If we look at the deletion policy, we see that any part of a character's clothing should be merged into that character's page. For example, The Poopsmith's Shovel got merged into the Poopsmith's character page. So I say Merge into Homestar Runner! Sam the Man 16:31, April 18 2007 (UTC)

If Homsar's Bowler Hat is part of his article, Homestar's beanie should be part of his.

That's because Homsar's Bowler Hat is more important then Homestar's Hat. Homsar's Hat is way more, oh I don't know, more active then Homestar's Hat. All Homestar's Hat does is spin it's propeller thing and we already have an article like that. Sam the Man

And I agree with the conversation below, that the Homestar without his hat stuff makes this page more worthy to stand on its own. Perhaps. Basically, I think that the hatless Homestar stuff is semi-nifty and also that it does not belong on Homestar's page. Why not just keep this page? It has enough content to be a page. Homestar Coder 22:52, 18 May 2007 (UTC)

The two examples given in HRW:IG, Coach Z's Z and The Poopsmith's Shovel, are both of only minor importance to any toons... they're a major part of the character's outfit, but that's it. Homestar's hat, however, is a major part of both Where My Hat is At? and car... it's more than just a costume feature, it's a prop, and deserves its own page. Also, as Homestar Coder said, the inclusion guidelines are guidelines, and aren't set in stone. If there's a page that clearly deserves a page, but IG says it shouldn't (or vice-versa), and there's consensus, the guidelines can be ignored (or even changed, if there's consensus to do so). Personally, I think that clause of IG should be reworded, since it even gives an example of BMW Lighter as an acceptable page, even though that item is "closely related to" Strong Bad... but it's played a part in the plot (or at least, the punchlines) of various toons, so it's given its on page. This article seems like it could fit nicely as part of Homestar's Hat. Now, there's the question about whether that article will be merged with Homestar Runner, but that's a separate issue (and perhaps with this info, an article about Homestar's hat will be significant to stand on its own). well, I say that we merge 'spin my buzzer' but not 'naked homestar runner', because 'spin my buzzer' is somewhat related to this. what does 'naked homestar runner' have in common other than not wearing something of his? and I also say that this is merged with 'homestar runner'. I mean, they have his shirt and eyes, plus PART of his hat. why not finish the job? in closing, i say we merge 'spin my buzzer' with this one and merge this one with 'homestar runner'.
