Okay, should this page be organized somehow? The Halloween Costumes page is organized by year, but that doesn't seem to fit for this page. Maybe by character? --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 16:58, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)

That will probably end up being the way it's done, yeah, by character. I don't code too well, so that'll be somebody elses job. No Parking

Should We include "Stoppy" "Poppy" and "Ryan S."? I vote Yes.

Your page. I say, if we're going to keep this page, we might as well do it right. I just filled in everything I could think of (no pictures yet though.) --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 17:08, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Woah. Images = absolutely horrible. Ridiculously huge pictures aren't great for slow computers and browsers. Let's set a standard for these images. What do you think would be best? —FireBird|Talk 17:45, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Maybe whatever standard is applied to Halloween Costumes would be good for this page. I love the idea, by the way. Are we going to include alternate outfits that aren't really "costumes" (like Homestar's #1 shirt or the Ghostbusters stuff?) BTW, I don't think that the Decemberween characters should be on this page. They already have their own pages, but if you wanted to consolidate, it might be worth making a separate Decemberween Costumes page. Aurora the Homestar Coder 17:50, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
I was using images that were laying around on the site for some of them (The Sad Clown Dog, Rides Place Mascots, Dumple, Tito.) The bubs pictures look awful, I agree. Does putting them in |frame| help on DL speed or do we need to shrink them? I don't know how to deal with the Bubs costumes though. The Racket and the Baby Rattle and the Pitchfork (which I didn't get in the shot anyway) are all a part of the costume, really. No Parking 18:49, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
You could just reduce the image size, either through a paint program or by specifying the pixel size in the table. Aurora the Homestar Coder 18:54, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I think this looks a lot better now, but it just doesn't feel right to me. Each character's costumes come in a row, and it seems redundant to keep putting his name over and over. Maybe this would look better if they appeared in chronological order? That way all the Strong Sad costumes will be together and all the mascots will be together, all that good stuff. --Some HSR themed username 01:36, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Or maybe just group them in seperate charts for each character? -- Tony Stony 01:48, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I thought about that too, but it would be difficult with all of the pictures... --Some HSR themed username 01:56, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Well I don't know much about wikis, but couldn't it be possible to remove the "character" collumn, put a few blank line breakes between each section with different characters involved, and put in large bolder font on the top the name of the character? Instead of:
Homestar as x
Homestar as y
Homestar as z
Strong Bad as xx
Strong Bad as yy
Strong Bad as zz

would it be more practical to change to something like

Homestar
as x
as y
as z

Strong Bad
as xx
as yy
as zz

Sorry this was sorta a mess for this talk page..but I am inarticulate so a diagram had to suffice -- —Tony Stony Talk | Edits 18:52, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I have to admit, I like this page. Good Jorb. I do think it needs a better name. Wikipedia uses "List of..." , but that was before the category system. Ideas? - Dr Haggis - Talk 05:46, 16 Jun 2005 (UTC)

There are more costumes in Malloween Commercial. E.L. Cool 18:36, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)

I think that the costumes in Malloween Commercial would count as Halloween Costumes. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 18:46, 17 Jun 2005 (UTC)
you know i liked what djm1791 did --210.213.231.149 04:45, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Which characters?

Where do we draw the line on which characters to include on this page? Is this only for characters in the 'real' HR universe? Or can we include, for examples, Reynold as Gunhaver; Fightgar as old lady; and Mr. Pitters as teen girl? —BazookaJoe 02:48, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

  • I would say "use common sense" but that never works. As for "the line": Obviously, we know to keep our costumes listed elsewhere out. Since the Goblin is listed on one of the Halloween costume pages, I would say we should let minor character costumes in. But then again the Goblin is "real" and "The Cheat Commandos" not so much. As for Mr. Pitters, I've given episode 9 a once-over and... Minor TGS Character, just one issue, dressed up only half the issue, drawn instead of "real" I don't think I'd put him on what might be a long page. I think we can skip that one.

Reynold as Gunhaver -- Yes. Fightgar as Old Lady -- Funny stuff yeah.

You da boss. I'll throw those in when I am motivated. —BazookaJoe 21:16, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Come to think of it, I don't think The Cheat Commandos have a place on this page if Teen Girl Squad doesn't. It seems to me that CC and TGS are in the same category, that is, a fictional cartoon created within the realms of the HR universe. I don't want to leave out Mr Pitters, Cheerleader with an elephant head, and So and So as a gloomy keyboardist, while including Reynold and Fightgar. In my opinion, this page should be confined to just the 'main' characters. —BazookaJoe 22:49, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)
