Not sure the best place to put this, so I'll put it here.... since H*R deals with a lot of parodies and references to various TV tropes, could it be possible to have a quick link to TVTropes? That might help cut down on the "this reference could refer to this or this or that. 23:33, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

There are a lot of talk page discussions happening on this wiki. The problem is, this wiki is not very active, so such discussions rarely get consensus and very few things get done. (That's why I'm with a phrase like "I still agree with this.") In wake of the fact that Fourth Wall Breaks and Nintendo need cleanup and Date Nite's Commentary Transcript has been left incomplete for nearly 2 years now, should I make a template and a category for Featured Articles that no longer deserve such titles? I already have some gewd ideas for template pictures. 18:42, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

::Wording would basically explain that the article needs improvement before it can once again "highlight the fine work of the Wiki", and the picture would be the pumpkin pie (unless the "worst" ribbon is too harsh, then it will be Strong Sad's Self Portrait in Late October). If that's too similar to the cleanup template, it could be invisible like no-image. I just think we need to separate articles that no longer highlight our fine work from those that do. 18:59, 12 February 2009 (UTC)

I've always wanted to ask this, but why do we spend hours a day working on improving articles when almost 10% actually read the articles?? I guess it's good for something like a youtube video or something like that but is there some wiki inspector that comes along some time in 2009 that we're preparing for? Or is this all just for fun? :Ten percent of what? A far greater number of people read the articles than edit them, and even longtime editors still read articles for enjoyment. 5) Could y'all please tell us what email The Brothers Chaps have?
-
:Three days? Wow, that would be extremely ambitious considering all of the customizations we make to the software, not to mention the fact that we developers have day jobs. Ever since we began doing upgrades the way we currently do, our record for upgrading after an official release is just under two weeks, set back when 1.8 was released. In all other cases it's taken us around two or three months (and that's not even counting the fact that we completely skipped 1.7, 1.10, and 1.13). With each upgrade, I have refined the process so that I have less to do each time (for example, by moving things out of the core code and into hooks, or by submitting a patch so that a custom feature or fix becomes standard), but some things are just intricate and have to be done manually (like autopipe). I had been making preparations in advance of the official 1.14 release, so hopefully it won't take too long, but just in case you weren't planning on keeping your pants on, I'd advise you do so. — It's dot com 00:30, 26 February 2009 (UTC)

Also, make constructive Wiki edits (that means not vandalism, with or without scare quotes), not just Talk page chatter. Basically, you need to start over completely and pretend you are not and were never you and do not care about you - and that doesn't mean to insult yourself, it means do not mention yourself. Wow, you Americans really are crazy about St Patrick's Day. Anyway, this sudden colour change got me thinking; is it possible to program into Preferences the ability to change the default colour in which users see the links? That way, you could have everything in green throughout the year! Or any other colour you'd like! Each user would be able to further customise their account, aside from changing the skins. I remember that you did just this with the TaviStyle skin after THAT April Fools incident. And I think you would still be able to override everyone's settings on holidays if you really wanted to. (Speaking of which, I just hope this year you aren't going to change everything to white. That would just be annoying.) 17:47, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

::Thank you, It's dot com! It seems a bit difficult to do though, because you need to know the special codes for each colour you want. I've noticed that there has been a bit of inconsistency regarding the capitalization of the word "the" in character's names (The Cheat, The Poopsmith, The Umpire, The Grape Fairy, etc.). So I ask you, are there any established rules about this? Are certain characters' the's supposed to be capitalized, while some are not? [edit] Discussions

There are a lot of talk page discussions happening on this wiki. The problem is, this wiki is not very active, so such discussions rarely get consensus and very few things get done. (That's why I'm always reviving old discussions with a phrase like "I still agree with this.") I think there should be some way to keep track of all the ongoing discussions. Maybe a HRWiki:Discussions page or something to keep these discussions from becoming inactive. Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 01:37, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

[edit] Some questions we would like to ask about...

Hi there, I'm a stranger who wants to ask you some questions.

1) When will ALL the old Flash pages turn to HTML5?

2) When are you going to UNBAN IP addresses who "committed" persistent vandalism?

3) If Flash is dead, are you going to cancel HomestarRunner.com ?

4) Why wouldn't we see ANY updates from 2011 to 2014?

5) Could y'all please tell us what email The Brothers Chaps have?

--83.185.35.154 18:37, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

1) We don't know. Ask the Brothers Chaps.
2) Never. Why should we?
3) You'll have to be more specific as to what that means exactly. We aren't involved with homestarrunner.com, so we can't take down someone else's website. And The Brothers Chaps are planning to give the site a HTML5 update, so they won't take it down.
4) Kids, creative burnout, side projects, etc. See HRWiki:Hiatuses for more details.
5) Their email address used to be brotherschaps@homestarrunner.com, but it was removed from the site's Email page, so it seems @StrongBadActual is now their primary contact method.
Hope this helps! Gfdgsgxgzgdrc 22:33, 30 August 2019 (UTC)

Look, I'm not sure what your issues are, but the simple truth is that the best thing for you to do is behave like someone who has never even heard the name "Maudi Algabban" (we are not fooled, we know who you are) and has literally zero curiosity about the name or the user's history, while also showing no particular interest toward all the things you show far too much interest over (such as the Pyongyang reference, the hiatuses, and the possibility of homestarrunner.com being taken down) and never, ever, even for a moment, even consider writing loud yelling, swearing posts demanding people unblock you and give you answers to questions we have no way of answering. Also, make constructive Wiki edits (that means not vandalism, with or without scare quotes), not just Talk page chatter. Basically, you need to start over completely and pretend you are not and were never you and do not care about you - and that doesn't mean to insult yourself, it means do not mention yourself. You've built up far too much bad karma, so it's very likely that even the slightest hint that you are you will be treated with immediate suspicion, and likely result in further blocks. And if you think this is unreasonable, perhaps what you really need to do is to find a way to end your obsession with this Wiki. You've been pulling these bizarre stunts for literal years. --Jay v.2020 (Talk) 23:50, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
I must tell you all that I'm NOTHING but a stranger, but if you would like to send some ANGRY emails to him, his email address is -redacted- . Maudi MUST be punished and he's WAY the worst contributor on Homestar Runner Wiki! LET'S GET HIM!!!! --83.185.35.154 23:57, 30 August 2019 (UTC)
