:::Most horn players I've worked with are able to play in that range. The horn (I generally don't say French horn, as all the horn players I've known don't like that inaccurate name) has the widest range of all brass instruments, so while every player certainly couldn't play that low, it's not out of the range of the instrument.--[[User:Big Dog|Big Dog]] 16:32, 20 December 2007 (UTC) | :::Most horn players I've worked with are able to play in that range. ::::Bassbone: Don't forget that part of the problem is that it's a crappy electric keyboard really, so you're not getting any timbral clues to tell what instrument it is. The range and volume are quite reasonable for a horn. {{User:Heimstern Läufer/sig}} 07:39, 22 December 2007 (UTC) | ::::Bassbone: Don't forget that part of the problem is that it's a crappy electric keyboard really, so you're not getting any timbral clues to tell what instrument it is. - | :::::Awesome, just wanted to be sure of all that. My original intent was to communicate to non-musicians that this isn't a representation of typical horn parts in ensemble arrangements, and therefore it probably wouldn't have been an actual horn part -- more likely trombone or tuba -- in a real ensemble, all without ''judging'' it one way or the other. I think we've done all that's appropriate to this end, unless anybody else has any further thoughts. | + | :::::Awesome, just wanted to be sure of all that.
