Is Stickly Man really digging with a shovel? It looks just like a stick to me. When he throws it up in the air, you can see that there is no shovel head. Should the transcript be changed to "digging with a stick"? Or should we all accept that, on road signs, a shovel can be represented by a mere line with no shovel head? --[[User:MenacingBanjo|MenacingBanjo]] 11:14, 21 October 2014 (UTC) | Is Stickly Man really digging with a shovel? - | + | :So the "Thriller" line is "To terrorize y'all's neighborhood", which ''is'' pretty similar, especially when taken with the Halloween context. As for a deliberate reference, I don't know. "Thriller" didn't spring to mind before you mentioned it, and Homestar is dressed as a neighborhood watch sign, so his using the word ''neighborhood'' isn't out of place here. I lean toward coincidence, but only barely. — [[User:It's dot com|It's dot com]] 19:46, 24 October 2014 (UTC) | |

"Hidden Words"
Whoa, somebody beat me to making the page? Perposterous! But anyways, methinks we got a new record for trailers with hidden words being found. Here it is this year (with an image). Notice the odd blue dot... --I was raised by a cup of coffee - Camwoodstock 17:23, 20 October 2014 (UTC)
- Great! Now add it to the eater eggs section. Pgj1997 02:14, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
DeVry?
Can someone explain what that' supposed to be? Is it an American thing? And how is it linked to what happened in da toon? Guybrush20X6 08:44, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
- DeVry University is a higher-learning institution in Illinois. Likely not related to the toon. DEI

Stickly Man With a Stick
Is Stickly Man really digging with a shovel? It looks just like a stick to me. When he throws it up in the air, you can see that there is no shovel head. Should the transcript be changed to "digging with a stick"? Or should we all accept that, on road signs, a shovel can be represented by a mere line with no shovel head? --MenacingBanjo 11:14, 21 October 2014 (UTC)
"Thriller" reference?
Homestar's line about "peepin' 'round y'all's neighborhood" has got to be a reference to Vincent Price's line in "Thriller." http://youtu.be/sOnqjkJTMaA?t=6m30s Anybody else think so? — Maristredfox (Talk | contribs) 18:39, 24 October 2014 (UTC) (left unsigned)
- So the "Thriller" line is "To terrorize y'all's neighborhood", which is pretty similar, especially when taken with the Halloween context. As for a deliberate reference, I don't know. "Thriller" didn't spring to mind before you mentioned it, and Homestar is dressed as a neighborhood watch sign, so his using the word neighborhood isn't out of place here.
