see it. They used Arbor day twice, and a Charlie Brown Christmas a ton of times. I love that. I was wondering if they even made an article like this. And it's odd how this is the only comic strip they really make fun of. And it seems like Strong Sad is just a fat and emo version of Charlie Brown. How no one likes him, and he has a round head, and he seems to wear the same shirt if he ever does wear one. --Pretztailfan95 21:30, 3 November 2008 (UTC)

Black smoke thing

Defender removed all references to it as "a common cartoon element", but didn't it originate with peanuts? That's notable, I think. -128.103.10.17 19:28, 14 February 2009 (UTC)
