Ding! Homestar Runner is a featured article, which means it showcases an important part of the Homestar Runner body of work and/or highlights the fine work of this wiki. We also might just think it's cool. If you see a way this page can be updated or improved without compromising previous work, feel free to contribute.

I'm a-seriously thinking that this page needs a new Homestar image soonish, especially since the page is currently leeching its image from another website. --TheNintenGenius 18:54, 29 Sep 2004 (MST)

Sooo.. upload a new one! -- InterruptorJones 19:15, 29 Sep 2004 (MST)
Well if I had a good image handy, I would, but as it currently stands, I don't. I was giving a heads-up is all. --TheNintenGenius 19:58, 29 Sep 2004 (MST)

Research on telepathic ability

I have to say, I believe strongly that Homestar is one of few people in Freecountry usa that have telepathic abilities. If the intelect of these members of the comunity should ever increace, it would be all-h*** for the others. Any other propositions? --Thechamp 23:49, 22 Aug 2005 (UTC)

is it just me

is it just me, or is Homestar shrinking? has anyone else noticed this?

It's you. --Upsilon

If anything, he's gotten taller. He has a bigger cap and longer legs than he used to. Poopsmith Z

It's you.Did u get a bigger PC screen or something?--Gir007 23:28, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

I concur with Poopsmith Z. from an angle he DOES look a little smaller... but not too noticable. -Tothelimit66

Uh...

How come I don't see any mention or discussion about Homestar's arms ?!?!? It should say somewhere on his character page one of the following:

  1. His arms are invisible (the leading theory)
  2. He has no arms
  3. TBC left this ambiguous on purpose.

Acknowledged and added. I said that he has no arms (which seems clear enough to me, since otherwise he'd need sleeves) and left it at that. --Upsilon

Invisible arms? that's insane. clearly he has a form of basic psycho-kinetic ability that allows him to move objects around without arms.It uses 99 percent of his brain power which why he is so dumb as well.

It's always been my favorite theory that he has disembodied invisible hands that he controls remotely. But this is just wild speculation. --Upsilon
Personaly, I think it's pretty obvious he has no arms, and shouldn't be on here. →FireBird
I think he's telecanetic. Like you know, he imagines things to float, and he picks stuff up that way.

Armless in Santa Rosa, -User:CGNU_Grad PS: No, really I have arms... Homestar doesn't.

Telekinetic. --Jay 23:39, 27 Jan 2005 (MST)
I think it's purposefully ambiguous, but I'm leaning towards invisible arms, myself.

I think he, unlike his girlfriend, has no hands at all. In the In Search of the Yello Dello, Marzipan slaps Homestar, clearly showing her invisible hand's print, but Homestar has no such evidence

Why is everybody talking about this? It adds to the humor of the cartoon! It is like the cartoons Veggietales, in which the cartoon characters just have stuff float. Put it this way. If Homestar had arms would it really be as funny? -- Klaymation
I dont think guys, TBC left Homestars arms a mystery, for one they dont even know if he really has arms or not. And why over think something that most people dont even really want to know? Thats why they called it a

MYSTERY!!

Or it is only the viewers who cant see his arms. In the Email where Strong Bad learns us how to do the Deuce he actually sees HomeStar flipping him the bird, and in the commentary for Yello Dello he says that Marzipan has nice hands. - lord-z

Homestar has spiked battle marshmallows in Action Figure. But that has nothing to do with it. Homestar is just a dumb thingy jiggy Psycho abilities.(Not Psychokinetic, Psycho.)--Gir007 23:31, 13 February 2006 (UTC)

I think his lack of (visible) arms is ambiguous on purpose, but if I had to make a guess, I'd say he has no arms and has telekinesis. The reason I'm guessing this is because on more than one occasion, he's picked up 3 things at once, which would be impossible if he only had 2 invisible arms. CompGrl323 (talk · edits) 00:48, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Who's to say he only has two invisible arms, though? We can't see 'em. He could have 20 for all we know. --DorianGray 00:50, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Obviously he only has 2 arms. When he picks up 3 things, it's obvious he's cradling the first 2 with one arm and using the other to pick up the third. DeFender1031 01:01, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
I don't see how that's obvious at all. If you can't see the arms, you can't really verify whether there are two or more than two. There's been at least one case where he appeared to pick up and separately manipulate three items at once in a manner inconsistent with your theory. But the main point here is that, without some form of verification from TBC, all of this is speculation. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 05:35, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
Uhh... DeFender1031, regarding your edit summary: People from our planet aren't completely white-skinned people with bodies that defy logic in the way that Homestar's does. I'm pretty sure he's not human. --TotalSpaceshipGirl3 10:42, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
TSSG3, Uh, I know. It's a joke. Sewiously though, whenever homestar picks something up/manipulates it, it always moves in the same way it would if he had visible arms. DeFender1031 10:51, 19 March 2007 (UTC)
I still disagree that this is a conclusive fact. Check out time capsule's Remarks - Homestar holds a shoebox, opens it and separately pulls out a wig, all at once, and there's nothing in the motion of the box to suggest that he was cradling it in his arm (or placed it in the crook of his arm) while manipulating it. Not to mention a normally-shaped arm would not be able to lift the lid of the box and/or pull out the wig in the manner shown while also cradling the box in the same arm, due to a significant lack of flexibility. The circumstancial evidence suggests but in no way confirms that Homestar could possibly have more than two invisible arms, or that his ability to hold and manipulate objects is not via a set of limbs, but rather some sort of telekinetic ability. The point being that we don't know, and we are unlikely to ever know for sure because TBC are unlikely to explain it to us - just like how you shouldn't have to explain a good joke. You don't necessarily know (or have to know) why it's funny - it just is. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 15:24, 19 March 2007 (UTC)

Has anyone seen the Madness Combat series of flash toons where the characters all have floating hands and no arms, maybe that is the case with Marzipan, only hers are invisible. Thoughts?

he is telekenetic.. he shows that he can be smart(to some degree) when not using his telekenetic powers when he states Coulomb's Law to Strong Sad. User:Imdaman

I call for invisible arms..... i mean, if he has no ams, how does he pick up things? -Tothelimit66

As quoted in the DNA Evidence commentary, Homestar DOES have arms. TTTHBTHGF on you!

MATT: When Homestar picks up this glass and you actually see his—

MIKE: Evidence that his arms are invisible.

MIKE: Right

MATT: And not that he's telekinetic.

MATT: Yeah. That he actually has arms, but they're invisible. {pause} I love that "gross towel" immediately equals Coach Z.

Fixing links

I've fixed a TON of links to this page and I'm getting sick of it. Use the "What links here" link in the toolbox, that'll help you do it more quickly. Personally I think making the Homestar Runner (Flash cartoon) page was an idiotic idea because of all the links that would need fixing, but oh well. - Forteblast

I think it would have been much easier to disambig at the top of the page, like we do for pom pom/Pom Pom and interview/The Interview. In fact, taking a look at all those links, I think this would be a much better option. I know we have to fix Homsar (character)/homsar (email) and Marzipan (character)/marzipan (email) like we did the Pom Pom pages too. -- Tom 13:42, 18 Dec 2004 (MST)
Okay, I fixed Homsar (character)/homsar (email) (now Homsar/homsar) and Marzipan (character)/marzipan (email) (now Marzipan/marzipan). Now what to do with this page? -- Tom 14:15, 18 Dec 2004 (MST)
Okay, I'm totally thinking that we can move Homestar Runner (character) back to Homestar Runner and then only fix the "Homestar Runner" links that need redirecting to Homestar Runner (Flash cartoon). And we'd of course add a disambig note at the top of both pages. -- Tom 14:39, 18 Dec 2004 (MST)
Since nothing should intentionally link to a redirect page, all the Marzipan and Homsar links need to be switch back to their appropriate pages. - Dr Haggis - Talk 14:44, 18 Dec 2004 (MST)
Agreed. And the Homestar Runner (character) page has been fixed as I previously noted. -- Tom 14:47, 18 Dec 2004 (MST)

Blinking

Ever since I found a pause button for Flash I've noticed that, in most cartoons, Homestar blinks even when the cartoon is paused. I think it may have something to do with the "template" or whatever they use for Homestar in each cartoon, but since I don't know anything about the nuts and bolts of Flash (Can't you tell?), I don't know how to present this as interesting yet factual insight into the behind-the-scenes process. Any ideas? -- FortyTwo 21:04, 20 Jan 2005 (MST)

HRWiki:FAQ, number three. It's a bit of Flash called a sprite, I believe. It's a thing that keeps happening indefinitely. Marzipan does the same thing. -- Tom 23:19, 20 Jan 2005 (MST)
Thanks. If it's in the FAQ, it's just as well that I didn't attempt a poorly-thought-out fun fact on the subject. =) -- FortyTwo 23:31, 20 Jan 2005 (MST)
It isn't called a sprite, it's called a movie clip, and yes; it loops whether the animation itself is playing or not. Movie clips are often used for moving portions in menus.
Please note that this conversation occured four and a half months ago. And yeah, it really is called a sprite. -- Tom 22:42, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)
That's in Director, smartie. In FLASH at least, they're called movie clips.
It's noted that even Homestar's picture on the Bread Singalongs album (origins) blinks. This is probobly a goof. -GG Crono

Eyes...

Are two theories on Homestar's eyes really needed, let alone even one? I mean, four eyes? Come on. He's a cartoon character, not some physics-defying robot or something.

Actually, when I first realized how strange his eyes were, I thought he probably had four eyes. But now I've found evidence for both theories.

But with that logic, wouldn't it mean that Homestar also has two stars on his shirt? Chew on that...

Yes, he would. But that's not nearly as weird as the four eyes part. But I'm not saying its true in a cartoon sense, just in a logical sense. -- Joshua 11:01, 25 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Well I'm saying that the four eyes theory is just plain silly and on the verge of over-analysis. Common sense should just give us two eyes, since it's not even something that's as ambiguous as the arms issue.

Why hasn't the figurine cleared this all up. He's got two eyes -- Homeschool Winner 11:47, 12 May 2005 (UTC)

Yeah, and the Homestar Runner and Strong Bad Screensaver

What's the point in the hometsar's eyes bit anyway? it's just stupid. and that "strait on madness" puppet thing: well , IT'S PUPPET THING, NOT THE CARTOON! THAT'S THE BEST THEY COULD GET IT ON A PUPPET!!! i think that who section should be deleated, His eyes don't move, He hasn't got "4" eyes. He is just Homestar Runner! JEEZ! people take thingss too seriously.

Facing Left
Facing Right
I agree completely. This is simply ridiculous, peoples. --Spanky The Dolphin 23:10, 11 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Yah - and the latest entry on his eyes "working" like Micky Mouse's ears?! Okaay, everybody slow down and repeat after me: "This is a cartoon. Homestar is a cartoon character. We accept a certain degree of absurdity and don't analyze it to death." (now, doesn't that feel better?) --olda guy 02:04, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
But, you know, his eyes DO work like Mickey Mouse's ears... and there's nothing wrong with a bit of analysis of animation style :) Aurora the Homestar Coder 02:39, 13 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Well, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em: I fixed up the grammar and bullet list nesting a bit (forgetting to log in first), but this section could at LEAST use a rewrite for clarity. olda guy 01:06, 14 Jun 2005 (UTC)
Okay, the Mickey Mouse idea seems to be the best. Now all that needs to be done is to get rid of all the crap before it and allow reason to triumph. :P --Spanky The Dolphin 18:27, 15 Jun 2005 (UTC)

My theory is that you always see his eyes angled. I did a frame-by-frame search throw Old Intro 2 and watched his eyes movement. To not talk about Marshmallows Last Stand! There you see him directly toward the camera. And don't forget he was created as a children book character!!! ---81.230.154.89 19:03, 26 Jul 2005 (UTC)

How are Homestar's eyes handled in the 3D model (SBG4AP)? Would it be in any way relevant to the Homestar's eyes section of this page? -132.183.138.37 22:46, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

His head is pretty much always seen at the same angle as on the website, so there's little to add. --Jay v.2024 (Auld lang syne) 23:43, 10 December 2008 (UTC)

This may hold no relevance, but i've found that Homestar's eyes have a tendancy to flip directions, sometimes (quite often actually) just by blinking. I noticed that there is no mentioning of this odd phenomenon under the Homestar's Eyes section. Should this be added or is it completely irrelavant? - Opus the Penguin 21:25, 2 February 2009 (UTC)

Homestar as the King of Town?

Get this: If The King of Town is Marzipan's father as stated in the Old Characters Page, that would make her the princess. If the King dies, she will become queen, and if her relationship with Homestar works its way up to marriage, Homestar will be the new King of Town! Weird, huh? -- Homeschool Winner 05:39, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)

I suppose... but since it's questionable that the KoT has any real power, and since TBC have said in interviews that the idea that the KoT is Marzipan's father was long ago scrapped, this is kind of a moot point. --Jay (Talk) 07:11, 28 Apr 2005 (UTC)
Even if that did happen, Homestar would merely be the Prince of Town. Royal tradition states that "king" is superior to "queen", but the heir to the throne must be superior to the spouse. If the heir is a woman, her husband becomes the prince, not the king.--homestar3.14 13:19, 5 May 2005 (UTC)
I just felt like pointing this out. In Halloween Fairstival, the KOT shows an X-Ray of his heart, which leads me to be believe thatif Homestarrunner.com wasthe kind of cartoon that continues on previous episodes all the time (note-ALL the time) the KOT would probably be dead. Cheatachu72 18:40, 23 May 2005 (UTC)
Why the heck is this even here?! TBC already confirmed that Marzipan being he KOT's daughter was a scrapped idea. 20X6 GEM

More than two probl....I mean, arms?!

I've noticed in several of the emails, H*R seems to be manipulating more than two things at once. Either he has extremely nimble 'fingers' or he has three arms. Examples of what I'm taking about:

In the email "The Show", and Main Page 19, he is shown holding the microphone while shuffling cards. In the email "Time Capsule, he's holding his "time box", its lid, and the gross old wig at the same time.

I'm sure there are other references. All the 'armless' characters seem to be able to move things anyway. I refer to this as the "Vegetale effect" in which the characters without arms possess a limited telekinetic power that allows them to "grab" other objects. Am I just reading too deep into this? --NFITC1 02:48, 2 May 2005 (UTC)

  • Yes --unknown user
  • I've noticed this and I think it's definately worth noting. --mibluvr13 00:11, 13 May 2005 (UTC)

Actually, on the Larry/Mr. Lunt/Pa Grape commentary for Jonah: A VeggieTales Movie, it is revealed that the characters use "wire removal" to pick stuff up. -- Joshua

  • Hmm, I'll have to watch that. I usually don't listen to commentaries of movies. --NFITC1
  • You know, Homestar might just be holding one of the three things in his arm against his chest, that is if the thing about him having invisible arms are true. Or maybe if his presens can just pick things up, it would be more than just 2 things at a time. It doesn't necessarily mean he has 3 invisible arms, because that would just be crossing the line. -Homestramy20

This very fact upholds my theory of telepathic abilities. -Thechamp 03:17, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

Just thought I'd mention that this is already mentioned on Lack of Visible Arms. — Image:kskunk_fstandby.gif KieferSkunk (talk) — 07:25, 23 April 2006 (UTC)

On main page 19 he is (according to the invisible arm therory) he would be holding the mic agains his chest and he could be holding the wig with two fingers (inbetween the thumb and the index finger) and the ShoeBox in the other.--Soniku64 06:23, 8 December 2008 (UTC)

Plus, it's not that hard to shuffle index cards with one hand.--T3H_CH3K7_888 20:18, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Synchronization with Wikipedia

Wikipedia has articles on the Homestar Runner characters, which I personally think is a good idea. But it seems like those articles should be kept to the bare minimum of "encyclopedic" biography detail, and refer readers to the Homestar Runner wiki for more details. I'm using Homestar runner as a prototype for this, and have made a couple of templates (hrwiki to refer users to the HRwiki from Wikipedia, and biowiki to refer users to Wikipedia from the biography section back to Wikipedia. In the wiki spirit of jumping in to push things forward experimentally, I'm going ahead and trying this out for the Homestar Runner character. If the masses do not hate the idea and want to use the templates for any more of the characters, or make the templates better, that's great...

(BTW, if you think that the things I migrated from Wikipedia into the homestar runner wiki are content of questionable value, I don't mind it being deleted...but I'd think that it certainly wouldn't have belonged in the Wikipedia in that case! Personally I think the entry here can be a little bit long and gossipy...)

STUFF fact

A running gag?

This item was accepted in STUFF, but the best place for the info is this article, which is why the info was added to the biography secion.

The Ah-tpoo! noise Homestar makes when spitting into the bucket has become a bit of a running gag. It starts in Halloween Fairstival with the noise he makes when he tries to hold his breath. It resurfaces again in "Montage" with his "Hi-Ya!" during the Champeenship scene. He performs another variation in "Radio" when he throws his highball glass at the radio. He exclaims "High-Ball!". (unsigned)

  • Decline I'm the one who moved it here. I hear a connection, but not enough to think that it was intended as a running gag by the Brothers Chaps. --FortyTwo 08:09, 29 Dec 2004 (MST)
  • Agree I am not a user here, but I agree with you. It really should be a running gag. You're welcome, Nate(Big fan of H*RWiki)
  • Agree I agree with this. I've never noticed this before, and it is indeed pretty fun to learn. -Hagurumon
  • Accept I noticed it to. --super oraaaange!
  • Revise and Accept I believe what the fact is TRYING to say is that Homestar uses the reverse emphasis on his action speech. For example, with "High-Ball!" from Radio, if one were winding up to throw a glass, one would exclaim, "High, BALL!" Instead, Homestar reverses it: "HIGH Ball.". He does the same in many of these two syllable action phrases. It's a character quirk that I think is straddling the line between obscurity and popularity, it's most definitely intentional, and it'll probably be back. --Noshtzy
  • Accept. Homestar likes using two-syllable exclamations. A perfectly okay fun fact. Who STUFFed this anyways??!? --Kerrek Slaya!
  • Accept, but move. If this is a character trait (and I think the consensus is that it is), it belongs either on Homestar's page or as part of the running gags, NOT on the Homestar Presents: Presents page - especially given the three previous references. --TheEggman 08:30, 17 Mar 2005 (MST)
  • Decline-pthoo I don't think two syllables with the same tone constitutes a gag. User: Lappy 486
    • Second. This is just another nuance of Homstar's speaking style. --Beatfox 22:02, 3 May 2005 (UTC)
    • Second. --Trogga 23:18, 5 May 2005 (UTC)
  • Decline It's just a sound effect :| -- AnarchyBalsac

Marraige

Do ya think that Homestar and Marzipan will ever get married? Or is she gunna finally just give up on him and move on... It would be weird to see Homestar actually wanting to get married... and by the way, how old is Homestar anyways?

TBC have stated that Homestar getting married would be when H*R jumps the shark, and I have to agree. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 19:03, 6 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Yeah but still... They could get married someday.. dont ya think??

Um, no. No way. They don't even have a working relationship. Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 20:57, 6 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Fine. Yeah, your probably right. But still, how old is he? And what do you mean by jumping the shark?

Nobody knows how old Homestar is. Jumping the Shark Homestar Coderhomestar-coder-sig.gif 21:21, 6 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Yeah. I know, just wish TBC would mention it somewhere, because its hard to tell exactly how old any of the characters are. Obviously not in there old age, compared to the KOT.

It isn't crucial to know how old Homestar, Strong Bad, etc. are. In fact, I would rather not know. They are cartoon characters. -BazookaJoe 22:05, 6 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Yeah, he might not even BE old enough to get married!! Its all just apart of our imaginations, its all part of the fun.Homestramy20 19:16, 6 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Well excuse me for wanting to know!

Homestar does so have a working relationship with Marzipan. She just breaks up from time to time so she can demonstrate her independance, and then hooks back up. It's probabally because he's the best choice around.

Well... Whatever his age is, it's probably 21 or older, considering a "Cold One" is an alcohalic beverrage and Homestar has been seen drinking them. 20X6 GEM

The cold one is an alcoholic beverages. But it has never been stated that Free Country, USA follows the same laws as the rest of the world. It doesn't even seem like Free Country, USA has a law system at all. All of the characters could probably drink alcohol since they were a teeny baby. Teh_Frossty_One

Personally, I think that at least by 20X6, they're married. Their kids are Marzichan and 1-Up. Just stating what i think. Homfrog 23:17, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Speaking Impedament

So if Homestar has a speaking impedament, you would think he would of gotten it fixed by now? -Homestramy20 12:22, 7 Jul 2005

It's not an impediment so much as a style of speech or a dialect, like the famous "Southern Accent." Therefore, it's not something that can really be "fixed." small_logo.pngUsername-talk 15:29, 7 Jul 2005 (UTC)
However, in one of the puppet jams, Homestar openly admits that he has 'trouble' with his 'r's. Sounds like an impedament to me. NFITC1

Well then if it were an accent, then wouldnt everyone of his freinds speak the same way?

That would usually be the case, but since we don't have all the details on how everybody ended up in Free Country, it is possible Homestar moved in from somewhere else. Keep in mind this is a cartoon, some things just weren't meant to be analyzed. small_logo.pngUsername-talk 20:48, 7 Jul 2005 (UTC)

Sega Homestar

I read something on the internet about sage making a console called the 'Sega Homestar'[1]. could this create a possible lawsuit or someting?-Ashley

This doesn't seem to be a legit webiste. And anyway, Sega can raise enough funds for a new console. And it would be more publicized. Rogue Leader / (my talk) 19:59, 19 Aug 2005 (UTC)

That's not a video game. It's a planetarium. And it's not Sega as in Sega Sammy Holdings Inc., it's Sega as in Sega Toys, a Japanese toy company. I don't think they are related. -- Tom 20:10, 19 Aug 2005 (UTC)

Why, not How

There are a lot of theories about how Homestar can function without arms. However, the real question is why The Brothers Chaps deprived him of arms in the first place. I have assembled three plausible theories to answer this question.

1. Mike and Craig probabaly thought that Homestar just looked good without arms. There is some merit to this; ever pictured Homestar with arms? I have, and it wasn't pretty.

2. He's called Homestar Runner for a reason. His lack of arms was probabally meant to draw attention to his long, well built legs.

3. There are a number of children's characters that, like Homestar, have no arms and little more than a pair of legs and maybe a head, such as those pom-pom like things in the Mc Donald's cast.

The Brothers Chaps mentioned an interview that they thought he didn't need arms as he was just a runner. Can't tell you which one it was though. —Zelinda 23:29, 19 October 2005 (UTC)

And, to extend the hypothesis:
  • Marzipan has no arms because she's Homestar's girlfriend;
  • The KoT has no arms because he was once intended to be Marzi's father;
  • Homsar has no arms because he's a derivative of Homestar. —AbdiViklas 04:41, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
I think mibluvr13's first theory also applies to these characters: picturing Marzipan, the KOT or Homsar with arms is not pretty either. Heimstern Läufer 04:46, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
BUT!! If Strong Bad didn't have arms to begin with, he'd look weird with arms. It's just what we're used to.--T3H_CH3K7_888 20:26, 4 March 2009 (UTC)

Has Anybody Noticed...

Has anyone noticed that whenever Homestar is nude, his entire body is pixilated? Any reasoning behind this?

Actually it's just his torso. Or do you mean, since he's male, why do they need to pixelate the entire torso? Well, personally, I don't want to think too anatomically about Homestar, or where exactly his "groin" area may or may not be. —AbdiViklas 04:44, 8 November 2005 (UTC)
There are a lot of weird physical body things on homestarrunner. They're all animal things. I'm not even sure if homestar is male or not... — talk Bubsty edits 03:29, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

Well, when it's a cartoon you never know where his 'genitles' are.--Familyguy

"Marzipan breaks up with him almost once an episode, they seem to patch things up in between."

I don't recall seeing them actually "break up" more than two or three times...

It's an implied breakup. --ISlayedTheKerrek 19:08, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

So what is really Homestar's deal?

The viewing of highschool has me scratching my head a little bit now about certain things involving Homestar, mainly the fact that he never seems to have grown up. Now, I know I'm probably reading too much into it, but ponder for a moment: could it be possible that Homestar is a) the oldest person in FCUSA opposite the King of Town, or b) a genetic freak? --ISlayedTheKerrek 19:10, 11 January 2006 (UTC)

There's really no telling with this guy. SaltyTalk! 02:58, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

Front View

Should this image be incorperated into that part about the front view? It looks pretty weird: Image:Kingoftownstoryboard10.PNG

I really think someone should upload an image like that from Marshmallow's Last Stand. That had a lot of front views. Personally, I am kind of unsure if we should use that one, because it is a sketch. Has Matt? (talk) 03:01, 13 January 2006 (UTC)

Bladder Problem?

I think Homestar has a bladder problem because he pees alot.--Ava

The only time I can think of where this happened was A Jumping Jack Contest. Can you think of any others? Has Matt? (talk) 15:55, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

Yeah I can think of others! The Luau, The House That gave Sucky Treats, extra plug, and URINE!--Ava

I just thought of those right now, but does it really deserve to be in the article? Has Matt? (talk) 16:00, 28 January 2006 (UTC)
No. I pee, just like Homestar, but it doesn't mean I have a bladder problem. And it certainly doesn't go in the character video transcript, Ava. —BazookaJoe 16:02, 28 January 2006 (UTC)

No telekinetic abilities. Just arms.

If you want something close to proof, look at the bird. But really, you're just analyzing it too hard. Look at his eyes on the picture in the upper left. They're clearly on the front of his head, with him facing diagonally. Notice that you can see the underside of the hat? Notice the mouth is seen from a diagonal angle? It's like an Egyptian painting. Yes, the puppet has the eyes on the side, but can't you tell that's just to make it work in real life? It's a cartoon, it's like Egyptian paintings, it doesn't have to be exactly like that in real life. There is no real life, in fact, so reality is simply what the creators intended. How can he flip Strong Bad the bird with telepathic abilities? It's like Pom-Pom's voice, they can understand it but we can't. The arms exist but we can't see them. His eyes are just eyes. </rant> Uh...Cwapface 03:05, 14 February 2006 (UTC)

Maybe he just has No arms altogether and TBC just made him pick things up via levitation. It's just one of those questions that bug everybody-like "How come Marzipan has no legs?" or "Why does Bub's Mouth never move?" or "Why does The Poopsmith always shovel Whatsit?" It's just that way.--Gir007 00:16, 15 February 2006 (UTC)

Exactly my point. That's just the way it is. Looking deeper than you're supposed to will only confuse you. Uh...Cwapface

How did homestar get strong bad to hug that tree?

How did homestar do that?--The-double-deuce 20:26, 16 February 2006 (UTC)

You know how in stupid stuff Homestar outsmarted Strong Bad and made him say something stupid?Thats probably how. - Pants 3000 14:43, 6 April 2007 (UTC)

Stupidity

I've noticed something. Homestar's stupidity seems to have "evolved" over the years. Early on in the site's history, he was represented as being fairly intelligent, or at the very least, not as stupid as he is today. His idiocy steadily increased over time for no apparent reason, except that he's funnier that way. This is supported by the "FBI Warning" that appears before the rerelease of Marshmellow's Last Stand: "Homestar wasn't very funny and neither was Strong Bad. They are mere shadows of the men they have become." Furthermore, simply look at Homestar two or three years ago, and compare that to the present.

My conclusion is that Homestar wasn't always stupid. That and I don't know whether to put this on his biography page or his evolution page.

I dunno. In 2002, he was pretty stupid. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 00:24, 3 April 2006 (UTC)
Same thing happened to Homer Simpson. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Thunderbird 23:43, 6 May 2006 (UTC)

Other names

From Marzipan's Answering Machines, he's referred to himself as the Goatface Killa' and the H*R.

Yup. Those are mentioned on Nicknames. --DorianGray

Legs and shirt in the middle

I saw the imfamous, unfinished Homestar cartoon, Tis True, Pom Pom, Tis True, and Homestar doesn't have his eyes or head in the middle, only the legs and shirt, right?

Merge from Homestar's Arrogance

Fast Forward is a category of Fun Fact. But with so few items we generally don't add the categories, they're all lumped under Fun Facts together. See HRWiki:Standards#Fun Facts to learn more about these. Qermaq - (T/C) Image:Qermaqsigpic.png 14:21, 19 August 2006 (UTC)

Spit Bubble

Should someone mention the fact that when Homestar has a spit bubble stuck in his throat that he sounds exactly like Marzipan on this page? Cyberdemon 9:06 am, 28 september 2006

I think it could be added in a more general sense, like "In Missing Lappy, Homestar had a spit bubble stuck in his throat, which made him sound exactly like Marzipan," but I wonder if it's notable enough to bother. BTW, you can sign with a name and timestamp (one that translates to everyone's time zone automatically) with 4 "~"'s, without spaces (~~~~). Hidden Powers

Technacilly, it was really Strong Bad who did this, but somewhere on the site, shouldn't we put how "Homestar" not only moved the ribbons in "Pumpkin Carve-nival" without arms, but also made them appear out of thin air by saying "ding"? -- DongleGoblin 02:12, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

An Amphibian??

Shoes

Hey, I saw there was reference to SB's statement that Homestar has blue soles glued to the bottom of his feet. I saw today that in New Boots (Powered By The Cheat), he loses a shoe (white with blue sole) and one of his feet has a sock on. I'm not saying this is canon but should it be mentioned? Question

Why don't the transcripts refer to him as simply Homestar? 121.219.112.89 07:19, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
