After removing half this page due to lack of relevence, I see that the little here isn't worth keeping. Why? Because unlike many other character relationships, this has no complexity at all. Homestar was the Fluffy Puff Mascot, and then Marshie took the job, hence, Homestar hates him. Unlike many good relationship articles, there is no clever writing by the Bros Chaps.--~ SlipStream 22:52, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Sam, my man, Think of the BIG PICTURE. It would be in the catagory "fluffy puff" and be called "Homestar Runner's Relationship with Fluffy Puff Marshmallows." Then, All I'd have to do to it is maybe refraise some things a bit. It would still be about a relationship, yet not with a character. Eh? user:haldo

i think that this could be a good article if the title was changed and things were rephrased, just like haldo said. even if there are more votes to delete it, we could atleast find a place to put some of this content if there isnt anywhere else on the wiki where it talks about homestar hating marshie. if there is, i m sorry haldo, but id hav to go with delete. --Acam30 01:41, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

I just added it today... can we get 5-8 more user opinoins before closing the poles? user:haldo 5 0r 6 for whether or not to deleete it or just change the name and refraise, and the other 3 or 2 for what to do then if we keep it....

Please, wbwolf, stop deleeting the last two sections. If you didn't hear, we were going to CHANGE THE NAME so it would no longer be about marshie. Besides, we could keep the "homestar advertising with marshie" section if we only had the ads with marshie in them.

Sure. It's not really a consolidated page. Is it about homestar and marshie? is is about homestar and whether he enjoys fluffy fuffs? is is about his appearances in the commercials? what is the scope of this page? Understandable....but when Homestar appears in or adverrtises ads that Marshie is in (other than being on every freakin' bag, i mean) in a way Homestar and Marshie are getting along. I'M SAYING WE SHOULD ADD THAT.

Why, sure... It's correct to say that this page was a bit random when I first wrote it. Now, I want to be more loyal to it's title, since as you said, It was a bad idea to make an article about a relationship with an item. They do get along sometimes, whether Homestar is advertising a commercial that includes Marshie or is really in the commercial with Marshie. Did I make myself clear?

Yes, and what you're proposing seems to fall outside that scope. In addition, reading back this discussion, you seem to be jumping from one idea to another as to how to convince us to keep this page. It seems to me that this is a case of you simply wanting to have created a page and not caring whether it's worthy or not, as long as your name is on it. I understand, and it happens a lot with new users. Be that as it may, I say this has gone on long enough. You are the only opinion out of 6 here that wants to keep it. BTW, I want you to know, that I understand where you're coming from, and appreciate it. You're trying to help the wiki. I know. And sometimes you want to help the wiki so much that you lose sight of what helping the wiki means, kind of like the pilots who get so fixated on their target they fly right into them. I know, and I understand. But don't get discouraged. Don't worry. Happened to me a lot in the old days. Don't get discouraged. When the new sbemail or toon comes out, create a page for a character or place, maybe even running gag that appears for the 3rd time. Sam the Man 15:57, 18 November 2007 (UTC)

You see, this is exactly the problem with having Relationship pages. Things get out of control and we end up creating incredibly minor articles such as these which have little depth or even content. The reason this page doesn't work is simple: both characters have only appeared in the same toon together twice (Mr. Shmallow doesn't count). Homestar hates that freaking marshmellow and that's it. Everything here is already mentioned on Marshie's page. There is an agreed concensis that only major and complex relationships should be kept. If we keep it, we end up setting a precedent in the future and we'll end up with dozens of pages like Strong Bad and Crack Stuntman's Relationship or The Cheat and Sterrance's Relationship.
