tell me who reased it and why.  there was no reason to erase it.  it was good.  if no one believes me, i'll upload screenshots of the master sword and coach z's sword.  then you'll all know i was right.

Ding! Nintendo is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

Contents

Up, A, and Start

The following item was removed due to discussion at Talk:keep cool#Up, A, and Start. Nevertheless, even if it's not true, it probably bears some connection to Nintendo, so I figure it should at least be preserved on this talk page. Trey56 23:30, 1 August 2006 (UTC)

  • Email keep cool — Strong Bad advises swimmers who have recently eaten to "press UP, A and START before reentering the pool." In Metroid, The Legend of Zelda, and Zelda II: The Adventure of Link, the game's progress can be saved by pausing (pressing "START") on the first controller and simultaneously pressing "UP" and "A" on the second controller.

Pulse Interview

Not notable on the article, but I'll mention it here - in the 2003 Pulse interview, Matt says, in Bubs' voice, "There was this one time when I hooked up my lawnmower to my Nintendo. And after that, I got the high score every time!" That's among my favorite quotes, I think. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 21:45, 6 November 2006 (UTC)

Note: Qermaq has since added the fact to the article because the majority of people asked on IRC agreed that it was notable. Loafing 00:16, 7 November 2006 (UTC)

Tingle

Tingle is in various Zelda games, not just Majora's Mask. He also appears in Four Swords Adventures for example. Retromaniac 04:55, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Majora's Mask was his debut, however (unless I'm mistaken). --DorianGray 04:50, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
He was in Link's Awakening and Ocarina of Time. Retromaniac 04:55, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Not according to Wikipedia. --DorianGray 04:57, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
Hmm... could be a good point. Does Tingle float from a balloon in other (pre-October 2005) games? Also, note that one of the choices he gives Homestar is "THAT'S A LOT! A LOT! A LOT! A LOT!", a quote from Majora's Mask. Trey56 04:51, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
In his Super Smash Bros. Melee appearance, he uses a balloon on the Great Bay stage (a stage based on Majora's Mask. =3 ). --DorianGray 04:54, 30 March 2007 (UTC)
I say, let's keep it in the N64 section since the quote is from Majora's Mask. Also, as DorianGray pointed out, that was his debut. Trey56 04:59, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

As a fan of the Zelda series, I can say that Tingle floats on balloons in most of his appearances - which do not include Link's Awakening or OoT as he is not in those games. However, it does include Oracle of Ages, which is pre-2005. And Four Swords. Oh, and Four Swords Adventures. All of those predate Potion-ma-jig. I don't think he is actually seen on a Balloon in Wind Waker, though. --Jay (Talk) 05:57, 30 March 2007 (UTC)

Tingle wasn't ever seen on a balloon in Wind Waker, but, one of the items you could buy from him using the Tingle Tuner was a

balloon that let you hover for a bit. CaptainN 04:20, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

I'm almost positive Majora's Mask is his debut. I've played all the games up to Majora's Mask, and none of the games thereafter (yet), so as far as I know, MM is the only game he's in.--Antisexy 04:28, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Majora's Mask is his debut, and he's been in Oracle of Ages and Seasons, Wind Waker, Four Swords Adventure, and Minish Cap, not to mention Freshly Picked (Tingle RPG), Tingle's Balloon Fight, and his cameo in Smash Bros. Melee. CaptainN 04:58, 12 August 2007 (UTC)

Gameboy?

Can we have have an article only about the Gameboy? User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man

Tetris

What can we do about Strong Bad mentioning Tetris in from work? Retromaniac 23:10, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

You all know my two cents: It belongs no where on the page. It's available for many other systems, including Sega systems, cell phones, and the video iPod (Also other iPods running iPodLinux or Rockbox). I mean, if Strong Bad says "Resident Evil 4", are we gonna put it under the GameCube section, even though they successfully ported it to the PS2? So... keep it off is what I think we should do. Meh. Bluebry 23:12, 9 April 2007 (UTC)

Diddy Kong

I moved Diddy Kong to SNES, but Diddy Kong was featured in two games on the Gameboy Classic: Donkey Kong Land and Donkey Kong Land 2. Awexome Cross 21:24, 16 July 2007 (UTC)

Videlectrix-- the REAL thing...

I haven't seen anything posted like this, but...

I checked out Wikipedia's "List of Home Video Game Consoles" page....

Look in the second generation. There's something called the "Vectrix."

Interesting... — 24.126.132.146 (Talk | contribs) 02:11, 8 August 2007 (UTC) (left unsigned)

Ah, the sweet, sweet Vectrex — The Brothers Chaps (probably) have one of these, by the way. I think it's a coincidence, unfortunately. Videlectrix is probably more of a portmanteau of "video" and "electrics" with an "x" thrown in for good measure. Interesting observation, though. Trey56 03:16, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

grabbo/mega arm

Should it be noted that the grabbo-arm looks a lot like and acts like the maga arm?(The mega arm was one of nintendo's last inventions before making video games) Slipknot6477 20:56, 9 May 2008 (UTC)

Bowser on Gameboy

There is not a single Gameboy game where Bowser is a boss despite the fact that Tompkins says he has Bowser on the Ropes as he is playing Gameboy should that be on the page Boog20X6

However, Bowser does appear in Game and Watch Gallery games for the GameBoy, which is why the mention of this was removed. --DorianGray 19:16, 10 July 2008 (UTC)

But the Game and watch Gallery did not have any bosses like Bowser Boog20X6

True, but there are several explanations for this. "On the ropes" doesn't necessarily mean a boss. The Brothers Chaps were just unaware that there are no traditional Mario games with Bowser for the GameBoy. Or any number of reasons. --DorianGray 19:22, 10 July 2008 (UTC)
