Transcript

I claim the transcripting! Jedibob5 23:51, 19 September 2008 (UTC)

Go for it! Homestar-Winner (talk) 23:52, 19 September 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, it's done. Wasn't so hard, mainly because it's really, really short, but there's my first transcript. Jedibob5 00:14, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Play it Again, Back Button

Is this the first toon to feature a "Play Again" Button but no back button? 20X6 GEM 00:50, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Doubt it. Can't think of anything else off the top of my head, though.
Where would you go back to? The only way to reach this page is by typing the URL in directly. — It's dot com 01:00, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
I don't think it's notable one way or the other. Do we really need to make comments on the presence of "Back" and "Play Again" buttons? They are called Fun Facts, after all. ~That Guy Over There (User talk:That Guy Over There) 00:32, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
It's a first, so I added it. There, no more debate.That game dude386 00:34, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Hey! Put it back!!!That game dude386 00:37, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
I think it's worth noting, as it doesn't look like a typical "again" button like they usually do. It's set as a background item for most of the cartoon, and cannot be clicked. It blends in perfectly with the page, and most wouldn't notice it otherwise. --DorianGray 00:38, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
Good point on it being inconspicuous. I'll change the fact into an Easter Egg. Gimme a sec...That game dude386 00:42, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
As a H*R first, I say that the Play Again/Back button relationship is worth noting. Please revoke the deletion. That game dude386 00:50, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
The buttons really have nothing to do with the cartoon. I have three "nay" votes - me, anonny, and It's Dot Com (if you scroll up, there's even a dispute as to whether it's a first at all). DorianGray, as far as I can tell, has only argued that the unique appearance should be noted, not the absence of a back button, and I'll agree with that. I see no consensus, however, that says it's notable that there's a "Play Again" button and no "Back" button. I say it stays off. ~That Guy Over There (User talk:That Guy Over There) 01:03, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
I think we should acknowledge the fact that the "Try Again" button serves as a replay button, but not as an Easter egg. I don't even think it needs to be a Fun Fact. I think it fits best in the transcript. How does it look there? Homestar-Winner (talk) 01:21, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Now that's the way to do it. ~That Guy Over There (User talk:That Guy Over There) 01:27, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Name that Inconsistency

How can we best mention "Name that Inconsistency" to link with Inconsistencies within the Homestar Runner universe, if at all? --DorianGray 04:53, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

I added it on there. I put the best i could think of. If anyone changes it I'm fine with it.

Flash File

veiwing the html file gives me the 404'd page, but the flash file works Dr. Savage 23:28, 20 September 2008 (UTC)

Both work fine for me. OptimisticFool 23:38, 20 September 2008 (UTC)
ok, both work now. (too lazy to log in) 75.58.18.125 18:03, 21 September 2008 (UTC)

Camping out

Camping out while waiting in line is a real practice of fan clubs, usually done while waiting for a major event (e.g. a major movie release, major sporting event, or for certain products, such as video games).

I removed this because I don't think it really needs to be explained. Between all the examples listed, surely people are familiar with this practice. — It's dot com 16:44, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

I disagree. It was my understanding that we have long since abandoned the idea of not explaining references hust because they're TOO well-known. I'm not even entirely convinced that it's famous enough to reasonably expect the majority of people to get it. — Defender1031*Talk 17:54, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

It WAS new, wasn't it?

Why was this never featured on the "What's New?" Menu on the front page? I found it by accident suspecting something like the "not email 100" thing was available. Also, don't these qualify for being secret pages? —NFITC1talk 17:19, 22 September 2008 (UTC)

Name change from "Page Load Error" to "NOT the 200th Email!"?!

I remember that the sbemail teaser page for email 100 was called "NOT the 100th Email!", should we do the same here?

-70.244.112.226 17:32, 22 September 2008 (UTC) (Everybody! , who forgot to $%#^&@* log in again...! >:( )

That was because that's what the Page title was called. This page's title is "Page Load Error" so we'll leave it at that. —NFITC1talk 17:34, 22 September 2008 (UTC)
