It's not a death metal song. Listen to some death metal like Morbid Angel or Deicide and you will note the differences. Both of those bands are extremely easy to find on the internet.

That's simply the style of the band as described in death metal. Sure it's probably tamed considerably for the site, but it's still supposed to be death metalesque. Thunderbird 01:07, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Yeah, but none of the songs in death metal were death metal either. The song in the video was actually nu-metal (mallcore) like Slipknot or something. TBC went down considerably in my estimation after that steaming hunk of poo. Moving Very Slowly sounds like thrash/heavy metal, as per Master of Puppets-era Metallica. Nothing death metal about it whatsoever.
"Thrash/heavy metal" is a generous way of putting it; the fact is that Taranchula sound like stoner metal and not a THING like thrash, death, or traditional heavy metal.

This song was released before the death metal e-mail, so they could have made a thrash song before being a death metal band, or do both. There are plenty of bands that make songs outside of their genres. Either way, Moving Very Slowly doesn't sound like death metal at all. The vocals seem to be a parody of James Hetfield (of Metallica). Swimma Dan 02:06, 27 June 2006 (UTC)

It's not thrash metal either, it's definitely something more on the doom metal spectrum, like stoner metal.
Does anyone else really find the beginning of this song similar to Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name Of"? Just saying... Vol Chem, 1st Tile of Ical 08:01, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

First Few Notes

They sound a lot like Killing in the Name by Rage Against the Machine. 01:28, 4 April 2011 (UTC)
