:Exactly! The article should ''totally'' say something else than "The exterior of the building has yet to be seen (...)."! The Brothers Strong live in a gray house! :D

Revision as of 20:09, 15 May 2008

Ding! House of the Brothers Strong is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

Contents

Parents

It says they might live with their parents, but I think "Parents" are only mentioned in Strong Bad Emails "The Facts" and "Origins" and in the toon "Homestarloween Party." -Amy Whifflepoof

So... what's the problem? Aurora the Homestar Coder 20:00, 13 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Between floors

Well, I got the following screenshot from Sbemail_150?!? that shows the floor/ceiling between floors. I can't quite interpret it though. Crawlspace? Or is the blue thing a window? Trey56 14:37, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Too small to ever be anything important, it looks like just the space between floors, which is usually a good foot or so thick. Thunderbird 16:40, 27 March 2006 (UTC)
Or could it be the true meaning of Decemberween? ;) Trey56 17:17, 27 March 2006 (UTC)

Basement Access

The article says that the basement is accessed from the left of the computer room when facing the computer. However, Strong Bad entered the basement from the right of the computer room in sibbie.

No, he exits the computer right, then we see him enter the basement from the left. We don't know what happened in the cut. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 23:25, 18 June 2006 (UTC)

Apartment?

Strong Bad may live in an apartment as he says in one of his scroll button raps: "I keep my buttons on scroll and all the ladies in check, did you find the spare key to my apartment yet? What." 00:55, 12 July 2006 (UTC) Alexzero77

That song's the only mention of an apartment on the site. If there was a shred of corroborating evidence, you might be on to something, but I'd write it off as Strong Bad's boasting. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 00:59, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Morning Routine

Watch the email morning routine. While in the basement, Strong Bad moves to the right in order to get to his computer. Meaning there's a second unseen route upstairs. (You could probably consider mile to be a part of this, since The Cheat makes Strong Bad go through the basement.) And even though we don't know what happened between cuts, It's unlikely Strong Bad did anything with a popcorn bucket over his hand. -WarthogDemon 07:12, 6 October 2006 (UTC)

Parents?

Where is it implied that the Brothers Strong still live with their parents? I don't see it anywhere. Except in the facts, and in that scene, Strong Bad also said that baby Strong Sad was sleeping. Shwoo 08:09, 6 December 2006 (UTC)

In Homestarloween Party, Strong Bad said that his mom helped him with his costume. --Trogga 21:46, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
But it's possible to help someone with their costume and not live with them.Shwoo 00:40, 3 March 2007 (UTC)
How 'bout, it's a throw away joke? As in, they did it to be funny, and they don't plan on using whatever little back story they created along with it. And Shwoo is right, even parents don't have to live with they're children in order to help them. Bluebry 00:42, 3 March 2007 (UTC)

Window in computer room

If you look closely at the image of the full computer room in the article of House of the Brothers Strong, there is a window missing. There should be a window with the sycamore branch outside (like in cheat talk), right? --Charlie Jr.

There's also a window in little animal, but they are probably running around in circles. I would assume that the window is behind the viewer's POV of Image:ComputerRoomFull.PNG, which is why we don't see it. —BazookaJoe 16:13, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Floor plan, anyone?

I've already done the first floor, and I can start on the basement right away. Let me know if you're interested.--Jnelson09 19:47, 26 March 2007 (UTC)

Computer Room layout.

If you watch the beginning of the first Strong Bad Emails DVD, he walks into the room from the left and the shag carpeting starts at the doorway, and the window, with the Sycamore outside is clearly visable. To the right we see Strong Sad peeking out of a purple room (apparently his). And in the animations extra, it shows that they may have intended to leave the hole on the right wall where Strong Bad's old computer blew him into Strong Sad's room. That change was probably never done (and the wall left solid) because Strong Bad in this scene is still using his old computer before it exploded. But it's not just a purple hallway since in the email One Step Ahead, it shows that outside of Strong Sad's room is the traditional blue walls and grey floor.

kitchen

I assume that there is also a kitchen in the brother's house. In “big white face” Strongbad baked two cakes. In “secret identity” Homestar makes hamburgers in their house and has the Poopsmith and the King over. In “jibblies2” Homestar makes a sandwich at their house as well. Strongbad had to get the pasta salad from somewhere in “old comics”. Also, Strongbad needs somewhere to keep all his potate bags seen in several issues. Same goes for his Swiss Cake Rolls. The Schenectady Crispies commercial from “labor day” was filmed in an unknown kitchen. It looks like Marzipan's but without the sink or the cookie jar directly over the counter behind the table. This could have been his kitchen. He is seen in the same kitchen in “part time job” where he is hiding from Homestar for an unknown reason. (In the hrwiki file for said email it states that this is Marzipan's kitchen, but that can't be true since the sink and the jar are missing but the cupboards are correct with the table for the mystery kitchen. Putting Homestar in there doesn't make it Marzipan's since it is a known fact that Homestar frequents both her kitchen and Strongbad's house uninvited.) It just seems to me a house is incomplete without a kitchen anyway. — Edwardgindel (Talk | contribs) 00:16, 19 February 2008 (UTC) (left unsigned)

Umm, we already know that. There's a page on it. User talk:Sam the Man Sam the Man 00:21, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

OK then I don't understand. This is an article about the various rooms found in the house. Sam says that they already know there is a kitchen, but the article that should contain info about it does not include it. Is there a reason for this? — Edwardgindel (Talk | contribs) 04:22, 19 February 2008 (UTC) (left unsigned)

I don't know what page sam is referring to, but anything about a kitchen would be speculation, as we've never actually seen it. — Defender1031*Talk 04:41, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Not that this necessarily adds anything, but I wanted to mention another instance of cooking that presumably took place in SB's house: Strong Bad made an omelette in Bug In Mouth Disease. Oh, and.. Strong Bad = Two words. Two different words. That are not one word. That are "Strong" and "Bad". OptimisticFool 05:48, 19 February 2008 (UTC)

Good point there about "bug in mouth disease". Also, Strong Bad must have kept the sour cream in the kitchen in the email "secret recipes". (And thanks for catching my repeated spelling error, too.) Also, where did Strong Bad keep his blender prior to email #71 "2 emails" when Homestar turned it into a time machine?

I would like to point out that the previous conversation happened prior to the announcement of "Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People" where we get to take a walk through the kitchen in his house for the first time.

Name (SBCG4AP)

In one of the SBCG4AP trailers Strong Bad refers to the house as The House of Strong. Given that this is an "official" TBC collaboration, the question then comes up: Have TBC ever used the name House of the Brothers Strong? If not, I believe that it's important for us to move this page to be more in line with The Chapmen's official naming. Flashfight 02:24, 14 April 2008 (UTC)

Our name is not wrong, as it's merely a description. It's very uncommon for a residence to even have an official name, so I'm inclined to think that Strong Bad was just being Strong Bad (House of Strong being a tough-sounding name like House of Pain) and not that TBC were necessarily intending to bestow an official moniker on the place. — It's dot com 02:44, 14 April 2008 (UTC)
