If we're not going to include those two, then "sometimes additionally replacing parts of the words with synonyms" should probably be removed from the intro. But then again, if we're not going to include those two, then this probably doesn't even have enough appearances to merit having the article at all. --Vlad 18:38, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

I think it's a valid running gag, but there are more instances of it, and someone should probably go through the emails 'n' such to find them. Just off the top of my head, "cutting art, state of the edge" from haircut. If I had time I could come up with more. So makey outy 23:08, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Well, I belive that this page should be merged with Deliberately Poor English. I'll try to come up with a better opinion later. Mario2.PNG Super Martyo boing! 23:11, 2 June 2007 (UTC)
Do we have an article/section for spoonerisms? I think those are very similar, and perhaps the title of the article should be expanded to include them. Also, more characters than Strong Bad should be included, if there are others. If enough instances can be found, we won't need to merge it with anything. I'll make that my until-my-parents-kick-me-off-the-internet-for-the-night project. 67.161.21.65 02:08, 3 June 2007 (UTC) (oops, forgot to sign in. So makey outy 02:10, 3 June 2007 (UTC))
No page yet, but several occurances [1]Loafing 02:11, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Well, so far we have four spoonerisms: "tact and professionalism" to "pact and trofessionalism" in underlings; "cellular telephones" to "tellular celephones" in technology; "Strong Bad Math" to "Strong Mad Bath" in privileges; and "Smoot-Hawley Tariff" to "Hoot-Smalley Tarriff" in Ballad of the Sneak. And so I don't forget, I quit for the night at geddup noise. I'll be back tomorrow. So makey outy 06:19, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Another one: "tabs and flaps, flabs and taps" from pop-up book. So makey outy 06:56, 14 June 2007 (UTC)
"Tai Chi" and "Chai tea" from the Strong Bad is in Jail Cartoon commentary. So makey outy 04:55, 15 June 2007 (UTC)

Add spoonerisms?

Since they don't have their own page, i think they would belong here, as spoonerisming is a specific kind of jumbling. — Defender1031*Talk 19:39, 4 June 2007 (UTC)

Clean Up

I think this page is a little messed up we need to clean it up. The-homsarrunner 14:48, 24 Dec 2007 (UTC)

What exactly is wrong with it? it looks perfectly well-organized to me... — Defender1031*Talk 00:17, 25 December 2007 (UTC)
I do not really know but i think it could be layout better or some better formating. Something just seems messed up with it. The-homsarrunner 00:30 25, Dec 2007 (UTC)
If you can't be more specific, there's nothing that can be done... it WOULD look better with a picture, i'm about to upload one. Maybe THAT'S what's bothering you? — Defender1031*Talk 00:32, 25 December 2007 (UTC)

Confusion

Would Becheive to Alieve be classified as Jumbled words, or portmanteaus? I'm kinda confused. Stark Traurig 22:38, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Actually, they're spoonerisms. --DorianGray 22:40, 28 January 2009 (UTC)

Music-free commercials

In this case, I think that the joke is that the Deathly Pallor actually means that he plans on playing music-free commercials. This is still an inversion of the normal phrase, of course, but does intent matter? --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 21:04, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
